Worth pointing out once more that Rinne is officially the co-protagonist of Gotchard rather than a typical heroine and Amelia is the first female Red Ranger to also be a protagonist, an example that Toei are slow to follow. If we take the example of Metal Heroes, the Battle Cop movie stands out for only having a heroine.

While I curse the empty yellow bubble as much as the next guy, I think a male crossdressing Rider who's not a token joke is also a pretty cool and rare thing to have.

On the other hand, at least the lone Reiwa Sentai heroines have been pretty prominent. Magine is the first girl to be half of a Gattai. Kitou is confirmed by Inoue to be the protagonist instead of Tarou. Hymeno is a literal bad*ss queen with a 1-hit KO power and has defeated a pre-nerf Sixth Ranger by herself! Mira is important to the final arc. Sumino.... Well, she used to be.

Do you doubt? It's the biggest selling point of Sentai and a common feature of past Metal Heroes.

We don't yet know exactly what Project Red is (and it will take at least two or three years to figure it out), but I wouldn't throw away the opportunity Red Poitrine to appear. After all, a new franchise is always time for experimentation. Plus, even if we don't get any heroines, the supporting cast and villains will definitely not leave viewers without memorable women.

Welp, as long as we're not getting a red Kikaider, all's well with the world. I mean, by that point, it wouldn't be a hero show, but more of an AI disaster/horror story. :lolol

I know this isn't the point you were making, but this makes me think it could be interesting if Project RED took more influence from genres besides superhero action, like by increasing how scary the monsters are (horror), having more developed love subplots (romance), exploring settings besides the real world (fantasy/scifi), etc. While still having plenty of awesome suit fights, of course!

It seems that they promised to focus on detective stories, because detective shows are popular on Asahi TV.

Wait, the white-colored heroine is a mage? That would be cool, I'd love to see an armored hero fighting while another character provides magical support, like the non-rider alchemists in Gotchard or that teaser for the cancelled SFX Fantasy Rayforce

I can't remember if it was said here or in the other thread, but yeah supposedly the true reason the marketing for Gavan Infinity explicitly uses language like "completely new 'Gavan'" and "nothing like the other space sheriff series" is cuz Gavan Infinity will actually revolve around Elemental Magic:

Gavan is now red cuz he'll utilize Fire, and will allegedly co-lead alongside a MagiMother designed heroine that is apparently Project R.E.D's version of Poitrine and will use Light.

Then characters centered around Water (Blue), Earth (Green), and Darkness (Black) will show up later.

So basically Sentai, Metal Heroes, Live action Magical Girls, and probably many other Toku staples all now rolled up into one big Project RED. (At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the movie/1st episode throws in an ending scene of Gavan and Poitrine(?) nodding at each other before aggressively striking a pose, leaping into the air, and kicking the MotW in the face.
