I actually think Johnny Test is sorta entertaining…but I usually only watch it when there's nothing else really on or I just need something in the background while I'm doing other stuff.

From what I hear, Johnny Test is pretty cheap to produce. That's probably why it keeps getting renewed.

EDIT: I just watched the first episode of Justice League Unlimited. Not bad. When was this made? It looks like it's early 2000s in terms of the style and whatnot. I like green Arrow, he's cool. I also actually got to see John Stewart, he's cool too, though he doesn't dethrone Hal Jordan for me. I think this'll be something I watch over the summer depending on how many episodes it is.

It ran in 2004-06 for 39 eps. Definitely one of my favourite DC cartoons, just because I got to see Green Arrow, Black Canary, Huntress (my 3 favourites outside Batman) and the Question onscreen. Hell it even had a very very loose version of Power Girl.

Thing I loved most about JLU is that it focused more on the other superheroes.Green Arrow,Zatanna,The Question,etc.And it made for some really good stories.It also made it so that when the major heroes,like Supes and Batman,made a cameo,they felt bigger and more heroic.Like the other heroes were in awe of them.

You'll be in for a treat. Especially when Cadmus and Amanda Waller show up. I recommend watching the first Justice League series especially the 2-parted titled "A Better World" and even a plot thread from the 90s Superman: The Animated Series 2-parter "Legacy".

Unlimited was truly a love letter to all the fans that grew up on DCAU. And it really really gives back to the fans.

Animated was cancelled long before it should've been. Also saddened that this is it for Prime. Seems like the best we can hope for with a transformer series is a four year run.

That being sid I did enjoy the SD goodness of MS Saga for the PS2 :lol

I never got the hype with this show.

Some of the episodes were really cool but I found the action was unimaginative most of the time and I get the whole Nolan thing they were going for but because of kids TV censorship the whole edgy grittiness they tried to add only felt forced and tacky.

I guess if I was still a hormonal teenager I woulda found all the angst in the show rockin' but as an adult all I could think of is why am I watching what basically amounts to a very watered down adaptation of some of my favourite characters and stories. I may as well just go back to my comics.

The reason I liked EMH's so much was even despite the general cheapness of the animation they captured the epic scale of superhero throwdowns in such an epic degree and with such childlike glee it was just so much fun to watch, even with the same limitations as YJ.

After watching the Hulk get punched through mountains the dour YJ was eye roll inducing.

I didn't like the first season of YJ,I actually hated it,but I'm talking about the latest season.There was far less focus on "relationships" and alot more on missions and impending doom.Heck,the whole season revolves around an alien invasion.

Oh and I agree with you on the whole hormonal teenager thing,but it is a show aimed towards teenagers.

All I can say is wow,I never realized they were made by MacFarlane.The second one I actually remember watching.

I gave up on the series after there was a completely unexplained time skip that the show just seemed to forget about followed by constant hiatuses.

That annoyed the crap out of me. Why start airing new episodes if you're just gonna pull re-runs again? Makes zero sense…

But yeah, the sudden time skip was bothersome too. Apparently, the game that's coming out is going to tie both seasons together.

Oh the last season is great.Really focuses on missions and espionage.

They're doing the whole Defiance thing? I hope this new blending of two medium crap thing doesn't become the norm. I'm really not much of a gamer and I'd hate to basically be missing out on half my stories in ten years because they have all these cross media games.

Tie in games like that usually aren't worth the admission price…I'll most likely be watching a walk through or something to know what happened myself.

Defiance is pulling it off pretty well so far,but yeah I hope it doesnt become the norm either.It only works so well with certain things.

Saw a Gundam, and thought "dafuq?"

Just finished my JLU marathon and damn if it isn't some of the best animation and storyline I've seen in years.

This series tied the loose ends for almost every aspect of the DCAU. The aftermath of Superman's rampage under Darkseid, Brainiac's kidnap of Luthor, Joker's return in Batman Beyond Return of the Joker, Terry's genetic origins, the Phantasm....Wow.

The animation in "Divided We Fall" was stunning, combined with the music and overall tone and the Question was the star of the series in my opinion.

God...I don't think we'll ever see another show quite like this ever again.

I'm watching the newest episode of Spongebob, i'm surprised they didn't do this scenario sooner, Mr Krabs in a bank was actually pretty funny.

Its arguably not quite as good but YJ is still an awesome show that deserves more support.

I really wanted to like the show because it had an art style similar to Batman Under the Red Hood. But the long breaks and hiatuses the show had really left me wanting. Also I really wasn't too thrilled about how...young Robin sounded.

My biggest gripe was with Aqualad. Not because he was a bad character.But it was because the rest of the team was so mired with teen bullshit he seemed like the only sane and rational one. It felt...I dunno....artificial. Like they were making all the other characters annoying on purpose to make Aqualad look good. With Wally I could accept it. With the others...Superboy's hulk-out moments especially? Not so much.
