Oh crap...forgot that...well I'll just find some holding hands that blend in or make my own lol better than dropping almost $200 for the original release
|
The funny part is that on their facebook page in a post they advertised their attache bow with the lucky draw Horobi so they know he's lacking holding hands
|
If you are desperate, https://hobby-genki.com/en/shfiguart...ng-hopper.html
|
Good thing I'm not desperate enough yet to pay for 5-digit SHFs.

Drools I wonder if the aftermarket would be merciful.. It's just a movie form that showed up for 2 minutes, haha.... Maybe I should pick up the original figure it's based from. Actually dunno why I haven't.

Also shf upgrade responded to my comment about asking if they will include holding hands for their attache bow and they said yes

The gang's back together
(TARAI_YOU) https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FEcBdyka...jpg&name=large Thankfully, his forehead piece doesn't look as transparent as it did in the sample shot. Though, may need to test that out once I get mine. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FEcGCxBa...name=4096x4096 |
Lord they look great together. Ikazuchi himself looks great. I love the matte red.
|
Wish it was gloss instead since that's how the suit looks, but I don't know if that would make the figure unintentionally look cheap or not.
And I'm not about to slap on some spray paint on a P-Bandai figure |
I just like how beautiful Burning Falcon is and stands out but maybe it's the photoshot and bad positioning of the others
|
Modern figuarts seriously look so good these days. I just quickly scrolled past that image and it looked like actual people in suits!
|
Helps that TARAI_YOU really knows how to nail mannerisms and poses of the suit actors. Could learn a thing or two from him.
|
Not gonna lie this has me excited for Kamen Rider MetsubouJinrai and how good it will look with them BUT even more excited if Ark-Zero gets shown off again and confirmed for release this weekend
|
|
Can you spot which one hasn't been confirmed for release yet because I can? :cry:lol:cry:lol
Just confirm him already.... |
That V3 seihou looks great btw!
|
Doesn't seem like he's using any rubber on him either? Are we finally safe?
I think we're getting a Nigou ver. 50th, too. There's Genius over there. What makes me curious, and obviously the one I focusing my eyes on, is the pic below with Zero-One, Saber, and the RiseHopper. Noticing some silver bits below Saber. Could we be getting Diago Speedy? |
Yes it does look like Saber has his bike as well
|
I never noticed Ikazuchi's cool shoes before. (Probably because he's barely in the show and doesn't do a lot but y'know)
Excited for that V3! |
|
V3 looks GORGEOUS. I will laugh if the Saber bike that got mere seconds of screentime gets a release
|
With how big the Saber figuarts are, I wonder how that will impact the bikes. It would be weird for it to be larger than the Ride Hopper.
Also, that Build Genius looks a little anemic? Like a 2015 figuarts. |
Uh don’t know if anyone is aware of this but the P Bandai page is not showing the Figuarts for people outside of Japan or any item.
Wonder how this will affect sites and collectors. |
Always been that way
Edit: oh wait, yeah, hang on; their region blocking improved and I can't cheese around it anymore. Shoot! |
Has Genius ever appeared in marketing before? I can only remember seeing casually decorating a shelf it at the annual expo with no attention called to it whatsoever.
I'm hoping this is a sign. My Build collection won't feel complete without it. |

I'm not sure how it would effect middlemen; the whole thing with them is that they can access the website in JP and buy the thing for you in the first place. This wouldn't change that

They acknowledged that Genius is the only figure featured on the photos that isn't released, and told people that they are working on changing that. I'd say it's happening soon; maybe they are using the event to promote a pre-order date. |
The last few Tamashii events have also featured very, very few figures that did not eventually see release in the following year. If we look at last year's Kamen Rider selection at Nations; the only things that have not gotten a release confirmation are Ark-Zero, Azu, Build Genius and the Toridevendor. Meanwhile we've seen releases of Naki, Ikazuchi, Zeronos, Espada, Calibur, Emperor Kiva and Kuuga Rising Ultimate; and Ark-Zero will of course come very soon (maybe even with an Azu head lol).
Basically, Tamashii Nations/Features recently has taken the surprising turn of actually friggin' releasing stuff it shows, so I think that this month or not long after will finally be Build Genius' time to shine! |
Well I somewhat got one of wishes fulfilled in which I wanted more Sailor Moon releases showed off particularly them rereleasing the Super versions of the Inner Sailor group but the Tamashii Nations page has revealed a figuart of Eternal Sailor Moon
|
Also, they will sometimes mark stuff as 'for display' or 'to be released' even without a date, and I'm sure Genius has shown up with the later label before. It's always been a matter of 'when' not 'if' for him, but yeah, it's probably 'now' in not too long.
|
last year I was digging around and surprised to see ark one hadn't got a figuarts, it never occurred to be something like genius form also wouldn't have one.

It's due to the slow process of getting SHFs out, combined with the sheer number of suits Tokusatsu puts out these days.
Back in the days of, say, Fourze; there were 7 main suits in-show, plus 3 movie-exclusive ones and the bikes. Especially with how fast SHF put stuff out in the early 2010s this also gave them room to do more stuff like module sets and villains and even the space suit; and sure enough, we saw almost everything Fourze released in 2012 with only a module set, a few villains and the late movie suits done in the following year. Fast forward to recent stuff and oh boy. Counting all the TV series riders and only the main upgrades, Zero-One has more Riders alone than Fourze had suits; at 9 riders plus 11 upgrade suits. This isn't even counting the movie stuff either -- that adds on another 10 (though I don't think we'll get Abaddon and Lucifer). Zero-One prioritised doing Izu as well, and is now doing the bike. And then when you consider that this series wasn't exceptional for this, but in fact was the norm among modern Riders, so they're constantly juggling playing catch-up with the previous series and then there's when they get onto the next series too... Basically there's no way stuff can come out anywhere near as fast these days. Zero-One has almost 30 suits to cover, and so does pretty much every other Rider season around it. It's only natural it's taking them a while to get to the end-series form |
Also keep in mind for awhile they stopped doing v-cinema and movie exclusives stuff in the line unless it was a really popular character such as Kamen Rider Gemn getting level billion released well before Maximum Mighty Gamer did despite the later being shown off first. Fast forward to today and now you have vcinema, movie exclusive and specials forms and characters getting priority over the in-show content that it's so surreal to me
