Because I don't consider having to take a little time to get a pose a lot of other figures of that price range can't achieve a "huge goof"? It took about 5-10 mins to get right, not hours.

But every other pose can be done in a matter of seconds, so ten minutes to achieve his signature pose, which should be the most natural pose of all is ridiculous.

It didnt even take that long. I knew it was a big fuss, so it was the first thing i had to try right out of the box.

Well if you don't like it, go out and buy a different Dragon Ranger that can do his signature pose.

Like I've disclaimed many a time, the figure is great, it's just a shame that such a crucial pose is such a pain in the ass, I've got the knack down now though, you have to pop the hand loose and basically balance it on the peg to get proper lip to flute action.
