Bit of a shame that they're starting from the beginning rather than where KITsubs left off (and it's not like I'm planning on rewatching what I have already seen) since it'll take a while to get to unsubbed stuff. But if they can pull it off, that'll be pretty great.

Xig mentioned they're only doing stuff that has japanese captions, so they're probably using them on some level.

I'm biased because I technically work with Kitsubs, but from watching XIG's version of episode 1...
Kitsubs released their version of episode 1 five years ago, and the editing/phrasing is still much better than XIGs. And from what I've heard about XIG's Super-1 subs, there's gonna be tl mistakes here and there (of course, only translators'll understand where the mistakes'll be made, but still).
I know Kitsubs take a while (The editor's streak of shit-luck is legendary at this point), but overall their subs are still much better. XIG might do for a quick fix, but its gonna be a while before they hit anything new so :U

While the hardsubs and TVNs encode tend to ruin the HD quality quite a bit, IT WAS ABOUT FRICKIN' TIME BLADE GOT A REDO. The old files look absolutely horrible.

I might be biased here, since I'm the translation checker for TV-N's blade, but...

I'm pretty sure takenoko already uses the best settings he can to encode them. He encodes them directly from the bluray rip, not from an encoded work raw (which seems to be what most people believe). If anything, blame it on the upscale by Toei.

Does anyone know of a site similar to kissasian? They started implementing anti adblock measures and I refuse to use any site that forces me to have ads displayed.

Do you use Google Chrome? If you do, you can watch videos on kissasian without ads or buffering.

No, I use Firefox. I was debating over using nyaa to download them but it seems kind of suspicious and the download times say over an hour so I wouldn't be able to watch them as easily.

For those of you who are interested, Tv-Nihon has posted the first episode of the Kamen Sentai GoRider. I haven't seen it yet, at the time of this write, but I'm pumped for more Kenzaki and Kiriya.

What are the differences between the expanded and regular versions of the ZX special? And which version is in the One Drive?

The expanded version has about 10-15 minutes of old footage recapping the earlier shows. Not especially vital material.

Question, didn't Century Kings sub the Kamen Rider Black movies in MKV with DVD quality? The only thing I can find on their site are poor quality AVI files. I know I had better versions before my hard drive died, but I can't even get krdl to pull up anymore to check.

No, Century Kings wasn’t that great. The guy who subbed Black RX, Mr. Stone, later went in and put the CK subs on higher quality dvd rips.
