Does anyone have information on Jungle Hobby shop and whether they provide shipping options to the US right now?
|
Seems like restrictions are getting lifted now. Few days ago I received one of my Japanese orders that were on hold since March and today I got shipping notification for another.
|
Good news! Japan Post shipping has resumed!
Unfortunately, not for the US. These countries have resumed shipping China: EMS, Surface Italy: EMS, Airmail New Zealand: EMS, Airmail Indonesia: Surface |
I'm going to cry if SAL shipments to the US don't re-open soon
|
Not surprised US is excluded with the wave of new cases
Stay safe everyone |
I got this email from Amiami a few days ago

Anybody who is waiting on an amiami order should check their emails, if they haven't already. |
I don't want to say which store, but a Japan-based hobby store I've had an order with for 4 months- I emailed them to cancel because its just been too long and they offered to send my order to me by DHL free of charge. I paid no shipping at all. Very nice of them!

Keep in mind that AmiAmi's' "surface mail" method is super slow, and also (apparently) untrackable. I've had a shipment from them that's been "shipped" for nearly a month now and it's still not here, and the tracking number they gave me doesn't seem to work with the website they recommended. So yeah.

Reviving this thread to share some new info about shipping from Japan.
Postage prices for “Airmail Small Packet” and “SAL Small Packet” for select countries are increasing starting April 1st. This essentially means shipping costs will increase across the board for USA. Also note that some shipping options are still restricted as a result from COVID-19 and have still not been lifted 1 year later. Link to the Zenmarket article, but it applies to basically all shops in Japan: https://zenmarket.jp/en/blog/post/99...ges-2021-april Link to Japan Post rate updates: https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/20.../index_en.html |

I suppose that if it's for the safety of the workers, it's okay. I hope they resolve this issue soon. |
