lol Changeman. The Noah/Jake episodes sounds really confused, trying to cram two Gokaiger episodes into one.

I love MMPR, I will always love MMPR. I also love Tensou Sentai Goseiger. But I'd rather they skipped Goseiger, like they did with Go-Busters, and just gave us two full years of Gokaiger. Then maybe a lot of this would've made more sense.

In case no one knows the finale of SMF did air in France today. And it was the biggest joke ever.

-The "new footage" promised for the Legendary Battle was about 1% of the entire episode.

- Robo knight is dead.

- only 3 legendary rangers even have speaking lines.

-officially NO full team morphs for Overdrive, Lightspeed, or Time Force. That means these 3 never got spotlight for the entirety of the season.

- NO final battle with the emperor. We got the Gokai Red & Silver foootage of them fighting him on the ship. Then the damn ship just blows up and he dies. The incredible final fight from the last episode of Gokaiger is not used at all.

So as I said from the beginning, this show is an absolute insult to the term anniversary. It's insulting to the fans who supported it and hoped for it to be better than it was. And it's entirely ignorant of the legacy that preceded it.

That is everything I thought it would be. What about the fight between Goseiger and Brajira? Is that used at all in any episode?

Well that sucks.

And one thing I hate about Power Rangers is whenever they lose their Zords.

Operation Overdrive was a better Anniversary to the franchise than this drek.

It truly was. Once a Ranger is better than anything we've seen here. Say what you want about Disney, but their worst season managed two of the greatest episodes.

Yes. "Vrak is Back" Pt. 1 & 2 use that footage. I don't want to spoil things for those who have intentionally been avoiding the spoilers circulating due to recent France airings of episodes that have yet to debut state-side, but I will add that Brajira is used (with wings) and Robo Knight returns.

reading and watching bits and clips of these episode spoilers seriously makes my head hurt... Like sheesh why Saban. I would've honestly been ok with a more friendly version take on Gokaiger or at least Disney have their take on it considering... Jack Sparrow :p, seriously though... this is a shame.

I wish I could disagree with you, but I'm left with so few points to defend. I'll admit, like many I haven't seen the entirety of these last few episodes, but it seems as though they had a few ideas that were never fleshed-out to the extent they could have been and the overall finish doesn't sound like it's worth an acknowledgement for effort. There are two different things they could do if Saban was willing (but I know he's not): 1. (Make Movie Specials using the Sentai Rangers who have appeared in S.M.) and 2. (Create a sister series alongside Dino Charge that explains much of the P.R. universe and its history and use that to explain some of the inconsistencies/inadequacies of Megaforce/Super Megaforce by incorporating a little more Goseiger and Gokaiger footage).

I really hope.. forget it. They'll find some way to ruin the greatest moment in Goseiger (other then Moune cheerleading)

At least we still have Goseiger and Gokaiger. Sure they're still just kid shows, but at least they had effort going in and Goakiger didn't just pay lip service to a select few past Sentai teams and shafted the rest or did something assanine like throwing France Five in there as a Sentai never before seen or the Orange Eightranger and just the Orange one without rhyme or reason.

Fuck this shit.

Decade is a better anniversary then this shit. At least Decade respected a lot of the source material it made story arcs on and changed the actors and scenarios.

Decade also didn't throw in Zubat and Inazuman in as "Legenedary New Riders."

A lot of that is new footage! (including the Mighty Morphin morph, despite it bizarrely using Sun Vulcan's logo, background and helmet clasping, its new footage, not just MMPR photoshopped over VulEagle) The scenes of them posing is also brand new, not just photoshop magic, so Saban intentionally shot new Pre-Zyu footage.

Also the "new powers" get some new names:

Flashman- Prism Mode
Changeman-Blitz Mode
Maskman- Thunder Mode
Fiveman- Supersonic Mode

Note that Maskman was called "Power Rangers Blitz" back in the Samurai episode, so I have no idea why they're calling Changeman "Blitz" and Maskman "Thunder". Possibly a French dubbing mistake?

