Oh derp...Thankfully I didn't bring her with me into the gym. Kind of a waste, though. I love it's slender design. Ears would look a lot better if they weren't merged together, but otherwise, really nice looking Pokemon.

Gen 6 has introduced the most Dragons that I actually like. That's a surprise, considering most Dragons I only use out of desperation or lack of better choices. I usually can't stand Dragons :lol

As soon as I get a shiny Amaura, or give up, I'll be breeding myself a Goomy. Regular though. The shiny one is too pink.

I'm just disappointed that we finally get a Poison/Dragon and it's ugly as hell.

Haven't even gotten far enough in to get a Noivern (just entered the 6th gym before calling it a night), but I had wanted one from the start... Maybe if I can fit it into the rotation and don't mind training it up that late into the game...

X is the first game I have not encountered a shiny in yet for a long time. Also, where do you find Noivern's pre-evolution?

Terminus Cave, but not through a normal encounter. In Terminus Cave, a Pokemon can randomly drop from the ceiling, trigging an encounter, and so far, that's the only way I've encountered Noibats.

And I haven't seen a Shiny yet, either.
I've heard others tell me the Shiny encounter rate has been lowered so they're easier to find, but I haven't seen any yet.

My girlfriend found a shiny Snubbull before even having the game for 24 hours. >_<

Many do believe the rate has increased, but I also haven't found one. And a lot of them are in hordes.

Already have a box and a half of them. Currently have it with a Japanese Snorlax to increase the odds. And I enjoy green and purple. I like the pink, but I prefer the normal colors.

I won't believe the rate has gone up until someone gives direct proof of it being stated somewhere.

I usually get common early game Pokemon, but the moments you get something like Larvesta, Torchic, or a starter make the Wonder Trade worth it.

I went Megastone hunting the past 2 hours, I got the Gengarite, Alakazite, Medichite?, Sizcorite, Garchompite, and Absolite.

Lv50 Spindas are actually rather common by the time you hit the town the 8th gym is in.

Where does one find Scizor's Mega Stone?

In the Frost Cavern by Dendemille Town it's literally right behind Abomasnow.

Fuck me the psychic gym is brutally hard, reminds me of the old days where you'd play to your last HP, go in for the winning blow, only for the enemy to get a convenient one two punch of avoiding your attack and returning theirs as a crit. I fucking hate that shit, it infuriates me.

The maxing affection in Pokemon amie perks are so good. In the electric gym battle I had my Tyrantrum first shake off paralysis, then withstand a hit despite only having 1hp left because it "didn't want to let me down".

Is there anywhere to train near the psychic gym? I'd rather not have to go back into the Ice Cave but as far as I can tell that is the only place to go as the other route is blocked off.

I beat the psychic gym! The game almost bullshitted me again, but with Blaziken being the only Pokémon left standing, with only two HP left, with Mega Evolution already used, I unleashed Quick Attack and stole the win!

I also got rid of Chesnaught and replaced him with Abomasnow. I wanted to keep him in, because he was my starter, but with my Blaziken and Lucario I basically need no one else and since Abomasnow is the only other Pokémon I could Mega Evolve, I needed him in my party.

I've pretty much ditched my chesnaught too. I still think he's the best out of the starters (looks wise anyway) but he's just meh. I think he's just overshadowed by all the new awesome designs of other pokes. Also ditched my Blastoise, definitely not sold on the whole mega evolution thing. I think it'd be cooler if they worked like a final fantasy summon (like in 12/13) where they appear for a bit then unleash a special attack. Heck or at least gain a new megaevo exclusive attack.

But eh, minor niggle. My team is in constant flux at the moment though as well so they could both be back. Just training up my fletchinder now I can use fly and went back and caught a few skrelps. Give me a shout if anyone wants one =]

Greninja is actually my favourite of the three starters lookswise, but I'd just done a playthrough with the water starter on White 2 and wanted a change. Chespin proved a vital part of my team, well into his evolution as a Quilladin, but by the time he became Chesnaught, I already had my Lucario and Blaziken who could Mega Evolve and one shot whole teams, so I had no need for him any more.

I think the whole Mega Evolution thing is cool, but also fairly pointless, for all the flash out of the three Mega Evolution's I've unlocked, Mega Blaziken is the only 'cool' one and I only use Mega Lucario as much as I do because he owns so much ass.

But yeah, my team is in constant flux as well, I'm trying my hardest to keep Dedenne and Hawlucha in my team because I love them both, but when I'm discovering so many new and exciting pokémon, I have to make space somehow, my Lucario and Blaziken are the only Pokémon who I think I will keep as constants.

About the only 'lucky' thing is so far most of the Pokémon I've added to my team have been fairly useless. Like Pumpkaboo had a cool design but I wasn't able to find a practical use for it on my team at all.

I think she was just the perfect foil to my team, what weren't weak to physic moves, were weak to flying or water. And what wasn't weak to that, was I dunno, broken? I tried using my Deddene's lightning moves on the Slowking, only to find them do very little damage, despite being super effective. I did more damage with Fairy moves, which didn't have the super effective bonus.

Finally caught both a male and female Heracross! Once I beat the 4th gym and can use fly, I'll be breeding baby Heracrosses for anyone that needs one.

Also, I've taken a major liking to Sigilyph and am pretty sure it's going to remain a staple of my team. It's flying/psychic typing makes it pretty devastating, just need to teach it some ghost moves.

So I think out of all three mini games they put in Amite, Head it is probably the most fun and addicting, especially when you get a rhythm going.

:cry I wish natures were never invented!!! It's so hard to find the right Pokemon.

I still don't see the big deal with natures. I know you guys explained why they are a big deal, but unless I'm just really lucky, I've yet to meet a truly broken Pokémon by not paying attention to the natures. Maybe I'm missing out on the best version of my Pokémon by not paying attention to the natures, but I don't feel like I've got the worst out of them and that is okay.
