So wait, are you guys not enjoying the Current Superman & Son DC Rebirth titles? Because they're the most fun I've had with Superman comics in a while.

Green Lanterns could use some work, and Hal and the rest of Corps' story is taking a while to get going. Flash is doing what most people are tired of show-wise, adding more speedsters and not focusing on/developing more rogues to fight, and Wonder Woman is going through yet another origin story, so at this point she's as bad as her sister Donna. I won't even get into Justice League.

Having said that, I'm glad the Titans are no longer gritty dark (could do with a different artist, but my Wally's back so I'll live), and while I'm annoyed that Aquaman seems to have taken a few steps back from what the last issues of his last volume were doing, such as Mera's attitude towards us surface dwellers, it does seem like Arthur's happier now, so that's good for me.

Wonder Woman, Superman, and New Super-Man are the only books I'm following, and I think Wonder Woman's my favorite so far. I'm looking forward to Superwoman this week.

My first Lantern was John Stewart (i.e. the actual best). Hal's at his best in The New Frontier and under Johns's pen. Hell, Green Lantern: The Animated Series was a great version of Hal. But that doesn't change the fact that prior to any of those things, Hal Jordan was the biggest #@$%ing idiot in the DC Universe. (And that's counting this one soldier from a Golden Age Superman comic who shot himself in the foot after Superman failed to be executed by firing squad.)

I won't deny that Green Lantern: Rebirth led to some really great comics. But in rereading the original miniseries, Hal honestly felt more like a Mary Sue than anything.

My main exposure has been to Barry, but I still thinking ousting Wally was a regressive choice.

It's a trite backstory that falls in line with Geoff Johns creative style of "no, comics are serious, not silly."

And Johns involvement so far has only been with Green Lanterns and DC Universe: Rebirth. EVerything else was mostly on the onus of the creative teams.

Geoff Johns is the Chief Creative Officer for DC. DiDio and Lee are co-publishers. Their jobs are to approve whatever Johns comes up with. With Rebirth, DiDio and Lee went to Johns with the idea of ending the New 52 in May, but Johns was the architect behind the creative direction.

Also, you may not agree with every decision that DiDio's made, but there's no need to be rude.

If you're gonna watch it, watch it with friends--especially if they knew something about film. If you watch it by yourself, you'll probably suffer. But if you watch it with friends, it'll probably be a blast.

Realised I never gave my thoughts on the film. It wasn't good, but I don't think it deserves all the hate it seems to be getting. There were definitely the makings of a decent film in there, muddied down by some awful character development and some really odd story decisions - missing the entire point of the Joker/Harley relationship being the big one. While I'm still not a fan of the slimmed down Waller I liked this one A LOT more than Arrow's version of her.

Really the film should have just cut the entire Enchantress story out entirely and had the Squad go after the Joker (it honestly felt like the Enchantress threat seemed a bit much for the Suicide Squad, but whatevs). Have Harley betray the Squad, then Joker betray Harley and then Harley rejoin the Squad. Yes it's an incredibly predictable Joker/Harley plot, but at least that one makes sense and would have made better use of the characters.

That isn't to say I didn't like Enchantress though, I just feel like her place wasn't in this movie. Neither was Katana's though it pains me to say.

Mine is Dick Grayson, you can't go wrong with the classic. Damian Wayne is a close call though.

Yeah, Waller is supposed to be an unlikable ****bag, so that is what makes her great, and Davis pulled it off wonderfully. She is so far the best Waller we have had in live acton thus far despite not being fat.

Enchantress belonged in a JL Dark movie or something, not this.

Actually I like Tim Drake probably because the first batch of Batman comics I encountered as a kid had him in it so familiarity I guess.
Dick and Jason are my favorites as their post-Robin alter egos.

So I saw Suicide Squad today and I thought it was an okay to good movie. I actually think this movie would benefit a lot more from added footage then Batman v Superman. It's really weird how sometimes there conflict in the city goes on awhile, because if they used other scenes to break that up, I think it would be better for the movie. I heard Jared Leto was disappointed his Joker was only in a handful of scenes in the film, and after watching it, cutting back to Joker doing random schenanigans would help break up the action. Even more flashback scenes would have helped.

But the Joker in this movie, at least his voice, sounds like a guy doing a Joker impression. It just was kinda outside belivablilty for me.

I wish they had spent more time with Cara Delvigne's character, I mean, I feel bad for her getting inhabited by a witch, and I assume she's smart and determined because's she is an archeologist going on expeditions but other than that her character has nothing to her. I'd be a lot more invested in getting her back from being possesed and Rick Flag's stake in the conflict if she was stronger.

I have no interest in Super Woman. I do like how the S logo looks similar to the electric Superman of the 90s though.

BTW, Jared Leto is apparently pissed that WB cut out 3/4s of all of the filming he did for SS.

So, I watched "The Killing Joke". I liked it. It was wonderful. During the previews oit showed something for an Arkham Movie that pretty much stars the Suicide Squad. In this preview is hows a rather large Amanda Waller. And yet half of the actresses playing her are on the thin side. Why can't they get theier minds straight when it comes ot her appearance? I mean CCH Pounder voices the woman. She's....on the plump side, have her play Amanda in the damn movies!!!

I was pretty hyped for it before, but that blew away my expectations in ways I didn't... well, expect it to.

I don't think I've read a comic that's ever done that to me before.

Saw someone on Facebook argue that the DC movie verse Flash is already more experienced that TV Barry.

I know not everyone likes the movieverse, and those that do feel a strong need to defend it/prop it up, but seriously?

"Knightmare" Flash is about the same as that Flash we keeping seeing in the show whenever they Flashback to Barry's mom's death. The Flash we'll see in the JL movie won't be that experienced, or bound in desert cloth, and so far he's only shown to have beaten Capt. Boomerang, so he's hardly on the same level of Gustin's Flash, who's crossover to 2 different universes and traveled back and forth through time about 5 times already.

I mean I'll give Ezra's version a chance, he seems nice, but the only major thing going for him is that he seems to just naturally zap anything around him, which seems more dangerous than necessary.