The Legendary Battle, the battle that was going to amaze us all, was only 2 minutes.

Well, let's not be so quick to condemn just yet. I'll freely admit, that using Pre-Zyu as "unknown and unseen and unexplained morph modes" is cheap and pitiful, but there may yet be a silver-lining. By stupidly allowing this to happen, Saban may have opened a door to more product. I've long since been considering movie specials (or even a sister series) that could be used to explain this. He has about four teams that he has teased and confused children with, teams with their own individual movie special and Gokaiger appearances. Why not try and get the rights to adapt that into something that freely gives mention to something he and his crew don't have the sense to cut-out or replace? It would give fans more to look at, and pad Saban's bank account with additional toy sales.

Changeman: Two Movie specials and a select few Gokai Changes

Fiveman: Limited Gokai Changing and no movie special.

Out of interest, I timed it. It's 1:50 long, with only 36 seconds of that actually having non-Megaforce Rangers on-screen, almost all of that being Sentai footage. The only non-Megaforce new footage is the very short scene of them charging (which quickly switches to Sentai footage), the scene of the Pink Turbo Ranger kicking and a few seconds of the Red and Blue Samurai Ranger (some of the Red Samurai footage is also Sentai).

For all the hype it got, I really was not expecting it to boil down to a two minutes of the Megaforce Rangers fighting mooks with very quick glimpses of Sentai footage. They cut so many scenes from the Sentai Legend War that featured the past Rangers because of Sentai characters in the background, yet they still left Ryuranger in! I'm going to assume that they only were allowed to use footage from the 2 minute long prologue version from the actual Gokaiger TV Show, rather then the extended version from the Gokaiger movie, but there's still Lightspeed Rescue, Lost Galaxy, In Space, RPM, SPD and Mystic Force footage that didn't have noticeable Sentai-only Rangers (although Ryuranger shows that wasn't that important) that's been cut. I'm also pretty positive that all the footage of non-Megaforce Rangers barring the very small amount of original footage has been seen in prior Megaforce episodes featuring Troy's dream.

You really think Saban is going to make a bunch of movie specials with entirely new footage? Because there's no way he's gonna do it with dated 80s footage.

Not really. Battlizers have always been armoured versions of the main suits that are partly only there to sell toys. These are doing neither.

I know but like I said its lazy keeps with the no explanation theme saban going for.

I miss every season having a Battlizer. They were my favorite part of the series for a long time. Especially SPD's, I loved that. Using Pre-MMPR/Zyuranger suits aren't like that at all. It's lazy editing, lazy writing, and needs to stop.

My biggest fear is that when the final battle happens and all the teams are lined up.. we'll be watching GoRanger through Jetman running up beside teams American Fans actually know. It would've been kinder if they just came to our houses, one by one, and punched us in the stomach. This whole season just.. no.

Dino Charge restored my Hope, Megaforce murdered it in the first place.

What kills me is that technically the Super Mega Mode can qualify as a Battlizer for the Megaforce suits. It's so goddamn frustrating and contrived, this really SHOULD have been a separate season.

Anyway, I was always fond of the Battle Warrior Armor from Time Force. The combination of science from the future with magic from the past was something I found incredibly awesome.

Well with getting Kyoryu Carnival probably sometime in Dino Charge I see that as the Battlizer or them bringing back the Battlizer.

No, I don't expect him to do anything he doesn't want. Saban is a man who walks his own path, period. And for the record, my plan would bank on him using new footage, Gokaiger footage of the teams in question, and digitally-remastered 80's footage (I feel as though the movies are the only thing that could be justified out of the whole deal). And I factored in the noticeable quality and age differences by thinking of a time-travel or flashback plot. And if you want to go a step further, why not a comic deal to broaden their appeal (and their marketing adventures)? This is all wishful thinking regarding something that should have never been allowed, but which may yet be salvageable IF they would give it consideration. The fandom is split on using Pre-Zyu changes, so this would be a plausible excuse/apology on the Saban crew's part for their lapse in judgment. Like I said, wishful thinking.
