Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 6:
http://www.grnrngr.com/mg/titlecards...nightmares.jpg Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Season 1: Episodes 44 - 47 The amount of filler episodes in this season is overwhelming. It's getting to the point where, in my opinion, it is one of the most boring seasons ever. Still, you gotta love the theme song. Another thing I noticed this time around is that after the Doomsday two parter, Ron Wasserman's famous songs like "Fight" and "Combat" began to appear in the episodes. It certainly feels good to hear those songs. On last note: I really, really hate Bulk and Skull now. Although that probably has to do with the fact that I hate bullies in general. Don't be a bully, be a friend! Or an acquaintance. Or Batman. http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/...8971-batma.jpg Alright, let's see what episodes are ne.... http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...een-ranger.png SURPRISE!! Sorry for missing yesterday. I had something to take care of...
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 7: https://31.media.tumblr.com/c8e62b52...wahro1_500.gif Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Season 1: Episode 48 - 50 So, Trini learns the mantis technique, and a certain green guy returns. That's right.... Yoda is returning in Star Wars episode 7. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2.../Yoda_SWSB.png Not. Actually, Tommy Oliver finally returns to the series, and will stay in the series for another 3 1/2 seasons. We also find out why Billy can never use the Dragon Shield. Tommy is still mad at him for stealing his dagger. (I kid, of course) Also.... Bulk and Skull decided to become cockroach masters for some reason..... |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 8:
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Season 1: Episodes 51 and 52 At this point in the season, the only episodes left are, unfortunately, filler episodes. In these first two episodes of the final 10, we see Billy get a B for the first time *insert dramatic music here*, and Bulk and Skull get beat up by some moms. And remember kids: Quote:

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 9
http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...gon_Shield.png Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 1: Episodes 53 - 60 And so, we wrap up MMPR Season 1 with a bunch of filler episodes. At the end of the season we meet the Mutant Rangers (the second group of evil rangers), and Zack uses the Dragon Shield. Other than that..... there isn't much going on. Tune in next week for the arrival of Lord Zedd and MMPR Season 2. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 10:
http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/...cancockpit.jpg Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 1-3 At the start of Season 2, we are still in that "Zyu 2" phase. And now, we get the first American exclusive main villain: the smexy Lord Zedd. Everything about this villain is perfect. He is the type of villain that sounds like a major threat to the Power Rangers. And he has a badass theme song to go with him. The Thunderzords are also pretty sweet as well. As most of you (hopefully) know, these new zords actually come from Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Since the Zyu2 footage uses DaiZyuJin instead of *insert Dairanger Robo name here*, the footage of the Thunder Megazord had to be spliced together with the giant monster fights. The Thunderzords aren't the only thing from Dairanger that we will be getting over the course of the 22 years of Power Rangers (some more controversial than others). *We hear Gia say "Bring on the new powers!" in the background. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon, Day 11:
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 4 and 5 So, we get to see more of Zedd's own monsters, this time it was a monster that could disguise himself as one of the Rangers (because we have't seen THAT before) and an Iguana/ Salamander that could breathe fire.... Lord Zedd made Charmander. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 12:
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 6 and 7 After another filer episode that has Kimberly pink with envy, things start heating up. We are at that point where Tommy begins to realize that he may be losing his powers for good. What's in store for Tommy Oliver? Will he no longer be a.... http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/...8378-PR-th.jpg SURPRISE!!! *Swearing in Russian* |

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 13: Part 1:
http://rangerarchive.com/MMPR2/5%20H...%20Rangers.jpg Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 8 - 13 So.... We finally get to the point where Tommy looses his Green Ranger powers for good. I can't say that I'm sad about this. Through his run as the Green Ranger, Tommy only seemed to show up when the Rangers needed his help. After Zordon re-energized his powers, he still couldn't use them for very long. He couldn't even control the DragonZord after the start of Season 2. Although..... it is funny that he hid inside a bunch of watermelons and got himself eaten by Turbenshell as one last chance to defeat the monster. So long, Green Ranger. We also got a new set of evil rangers, and.... http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...rk_Rangers.jpg *drenches my eyes with holy water* |

Yeah, I didn't much care for those suits. But I liked how he tried fighting fire with fire.

