Just finished W, best finale I've seen in a while. I still can't choose between OOO and Kiva, maybe I'll just watch them both!

Episode 10 of Kiva:

man...Nago is a jerk. This episode also did something that no other rider series did...it made me feel sorry for the monster of the week. When IXA found him I was actually afraid that he would die, because I almost didn't want him to. He did though, I'm honestly surprised that a Rider series made a monster a somewhat tragic characer. It was also nice to see Otoya get deep, and not just be the goofy guy. I did like this episode though, and IXA and Kiva fight in the next episode.

Rewatched episode 1 of Decade.
I could probably write an essay as to how every second of that Rider War scene was wrong and point out how the inclusion of some characters and some actions created plot holes so wide we could <Analogy here>.

Somehow, miraculous, I managed to get through it without chewing my own face off.

Then comes the character introductions of Natsumi and Tsukasa. They both need acting lessons. They're on par with early Fourze Yuuki in how bad their line delivery is.
Then comes the panic, attack, mass world travelling, and first transformation.
Watching him transform into Kabuto, Faiz, and Hibiki just made me wish I was watching one of their shows.

Did I mention I fucking hate amnesia as a story telling device? Because I do. It's fucking stupid. It pads out time with snippets of "Why do I know this? How did I know to do that?" with the intention of coming up with an answer later on. It doesn't add to the mystique of a character, it doesn't compel me to want to continue. It's a cliche story device that, when used poorly (Oh, and it almost ALWAYS is), is used to pad out the length of a work and intentionally confuse viewers on actions and intentions, often with poor resolution because it's a shoehorned in element, rather than the story created to accommodate it.

I thought it was ok. I wish that Ryotarou and Wataru interacted more. I don't understand why all of the sudden Ryotarou's Imagin and Hana are detectives. I thought it was kind of cool how The Owner has his own DenGasher. The rookie detective was ok, kind of a wimp. I liked how he managed to arrest that guy in the end. Negataros...eh...it kind of bothered me how he kept saying "my evil organization! My evil organization!" His design was cool, but I don't feel then need to get his Figuart, or Nega Den-O's Figuart. Yuuto and Deneb had some pretty good moments. I wonder how he got into Negataros' inner circle. They also didn't really explain why some Fangire were working with some of the Imagin, also how did Ryotarou find out about the Fangire? Also, one thing that kind of bothered me was the double Rider Kick. They bothered to do the whole Wake Up thing with Kiva, and they bothered to put in the "Charge and Up" and the awesome standby music for Climax Form's Rider Kick, yet didn't bother to get the version of the suit with the Den-Kamens on the leg. This actualy bothers me with a lot of Rider movies, it seems like their abilities are lessened especially during Rider Kicks since a lot of times they'll just do a generic Rider Kick. The closest time I've ever seen a Rider in a cameo use some of their powers was Hibiki in Letms Go All Kamen Riders. Also...I really want a Figuart of normal Kiva and his bike. I really like his bike.

Kamen Rider W, Solty Rei and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are examples of amnesia done right. Also Tsubasa is a good example of the "traveling from world to world" idea done right as well.

I thought Climax Deka was a fun Den-O movie, but they shouldn't have even bothered with the Kiva cameo. It felt so tacked on. And i Love Kiva more than anyone else, possibly.

I agree, we totally need an SHF Kiva, especially Garulu form, and his bike is one of the cooler ones.

Tacked on... have you seen Decade's 'role' in the onigashima battleship? That is the meaning of cameo in your own movie. And before anyone says it was just a 'Den-O' movie, it had Decade in th title. It was a goodish movie, even if it was mainly Deneb and the other imagin that saved it

Yes. Because he can show up, understand and speak Grongi, figure out a false game to mislead everyone and the actual game, know beforehand that spilling blood would break the rules, and use everyone's powers. He's totally a believable character that's worth following.

Black Knight was pretty cool. I'm guessing this is where the running gag of the movies being "Kamen Riders fight re-purposed 70's Toei superheroes as bad guys" started, which means they'll be fighting evil version of Barom-1 and Robot Keji any day now, I suppose.

Kiva episodes 11-14:

I thought they were all pretty solid. Nago is very controlling, now I can see why some of you don't like him very much. Gosh...does he have a grandmother who tells him he'll rule everything too? That Kengo guy was ok, I don't get why he didn't trust Wataru when he said that he was suspicious considering he said "we're best friends". Kamen Rider seems to have a habit of having a minor character play an insert song. They also revealed what Jirou is...a Wolfen, and there's also Merman, and Franken...I can dig it. What is with Jirou wanting to...*ahem* have Yuri bear his children? Also Otoya as IXA was cool. Jirou didn't seem to happy about it though (and I know Jirou doesn't kill him since I already know that Otoya dies from using Kivat's dad too many times). The Spider Fangire showed up again...I wa hoping that Nago would Rider Kick him into oblivion, but sadly that didn't happen.

Yeah...I'm going to come clean...a few years ago before I got into toku. I kept hearing about Kamen Rider (mostly Decade) and I was like "ok I'm going to check him out!" After 3 episodes I was like Kamen Rider is cool, but it's not really my thing" so...I guess thatt speaks volumes about Decade. :lol
