It kinda does feel like a kitschy version of Venom now that you mention it. Heck supposed Rider 2 looks like Alien Mefilas. :lolol
I don't hate it but I understand if people are put off by it.

Honestly, what bugs me most is the blue rider's mouth and how obviously painted-on it looks. Maybe once we learn more about him or just see the suit clearer it'll make sense, but for now it's a really weird aesthetic choice.

Looking at way closer look at the helmet, it looks more like the teeth are more embedded on the mouth piece, like a panel line. Not painted on, I think.

Also, thenks! I adore how his face looks, so I'm looking forward to the rest of him. He looks really fun to play around in the lighting when I get to draw him.

Is it just me or is it that the secondary rider looks like a blue version of Dragon Ball's Piccolo? I mean, just look at the similarities of that weird looking head that looks like Piccolo's cap and the similar-looking pointy ears, it looks very similar to me lol.

Well, if you want to base you're opinion of the entire season on one tiny, out-of-focus picture of the costume, I guess we can't stop you.

But it does feel kinda shallow.

I know right! If I skipped shows based on my first impression of the designs, I would have missed out on an awesome show like Ryusoulger and a decent show like Kyuranger. That's why I give shows a chance, so I can judge them fairly before deciding whether or not to continue watching.

Who cares if it's shallow. It's a fuckin' kids show. I don't make decisions like this based on actual, important situations and criteria.

My time is limited. Do I really want to spend 48-50 episodes looking at something I can't stand to look at?

Shallow would be hating the actor who plays Revice. Or the stunt actor. Or the person that came up with this. But I know art is subjective and it's just not for me.