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 13: Part 2:
http://www.morphinlegacy.com/wp-cont...5-d5v9bsg2.png Power Rangers Dino Charge, Season 22: Episode 1 Wow. That was one awesome episode. The acting has really improved, and we finally have another original villain. The only real problem I had with this episode is the not-so-great CGI. I also LOVED the fact that there was zero Sentai footage aside from what was in the opening theme. I am charged up for this season. Just watch. There is going to be someone who hates the fact that zero Sentai footage was used in this episode. |

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 14
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 14 - 18 Well.... I guess Tommy Oliver is hear to stay. Why... WHY couldn't they have just left JDF as Cybertron and had Brad Hawkings be the White Ranger as originally planned.... Welp.... As the White Ranger, Tommy is definitely more useful to the team, as his powers aren't being taken away every five seconds. There is one line that bugs me, though: Quote:

Started my rewatch of RPM and after the first four episodes I gotta say...still as awesome as I remembered it.
The Road to Corinth is just such a great pilot that sets up the conflict and builds a really interesting world to explore. Fade to Black and Rain were great focus episodes for Dillon that gave a great inside in how difficult the process of becoming a ranger is and build up the friendship between him and Ziggy extremely well. Go for the Green was also really great as expected. I like that Ziggy is not just the funny guy but has some real depth to him. Being a person who never really belonged anywhere and always tried to weasel his way through life and making the wrong enemies along the way. Cant wait to continue with the show. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 15
http://www.morphinlegacy.com/wp-cont...5-d5v9bsg2.png Power Rangers Dino Charge, Season 22: Episode 2 This season just keeps getting better. I love how Keeper has done more mentoring in two episodes than Gosei did in two seasons. I also like how we get to see not one but two potential future Rangers in Matt and Kendall. I find Tyler's nickname for the T-Rex zord ("Rexy") kind of cute. Basically to sum this up, I will leave this here: https://scontent-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...27&oe=555641C2 |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 16: Part 1:
http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/...20140909132028 Power Rangers Dino Charge, Season 22: Episodes 3 - 4 After finally assembling the core team, we now start to see more of the Ranger's arsenal. We get Dino Steel mode (which is basically the signature weapons of the Dino Charge Rangers), the Dino Charge Megazord Tri-Stego formation, the Dino Cycles, and the Dino Charge Megazord Stego-Raptor formation. Sledge also returns, along with his minions Poisandra, Wrench, and a new villain named Curio. We also have more character development for the Rangers in four episodes than we did in the entirety of Megaforce/ Super Megaforce. *shots fired* To be continued.... |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 16: Part 2:
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/...20120119012655 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 21 - 32 It is at this point that Austin St. John, Walter Jones, and Thuy Thrang are out of the show. From now on (until Power Rangers Zeo and Forever Red) when ever you see the characters of Jason, Zack, and Trini again, it will be either stock footage, stock footage with bad voice-overs, or entirely different people. It isn't until the two parter "The Power Transfer" that the three Rangers are officially written out of the show, replaced with Rocky, Adam, and Aisha. The episodes between "The Ninja Encounter" and "The Power Transfer", the three new Rangers help Tommy, Billy, and Kimberly battle the Putties, while Jason, Zach, and Trini are.... scuba diving. The three original rangers are then sent off to Switzerland, never to be heard of again (at least not until Power Rangers Zeo). We also get two new zords: Tor the Shuttle Zord, which is used by the Rangers, and the terrifying Serpentera, which is used by Lord Fred. I mean Zedd. http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...silhouette.jpg Seriously, that thing is CREEPY!! We also are introduced to the Power Cannon, which was the team weapon for the Dairangers. This basically replaces the Power Blaster, although at this point, I am unsure if it (the Power Blaster) appears again later. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 17:
http://assets2.ignimgs.com/2013/07/0...0c1f0_610w.jpg Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 2: Episodes 33 - 52 Today, we wrap up the second season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. We see the wedding of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa, the return of the Green Ranger, the last episode with Tor, and what is quite possibly the scariest monster the show has given us so far. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/...20130831041052 Jeez, that thing is creepy What evil awaits our heroes? Find out in the non-canon movie tomorrow. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 18:
