From what I've come to understand, the elbows cracking comes from active use, so if you're the type of collector who's gonna put him in one pose and keep him that way forever, it shouldn't be an issue. If the joints do still crack though, you can easily buy replacement joints online.

I had an SS Kabuto for 6 years and I touch my figures a lot. I had Dark Kabuto, Gatack, and Kick Hopper for some time, too.

The first time I heard about the elbow problem I was convinced it was complete bullshit. Your mileage may vary, I guess.

I didn't handle my Kabuto a lot and his elbow still broke off.

It's all about how you handle the joint when you mess with it. If the elbow's tight and you're insisting on moving it by bending at the forearm, the joint will break from stress.

So basically it's a 50/50 chance you'll get one with fucked elbows? Is it maybe to do with a later run?

So what's everyone's bets for the next Seihou Main Rider at Tamashii? I definitely feel they'll do a new one for the 50th. For me it's between Black RX, Ryuki or Faiz -- wherever Black goes RX soon follows; and while Fourze, Blade and pretty much every Showa Rider is a contender for a Seihou Renewal I think Ryuki and Faiz would make the most sense as an eye-drawing thing for the 50th anniversary. Big popular guys. Next year is also Ryuki's 20th if you can believe it!

At this point, buying Kabuto would make it a used copy and if it hasn't broke from previous owner, you're probably good.

Interestingly, Ryuki and Fourze have gotten a lot of attention from other toy lines this year. Probably doesn't correlate to anything at Tamashii, but I don't see why they can't also jump on the wagon

I would say RX, considering Black Sun is being teased there as well. If not, maybe something Agito related since this year would be his 20th anniversary. Could be Fourze too.

Personally I'd still love to see an SS Faiz. SS Birth or V3 would also be welcomed.

I'd cry for SS Faiz releases since there are so many accessories they'd probably include. I used to modify all my Faiz Figuarts by basically kitbashing them with DX body-kuns and giving them the bottom halves of their bodies.

Just having a flippable FaizPhone (though, that might be too fragile) to play around with would be nice. I kinda want to be scummy and say the Axel watch has to be included with Kaixa instead, juts so we can get a product shot of the Axel watch being chucked to Faiz.

Really well. Figuarts joints are compatible for the most part, so it was an easy modification. It takes a little work to separate the lower legs from Figuarts(in general). Aside from that, the hardest part is painting the body-kun's upper legs/crotch but it's not suuuuper necessary.

I really wish I kept pictures. It was so long ago.
