Yeah, I totally know what you mean -- if you're asked what the most popular Heisei series are you'd instantly say Den-O and W; and if pressed after that you'd be like... Kuuga? Gaim? Faiz? Decade?

And all of those are very popular, but OOO always seems to be the big merch mover at least. ... bit ironic, actually!

OOOs and Double are among the most popular of the neo heisei. I'm sure Build has succeeded them since the poll (which is from 2017, during Build's run), but I imagine there's a better narrative fit for these 3.

It's like Eiji said in the first episode: you can make it in life with just a little bit of money, and some underpants for tomorrow... and then a lot more money to purchase piles upon piles of material goods from your overlords at Bandai. At least I think that's how the quote goes?

You might be surprised on Build. In the west it got almost universal praise, but in Japan it proved pretty controversial. Its SHF line's still going very strong (we're getting Metal Build and Cross-ZBuild), so, who knows, but...

I prioritised my free saved-up money towards Seihou Tajador, so... so yeah, sounds about right!

It's always interesting to see how the unheard fandom reacts to seasons and characters. For instance, in the official character poll held by Saban for PR a few years back, MMPR White actually got the number 1 spot, when it's "common knowledge" that Green is the most popular Ranger. Really makes you think about the aspects of shows and characters that reach specific people.

I wonder if they made a sequel to this game, the riders would be Saber, Fourze and Wizard. You know, take the current airing Rider (or was by the time the game comes out) and add two Phase 2 Heisei Riders going upwards.

If they don't do a team-up between Saber and Blade in any form that's just a wasted opportunity to be honest.

Now watch the next game be a crossover between Fourze, Faiz, and Saber, who will have 6 forms/swords just to keep it going.