http://ap2hyc.com/wp-content/uploads...er-rangers.jpg Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie Yes, this film is no cinematic masterpiece. But, it is still enjoyable, to say the least. Also, it should be noted (even though most of you already know this) that while this movie is separate from the actual continuity (much like the upcoming Lionsgate film), it can easily be assumed that what happened in the show up until this film happened in the film's universe. The Ranger's suits in this movie are fantastic. That said, I can't help but be reminded of the Samurai Rangers' Mega Modes. Let's just compare the two for a moment. http://ap2hyc.com/wp-content/uploads...06/Movie26.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WjWOVGfs-F...E/s1600/37.PNG There a few things that I don't like about the movie (like the obvious male lips on the Yellow Ranger helmet), but there is one thing that I (along with the rest of the fandom) hate: http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...20120115062400 THIS! What the heck is THIS supposed to be?! Because it sure as heck isn't the Ninja Megazord. Some characters that aren't even mentioned in the movie are Ms. Appleby, Mr. Kaplan, the Putties, Finster, Scorpina (even though she only showed up once after Season 1), Squaat, and Baboo (among others). Ernie is only merely referenced, and the Power Weapons are completely absent, replaced with miniature weapons like the Stega Stinger and Pterodactyl Thunder Whip. On Thursday, we will be returning to continuity with MMPR Season 3, since for the next two days, I will be catching up on Ninninja and Kamen Rider Drive, along with starting Ressha Sentai ToQGer. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 19:
http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/...20130127144909 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 3: Episodes 1 - 7 The season starts off with the three parter "A Friend In Need", which set off the infamous Masked Rider spinoff.... Honestly, this three parter would've been better off placed at (or near) the end of Season 2, but that's just my opinion. Moving on. The season continues with the four part "Ninja Quest" saga. This is where we finally see the destruction of the Thunderzords. Except for Tor. Although he was never heard from after Season 2. With their Thunderzords and powers gone, the Rangers go off to get the Ninja powers from Ninjor. They then fight off some Tengas (Tengu Warriors from the movie) and a monster known as Vampirus. We also get a new member of the bad guy group: Rito Revolto, who is Rita's brother. And the Z-Putties are replaced with Tengas. This was a pretty decent start for the last season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. What else lies in store for the Rangers. And why did Zordon's voice randomly change. And was that Titanus in the opening credits?!?! |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 20:
http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/...20140907233627 Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 3: Episodes 8 - 24 Towards the halfway point of the season, lots of events begin occurring. We meet Katherine. We discover the Shogun Zords, which replace the Ninja Zords. We get the Ninja Ultrazord and the return of Titanus. We see Ninjor's capture and the disappearance of the Falconzord. And most of all, we see the departure of Kimberly Hart, who ends up being replaced by Katherine so she can go to the Pan Global Games. The reason for Kimberly's departure is because Amy Jo Johnson, the actress for Kimberly, wanted to pursue other opportunities in acting. This group of episodes (aside from the filler episodes prior to Kim's story arc) are really well done. Season 3 is, as of A Different Shade of Pink, my favorite season of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Note: I'm Dreaming of a White Ranger will be added to a Christmas marathon along with the other Christmas themed episodes of Power Rangers at the end of the year. It will not be reviewed in Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 21:
http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...40&format=webp Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 3: Episodes 25 -27 We have reached the last three filler episodes of MMPR (excluding I'm Dreaming Of A White Ranger) before Master Vile appears. This gives us time to adjust to Katherine being the new Pink Ranger before the final story arc of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. In Rita's Pita, we see that Kat can still hear Rita's thoughts as a side affect of the spell. Unfortunately, (as we will see in a couple episodes) Kat's time as the Pink Ranger is short, but in that short time, Kat more than proves that she is a worthy successor to Kimberly. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...20140321082645 Power Rangers Dino Charge, Season 22: Episode 5 I am loving this season so far. We see how Chase got his energem (which involves saving a kitty :3), and we also see the Kentrospiker, known as the Dino Spike in this season. There is also a new Megazord formation: the Pararaptor formation. |

