That was quick!

DAMN! Didn't expect them to reveal any of the others until they confirmed whether or not Usagi sold well.

They even wrote it's over 9000 on the packaging wow... More photos can be seen here: http://shishioh.info/SHF_VEGETA.php |
Urgh...if I could afford to move outside of Toku figuarts right now I'd definitely be getting Vegeta. If I could just get him, Cell and Frieza I'd be happy.

From BlueFin's Facebook... Comes the Power of Water!
http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/...pse441405d.jpg ... Or Zeo could beat me to it. Sure. |
So I just popped open my Figuarts Lelouch.
Not a bad figureā¦the anime Figuarts have really come a long way from Domon Kasshu. My only complaint really comes from the cape. I really don't like how it's only really good for two poses. Personally, I would've much preferred a cape that could wrap over his entire body like the in the opening. I'm also afraid of pulling his head off and taking half the balljoint with it. |

OK, Iron Man looks a LOT better than I expected! Wonder how many years it would take before we could reinact Iron Man 3 with Figuarts... :D |

Super late to the party but man the Iron Man and War Machine figuarts are gorgeous. I don't really care much for the characters but I'd sweep them up in an instant if they go into a sale.

WHAAAAAAAAT. D: Now I'm gonna be SUPER torn between SHFs or the new Black Label series.. :( ---- Also, as was easily predictable, anime-colored Piccolo is gonna be an SDCC exclusive this year. Bluefin posted a blurred picture of him akin to the Rangers, but of course with just him it's super easy to figure out. |

No Star Wars figuarts to drain our wallets. http://tf6.tamashii.jp/archives/29147301.html |

I wish they would just focus on getting the Figuarts they have shown us over the last few years before getting into ANOTHER line.

Bandai would have come up with a lot better teaser than that if they were making Star Wars SHF.

Seriously this whole thing makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Tamashii Nations premiering what would be the biggest news in the history of SH Figuarts with only a small lousy picture of a Yoda silhouette on the blog that they use to promote Tamashii Features? Does that seem the smallest bit likely? They made an entire separate page for their stand promotion, and have had that linked on their front page for months. They put more effort teasing Daft Punk than they supposedly have for these fictitious Star Wars figuarts. Meanwhile, the link on their front page to the blog post where the Yoda picture originated, specifically says Quote:

If only Bandai was this fast in putting out Sentai Teams...

I'm really excited about the Sailor Moon line, I'm glad it's doing so well and moving fast. Here's hoping they got to Tuxedo Mask quickly!
Yeah, I wish Bandai moved faster with some of it's other lines, but they've been doing well with Zyuranger so fast at least. I'm guessing Sailor Moon will end up a lot like DBZ here and do well with frequent releases. I just want more Digimon & Kyoryuger. lol. |
So I picked up over the weekend a bunch of Figuarts, including Cell, Freeza, Saiyan Vegeta, and Ledouche and I have to say, I am a tad disappointed. They don't seem to be made as well as the KR and Sentai ones are, especially the DBZ ones. My only issue with Lelouche is that his legs are too thin for him to stand up properly and he doesn't have as much articulation as others.
For the DBZ guys, I have: Cell's head always popping off with the slightest touch Freeza's right leg popping off with the slightest touch and there is a gap between it and his waist. Vegeta's legs pop off with ease, his tail does not lock in, his head pops off with the slightest touch, and then my Trunks' hands pop off with ease as does Gohan's right lower arms. |
So according to the same person who provided the just-leaked picture of the display at SDCC of the Samurai set...
There's going to be INJUSTICE Figuarts. :O |
Ugh, personally I've seen enough DC stuff. That's like what, the third or fourth company to make DC Injustice figures? There are a lot of other really cool franchises to mine. That said.. Bandai will do them best and I will have Superman.. :/
|
Injustice designs are awful imo, except for the Joker.
|
I'll be blunt, Injustice is horse shit. Plain and simple. A pretty poor game that's just ripping elements from the DCU Online Legends comic and trying to play with alternate heroes/villains again. The designs are downright awful, pretty much all of them are. I don't know that I've even seen one I could honestly say I like. I couldn't be more meh about Injustice figuarts.
|
I disagree because it plays just like Mortal Kombat, and MK is the best fighting game series out there. Plus, the story mode feels like you are playing an episode of JLU.
On the other hand, I really hope the DC FIguarts aren't Injustice ones. When the bluefin guy told me about them at AX I was excited. If they are really Injustice ones, well then, I'm going to go cry. The only one I'll buy then is Flash as he had the best design. Well, Aquaman was pretty bad ass looking too. However, I cannot say I would be too surprised giving the Injustice ones are quite similar to the New 52 designs. |
Sorry but it's because it's Mortal Kombat that it's terrible. Best fighting franchise ever? You've gotta be joking or just haven't played enough other franchises. I'd easily rather play Street Fighter, Marvel Vs Capcom, Soul Calibur, or hell even King of Fighters, or pretty much any other fighter over a Kombat style game.
That's exactly what put me off about Injustice. The simple fact that people who helped create Mortal Kombat games worked on it. It's clear that they wholly stole elements for this game from the DC Universe Online Legends comic as well. It finished up nearly 2 years ago now and their recycling ideas from it. Not to mention that the Injustice costumes are the most non-sensical DC costumes I can imagine. For a universe that supposedly began as your standard fair DCU and evolved into the Injustice-verse those costumes make no sense thematically. They just look terrible. The figures however have to look better than the Injustice shit that Mattels just been shoveling out. Those things are pathetic. I'm betting their D-Arts though based on the teaser image with all the blanked out info on the Bluefin facebook. |
Eurgh, Injustice designs? Well that's killed ANY interest I had in DC Figuarts.
I'd rather take the weird PAK ones over those. |
There are a few InJustice Figuarts I wouldn't mind owning. They made Raven look to manly for my liking but I did enjoy Yellow Lantern Hal Jordan and the Batgirl DLC design. As much of a fanboy as I am of Wonder Woman I never liked her design much either.
Best Fighter though? I'm sorry, No. The controls are simplistic, the graphics are alright, and the story has been done. King of Fighters XIII, Soul Calibur (Any of Them), Marvel VS Capcom, Tekken. Those are great fighters. Injustice is just Mortal Kombat with Mortal Kombat crossed out and DC Universe written in. And I did not enjoy Mortal Kombat. MK is one of those nostalgia series' that is fun to look back on, but can remain in the past. The world has moved on. |
