If you think Brawl and Smash 4 are so similar that you can't tell the differences, I recommend you sell your Wii U, sell all your games, and take a gaming sabbatical, because you're reaching for something to complain over how Nintendo buttfucked you or something with that. |

Yes, I want revolutionary new IPs more than anything else.
However, it's not like we get a new Metroid or Zelda every year unlike some of those other games. I don't mind sequels to GTA, Metroid, DKC, Zelda, and I do want a new Red Dead, but that is only a fraction of the amount of sequels we are getting. And each of those games do something different with their sequels that they might as well be new IPs. Hell, the last Metroid game was 2007 and the last Zelda console game was 2011. Red Dead was 2009. The problem is when you start looking at the games as a whole, all we are really getting are sequels right now. How is it that we have had 5 main GTA games in the last 16 years, but we are already on the ninth Assassin's Creed game in 9 years? Quote:

It's really hard to respect your opinion because you sound really entitled right now.
"I want more new IPs, but I'm not counting the new IPs to forcefully validate my thoughts! I want fewer sequels, except for the games I want sequels to! All fighting games are button mashers and are the same!" So...I'm just gonna shrug and not get another infraction. |
I think Dr. Kain means that he wants all new IP's while having some sequels like a new Zelda game. I personally want to see sequels to series that have not relevant in a long time. Like a new TimeSplitters 4 or a new Quake game (which is likely given how well the new Doom game is doing). Even a new Legacy of Kain game.

At least people are attempting to create new IPs in gaming. They'll need work in future installments (Evolve, Titanfall, e.t.c.) for each to become their own, sure, but at least they are trying. Quote:
