There is no pressure, if she has been writing the eps, that means she doesn't need to deal with Toei being reactionry

Toei is a very reactionary company when it comes to their series so allowing the head writer to write their 20 eps before filming is more lax then anything

IF these 20 eps prove to be insanely good, then maybe Toei will allow the writers to cook more then having them write the plot so close to the deadline and keep their noses out of the writing

My assumption was not a baseless one. A hype does create pressure. If I'm hyped up like that, then I'd feel pressured too. Being hyped up is like being put under the spotlight. If you're not ready, you can crumble.

I don't belittle Junko Komura. I'm just stating a fact about something that entails a hype. I do hope she stands well under pressure and will be able to do her job well.

Same goes for Urobuchi. You think whatever he touches turns in to gold? He's only human, he bleeds red like everybody else. So even if you got your wish of him being the head writer for Gavv, he'd still have to actually write Gavv, which means he can screw up, just like any other writer.

A credible source had already claimed it was Komura, which most of us were willing to accept as the most likely outcome at that point. Not saying that there was anything wrong with you being skeptical until the confirmation, I can respect that, but then you started pinning all of your hopes on one damn writer and now you're just being mean to Komura for not being Urobuchi.

Haha, nope, she won't. I have to side with En-chan and LevisNox on this one. Komura isn't even going to think about Urobuchi when she writes, nor should she. Komura is Komura, she's going to do her own thing and I imagine the show will be better off for it. When you refer to Urobuchi's "very high bar" and "very high standard of quality", this is just your subjective opinion that you're trying to pass off as fact. Personally, I think he's overrated.

Like I stated in my last post, I'm not being mean to Komura, let alone being mean to her for not being Urobuchi. I'm just stating fact since hype does create pressure. I'm just stating that anyone in her position would feel pressured due to the hype.

I still think that these 20 episodes are mentioned for a reason. There may be plans to change the writer halfway through the show. Or the show, in principle, only has a plot for first 20 episodes, and nothing further has been invented yet. Or maybe Komura was simply told to prepare a full-fledged scenario in advance in case of her pregnancy.
