Amen. Though that toylines and being a part of that fandom got me to here. I wouldn't be where I am without the numerous buy/sell/trade deals I've had over the years, initially with Transformers. I wouldn't be on staff here had I not begun as Transformer fan at TFW.

Yeah, my interest in transformers as far as toys goes has wained a little. I'm usually not interested unless it's master piece or third party…evidently, I kinda impulse bought my first transformer at retail in a long while:

finally stumbled across Generations Springer…my area kinda sucks as far as distribution goes. Also got Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale an three ACG Set 1 packs…note the price that's on the boosters.

Springer is one of 3 retail TFs I've bought in the last several months, and the only one I'm planning on keeping (gonna return the other two tomorrow, hopefully). It's quite a good toy. Makes me want to get Blitzwing, but I'm not going to bother right now.

I've heard meh things about BLitzing so your probably better off passing or waiting for it go on sale.

Blitzwing is cool if you want to put in the work into fixing him. By default he comes such that the shoulder bits aren't secure. You have to take apart the chest assembly and sand down the insides a considerable amount. It's quite stupid that it doesn't function properly out of the box, but I've done custom work before and I enjoy it, so I didn't mind.

Blitzwing is a great figure. The shoulders are a minor problem that has been blown extremely out of proportion by a very loud portion of the fanbase, partly because he was released with the (almost?) perfect Springer.
He's an excellent triple changer with an awesome face gimmick and he looks great in all modes. The shoulders aren't even noticeable unless you plan on putting him in bizarre poses.

Blitzwing is great. I think another issue why everyone is so down on the figure is that the G1 Blitzwing was almost perfect (minus articulation), so any new version that is less than perfect seems like a downgrade.
Springer, on the other hand... sheesh. Anything is an improvement from his G1 figure and the mass of 2-form repaints that got released with his name attached.

Oddly enough if anyone wanted an MISB Blitzwing I have one to get rid of.

I think the big reason people hate Blitzwing is he's flawed out of the box in that something in the mold got screwed up at the factory, making it so his shoulder and arm joints don't tab in tight.

People have shown though that if you're willing to disassemble and sand down some parts, he'll work fine after that.

Aside from that, the worry for his nose cone being a soft plastic that has to tab in for jet mode.

I'm a bit worried about him, the HurricaneDolphin's tail is extremely tight, tighter then I've ever had a joint on a Sentai figure. It took so much force to put into the position for the arm I was terrified it would break. I think even in Dolphin mode it'll have its tail sticking up from now on so I don't have to relive that experience...

Also, nice pick up on GaoKing! How much did he end up costing? I'm aiming to get him or Abarenoh next, but Gaoking seems like the most valuable of the 2001-2012 era.

And woo! Payment request for HurricaneRed! Now I have him and another 5 Tamashii Stage sets on the way.

Just about any of the boxed mecha sets from Gaoranger are $100+. Gao King, God, & Muscle. Hunter can be gotten pretty cheaply and oddly so can Gao King Black, like $70. Icarus tends to be in the $150 range and so does Gao Knight. $100 is what I paid for Gaoking, but I've been after him forever so he's well worth it. I'm slowly knocking all the Gaoranger mecha out. In fact those are the only DX's aside from Bragigas that I plan to get before the end of the year.

Yeah, that's definitely a fair price, I hope I can get him for that sort of price too.

If you don't have a problem with nationality, you could probably find the Korean GaoIcarus for about $75.

You lose the diecast with the Korean Gaoranger releases though :(

Pre-ordered him online and arrived in3 days after it shipped, also happened during a 25% sale to boot! Although I have to say that I Thundercracker feels much more sturdier, not entirely sure why but Acid Storm felt a little on the cheaper side. But for $55 I can't complain!

That really sucks! Even the US kept diecast for Wild Force.

So I'll definitely stick to JP Gaoking. Right now I'm focussing on the core mecha, while I just get sixth/extra mecha if I really love them or they're cheap, except for Gokaiger and Kyoryuger, where I had to get the whole line.

Actually Ive seen GaoKing go for about 7000+ on JUNGLE, a bit cheaper than mandarakes usual prices, and the last couple days, Ive been seeing some of the individual zords and mecha there.
