They do it far to often. That's why I think I enjoyed 00 so much, because there was no real Char type character. That I remember. Or G Gundam for that matter.

But look at almost every other series. I'm not counting MSG, Z, Char's Counterattack, in this. Especially recently it's been a problem. SEED and SEED Destiny had one, Wing had one, Unicorn has one, 0083 had one. I'd much rather they spend their time coming with new pilots, and new designs, instead of "Char roxors lol"

Technically speaking Full Frontal, the pilot of the Sinanju, is Char's clone. Genetically and cybernetically engineered to be a replica of Char. A cyber newtype clone of sorts.

You Meh all you want, this gives me the chance to actually own a MG RX-78-2. I'm very excited.

From what I understand they're possibly taking the crazy design elements of Real Grade and blowing them up to Master Grade. Which is a big turn off for me :( Real Grade is far too complex at it's scale. Maybe it'll work better at 1/100 but they're far too fidly at 1/144.

Fiddly as it maybe, the Real Grade RX78 is still an impressive piece of kit for that size though. And the real grades they're doing now are freaking AMAZING….I can tell you right now that Real Grade Strike and Freedom are some of THE best 1/144 scale gundams you can get. Can't recommend those two enough.

But another RX78 is something that doesn't really interest me all that much. The real grade, robot damashi, and megasize are enough for me.

It's funny cause thanks to this thread,I wna go back and rewatch some of my favorite series.Also start from Ep 1 of Unicorn.

I've started marathonging Age myself. Already 8 episodes in and really liking it. Though, as someone who really like SEED and Destiny & OO, this show feels like a step backwards in animation quality. Still very good, just doesn't look as polished.

Well once you get to the second season,its more about war then just the AGE.

dThe 2nd Generation of age is perhaps t he best out of the series, as I stated before: It kinda falls apart by the third generation, and I think they bit off more then they can chew with the whole three generations concept…despite the fact that I think it's still a very interesting concept. I was also pleasently surprised by AGE…for a series that starts off with very kiddy designs, the overall tone is quite serious…not dark and gritty but not light hearted either.

I agree completely.The second was the best by far.The first wasnt bad and the third was meh.And not only was it a decent series,but it gave us the new,really cool design mechanics for the 1/144th scale kits.

Oh definitely The AGE High Grade kits are some of the best straight up 1/144s they've done.

Of course there are misses, like the Zedas R and Farasia from what I'm hearing.

I got the AGE-1 Normal,love it.

I have most of them, but a lot of them I used in customs and kitbashes.

But I think out of the ones I built and messed is probably the Spallow, Legilus, and Dark Hound.

Don't really care for the Legilus.Only Gundam turned bad I cared about is the Physalis.

The RX-78 is the usual guinea pig for any of Bandai's lines, I don't mind it. Read that the new MG 3.0 has "movable armor", and the translations mention that older models had armor that got in the way of posing. If you guys have seen the SuperHCMpro figures from years back, they incorporated movable armor plates, which got out of the way when moving some limbs, as to not obstruct range of motion. Probably the same premise with MG 3.0.

I can totally understand that.Would be nice to see some MG's after the RX-78 that had problems with articulation due to armor.

But that's actually how they made the Gold Frame Amatsu in the manga: they repaired the Gold Frame with salvaged parts from the Blitz after the Gold Frame was destroyed in a battle with the Red.

I think the Manga also explains how the hell Kira wound up in the colonies after the Strike went kablewie.

Oh I knew that. I know that they salvage the right (?) arm of the original Blitz for the Gold Frame in one of it's initial upgrades, giving it access to Mirage Colloid. And now it looks like they've taken the Neblua Blitz backpack and given it to the Gold Frame. I've read all the SEED & Astray side story manga up til Delta Astray so after that I'm in the dark. But as I've said before I'm a huge SEED universe fanboy so I'll get caught up soon.

And you're right. They do explain Kira being rescued and taken to the Plants in one of the Red Frame mangas. Lowe saw the battle and rescued him after, then gave him to Reverend Malchio, to deliver to Lacus.
