@Topic: Kamen Rider Evil's Jackal form change is so minor I wonder if we can get alternate parts included with the base form.

I only picked up one figuart from Saber and it was Buster. That figure looks so good.

Buster's blade was huge in the show so seeing it as finger sized here is hilarious to me.

It’s just a head and chest swap, right? I could maybe see his first alternate. Then again, the form changes for Buster, Kenzan and Slash were ALSO very minor and yet…

Not even that. For the head just the front mask part needs to switch, and only the left side of the chest. Simple peg connections and the chest doesn't even need a new mold, just different paint. They've done more on retail figures before but who knows.

I wouldn’t call them all minor, an entire different arm to sculpt and paint ain't nothing to sneeze at. The Hansel Bremen arm on Slash for example is very detailed.

Believe it or not, they're deceptively complicated if you're going for show-accuracy. Even SO-DO and RKF don't pull it off accurately- only thing they got right was "hey take out this arm and stick another one in". The problem with their form changes is that they retain their undersuits despite having new bicep/forearm armor, which is kind of insane to think Figuarts would do.

It might work if they didn't care about making the arms compatible between all 3 Riders, but that kind of defeats the purpose. Kenzan doesn't even have a bicep curl so I can't begin to imagine how they'd pull off the gimmick.

I think Build Genius might actually pop up for pre-order soon-ish. We all joked about these Figuarts photo-prints that came alongside the exclusive clear figures, and today they openly admitted that Genius is the only photographed figure not commercialized yet.

However, they end the sentence with a "but..." so I assume they are currently working on it.

My question is, do I still want it after all this time? Honestly? Probably not, no.

Only because I want to have all 20 main Heisei Riders' base and final forms as figuarts is why I care to see Build Genius released still plus I love the design and many other final form design. It's still annoying to me that they went out of the way to release the other Build rider's final and special forms such as Prime Rogue, Cross Evol, and Grease Perfect but yet are dragging out Genius form.

Maybe if they haven't or continue to tease the prototype some people wouldn't keep looking forward to it...I mean it doesn't look like they made changes to it so why keep holding it back...it's more than likely gonna be a bare-bones release with no special accessories? Possibly include an additional build driver belt with the hazard trigger to mimic when he used it in Genius form?

There's basically never any legit production reason to hold back an SHF, it's all a conscious decision for marketing's sake

Scalping deals in artificial scarcity. Ichiban Kuji Horobi is no artificial scarcity, he is the rarest one in the line up and is thus intentionally scarce. If this was scalping, Taka would be somehow in possession of multiples of this Horobi and jacking up the price. But he doesn't or presumably he isn't because it would be financially demanding to do so.

He is simply matching the demand for him. Check Yahoo Auctions and you'll find plenty of this Horobi going for 150-250+. And if you say that you found one for less than that, try outbidding someone then.

I'm a little heated, but that's because I've no patience for unfair slander on small businesses. His prices are not the cheapest obviously, but doesn't mean he is this or that.

If an item is rare, it costs more. If it's harder for the middlemen to acquire, they need to sell it for more to make a living. It's really not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Hey everyone no need to get worked up over someone's reaction to the price of an item...I'm sure we all understand how demand and pricing works when it comes to a legitimate limited item. If the going rate for the lucky draw Horobi is the same as the original figuart then someone will be better off getting that one.

Atleast that one has the weapon and I'll admit I don't like how the clear variant looks but was wondering what it might be going for since it comes with less despite being a lottery item

It sucks for us International fans who are fans of Kamen Rider and understand that we may never be part of that target audience for products like this but hopefully one day that'll change even for a limited time

Taka is doing Taka, snd that’s good for him, but not for my wallet, and I buy to SAVE money, not to give it away needlessly when there’s other choices. His price on this Figuarts IS “scalper high”

I do not get why are you guys are angry over the price the normal version of horobi is already pretty expensive, of cause the lottery version of him would be even more expensive or even be at the same price. And he is the last price of the lottery mean you have to buy all of the ticket in order to get him. So means if the lottery have 10 ticket left the person have to buy all 10 ticket to get him or wait some other person to buy a few ticket so you can buy lesser ticket which i doubt that person will just buy a few ticket when he can just all of it and get the horobi. Also you can only get one horobi from thaytwhole lottery unlike Build,Zi-O,Zero One and Saber which you can get a number of them from the lottery.

It's the aftermarket. Of course it's going to pop up often in various high prices. That's how it is. But the official way of obtaining is the scarce part. You're not getting the Horobi because, as maoman states you have bought the last ticket to obtain him. So, you're either lucky that you got the last ticket or you go in there and buy up all the tickets, which explains the fluctuating but also high price of Horobi. It's really not that hard to understand.

I just hate when companies do stuff like this for figures that people will for sure want due to the original selling out quick...like why not just do another limited release window like what they did for Ohma Zi-O which of course was decided by fans and should of been a sign to Bandai to know we want stuff like this to happen more often....
