Just finished the livestream of the Sevenger Fight international premiere.

The amount of effort Tsuburaya put into this was absolutely unnecessary, but I am so happy they did it anyways. Just goes to show how serious they are about expanding Ultraman's presence overseas.

There's going to be another event on July 10th, which is not only Ultraman Day but also the day a certain new series premieres...

It was truly a love letter to fans in the West. It's great to be acknowledged in such an official way.

Just saw the Tiga & Dyna movie, and I though Daigo was a Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film was a more recent thing but I was proven wrong by a 1998 movie.

As I recall; after the TV show ended, Daigo's actor only ever re-appeared in The Final Odyssey and Super 8 Ultra Brothers. He really didn't get to come back much!

He also appeared in Dyna's final episode. From what I remember hearing Daigo was supposed to be in this but the touring schedule for V6 wouldn't allow for it at the time.

The Z Chronicle: Heroes Odyssey Chronicle is still going and at some point, they're gonna have aired entire Tiga show while cutting around its main character.

Speaking of Tiga, the last few images have gotten me more hyped for Trigger. It really does feel like some kind of new modern-reboot of Tiga with New Generation sensibilities. I wonder how many of the the 90s monster suits are still lying around... This could be Silvergon's second chance at fame!

So just finished Tiga and I like it. It certinly episodic but the episodes are very memorable and the eurobeat soundtrack was a delight.

This show was the first time I experienced Akio Jissoji work in episode 37 and 40 I can't wait to the older shows to see more of him.

Now to finish the last TDG series for me Dyna.

I completely forgot that Juggler got an Ultra Action Figure, until I was perusing HLJ's sales tonight because of their big Summer Sale. Decided to snag him because hey there were only three left, I love Juggler, and I'm not paying tons of money for an SHF that already came out.

Voice actor casting news for Trigger.

MAO will be voicing Alien Metron Maruru.

Ryosuke Takahashi (Takuto Ando/Lio-Sazer in Chousei Kantai Sazer-X and Samurai Calibur in SSSS. Gridman) will be voicing Hudrum.

Sumire Uesaka (Yuni from Star Twinkle Pretty Cure) will be voicing Kamilla.

Shunichi Maki (Boxing Wald from Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger) will be voicing Dargon.

So no human forms for the new dark giant trio?

Nothing announced. Though I know one person suggested they could be the three other humans in GUTS Select, that’s only a theory.

I like it. Not quite as energetic and fun as Z, but still very good. The song is rather catchy actually.

That being said I really do love the opening. Honestly the only OP I've been sorta meh on ever since Ginga has been Taiga's. I just, never really liked it. Either way I have to file Ultraman Z's OP away from the others because there's not a lot of people who can compete with Masaki Endoh's sheer vocals and charisma.

Ending sounds pretty standard, a good way to wind down from the episode. Not much to really say on it.

So hey question about Z did the main villian ever really get much development? I dropped around ep 16. Not for any particular reason, just lost energy.

Also did Z the character get to do more? He always seemed to be less important then he was made out to be.

I like the theme!

It's okay, but I was kind of hoping it would, I don't know, take me higher.

The chorus is good I think. But yeah, feels a little lukewarm.

Celebro switches hosts, but he's sort of more pshycopathic as a villain rather than anything like Juggler, but he does set up an interesting final fight.

Z does indeed get some more time to shine, especially when Ace appears in one episode, probably not as much as some of the other Ultras in the New Generation, but still enjoyable.

I can understand some people finding Ultraman to be a little jarring when it comes to it's protagonist/Ultraman relationship, but all in all, they've given some enjoyable seasons.

It feels like an early Heisei Ultraman opening to me like Tiga's.

Of course, it would be hard to top Endoh's ULTRAMAN ZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEED! op hahaha.

Trigger's theme has some high expectations to meet considering it's going to be compared to Tiga and Z's themes. But I like it! I'm glad they decided that a new (sort of) Tiga still needs a Eurobeat theme.

Me and the buddies just watched the Tiga Final Odyssey movie (despite me not watching Tiga yet lmao, they asked me to watch the movie with them), and saw that that Carmilla has a relationship with Tiga.

So, is that gonna be a thing for this new Carmilla as well?

I like the theme song quite a bit! As much as I enjoy the typical passionate toku opening that belts out the hero's name, I've always leaned more these kinds of songs that are sliiiightly more subtle about its association (yes I say this even though the song has the word 'Trigger' in it like a dozen times).

Did Dyna have a change of writers or directors? Around the 30s there's a clear change of tone and dropped most of the comedy the series was going with since the 1st episode, and now it's taking itself more seriously than ever, and even Asuka is less of a goofball and doesn't fool around like his usual personality. Dyna used to be mostly boring that I felt like I was forcing myself to watch, but now I'm more hooked to it than before.

Huh... that makes the change in writing style more confusing. Maybe they received enough letters telling them the series is too silly so they had to change it or something.

Just because a show naturally leans towards a certain tone as it gets further along doesn't mean there was some outside force. Writing just turns out that way sometime.

Quick question, where does Ultraman usually play at? I wanna try and keep up with Trigger.
