Yeah speculating on a writer's potential pregnancy, or putting forwards the idea that this must be some contingency plan in case she gets pregnant is getting into weird and uncomfortable territory.

It'll be neat to have a female head writer again since that's kind of been Yasuko Kobayashi's thing (and she hasn't done a Rider show since OOO outside Amazons).

Gotta agree this speculation has gone off the rails. Toei does seem to be handling things a bit differently, but I really doubt it has anything to do with the specific writer, especially given she's worked on Sentai before.

Aside from that, I think it's gonna be interesting to see how having such an advanced filming/writing schedule like this will affect Gavv. I think one of the more interesting things that I haven't seen anyone comment is the fact that with this change, that there's less likely gonna be chances for the writing to shift based on a character's/Rider's sudden popularity.

Which could be a great thing because it means the story's much more steady, or unfortunate because we might not get a situation like Kaito Kumon getting a Genesis Driver and Lemon Energy Arms because of his popularity.

This brings up an interesting possibility though. With us being this far ahead now and depending on what they do for the Winter Movie... we might have a more solid grasp on the Gavv elements if they're aware of what's going to be going down by the early teens.

I wonder if they'll be able to maintain this kind of production speed moving forward?

Like many people online have said already, it seems in all likelihood that the early production is simply bc if they want the show to simul-release in China, the episodes need to be done way in advance, bc government agencies in China need to okay all officially released media before it goes out. This seems like the most simple and believable reason, and it seems it would be true regardless of who wrote the show. It seems extremely unlikely the change in pace has anything to do with the writer selected, at all.

I am curious to see how this change will affect the show tho, certainly it'll force them to stick to their guns more. For example, if a character cements themselves as a fan favourite in episode 24, then dies in episode 32... Well they can't just write them back in due to audience reaction bc the show will be done filming lol

Toei can always use TTFC for this. There is also the issue of leaks. That is, detailed information about Gavv was already leaked almost immediately after the title was announced. The following is the story with the first three episodes on the site. Even scriptwriter Komura was known but not confirmed. I doubt that the episodes themselves will appear earlier, but it is quite likely that the script for the show, leaked by one of the careless employees of Toei or their Chinese partners, may appear online.

I can't find anything anywhere yet to confirm, but looking at the kaijin designs, anyone else think that Niθ is this year's creature designer?

It would not be surprising, since this is a Takebe-san show, and they also worked together on Gaim 10 years ago.