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 22
http://cdn.powerrangers.com/assets/2...90-490x490.jpg Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Season 3: Episodes 28 - 30; 32 - 33 Note: As mentioned before, I won't be going over the Christmas special of this season until December of this year. It is the beginning of the end of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. We finally see the arrival of Master Vile, the introduction of the Metallic "Armor", the introduction of the Zeo Crystal, and the only use of the Shogun Ultrazord. In the end, however, the Rangers are turned into kids, and their only hope lies in the hands of another team of Rangers: the Aquatian/ Alien Rangers. http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...akurangers.jpg Mighty Morphin' Alien Rangers, Season 3: Episodes 34 - 43 We finally see the arrival of Alien Rangers of Aquitar, and with them a new set of Ranger suits (the Kakuranger suits). While the Aquatian Rangers are fighting off Lord Zedd and Rita's threats, the kid Rangers search through time and space for the five fragments of the Zeo Crystal. In the end, the Rangers succeed and Hydro Hog (a villain from Aquitar) is destroyed. Aisha stays in Africa (the location of her Zeo Crystal in what I can only guess to be sometime in the 80's), and is replaced by Tanya. However, shortly after the arrival of Tanya and the departure of the Alien Rangers..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMBxvVLVoWM |

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger marathon: Day 23:
http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/...20070728231423 Power Rangers Zeo, Season 4: Episodes 1 - 26 In the first half of Power Rangers Zeo, the Rangers face a new threat that is even more powerful (and annoying) than Rita and Zedd: the dreaded Machine Empire. To face this new threat, the Rangers ditch the Mighty Morphin' powers of old and gain brand new powers. Powers derived from the power of ratings and money..... I mean the Zeo Crystal. With these new powers come new Megazords, motorcycles, and weapons. We also see the return of Cestro, the Blue Alien Ranger, and the first appearance of David Trueheart, Tommy's brother. We find out that Kimberly has broken up with Tommy via a letter, and we meet a new girl named Heather who is SUPPOSED to be an adult in the three parter There's No Business Like Snow Business. Ok... Let's get this straight...... Heather is an ADULT snowboarder..... and Tommy is supposed to still be in High School..... and yet Heather is hitting on Tommy..... https://youtube.com/watch?v=63SOjLFw6bM?t=8s start video at 8 seconds Ehem.... Anyway.... After a couple filler episodes that follow the conclusion of the David saga, we get a new arrival.... a golden arrival. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/...20111128020402 |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 24: Part 1
http://nick.mtvnimages.com/nick/vide...xdimension=600 Power Rangers Dino Charge, Season 22: Episode 6 The search for the Gold Energem begins, but before the Rangers can start searching for it, a monster attacks by giving everyone cavities. Riley thinks that Chase doesn't take this monster seriously, but in the end, the two Rangers manage to work together to defeat the monster. Also, Keeper totally needs to play baseball. |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 24: Part 2:
http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/...20111128020402 Power Rangers Zeo, Season 4: Episodes 27 - 28, 30 - 50 Note: As with MMPR Season 3, the Christmas special for Zeo, A Season To Remember, was skipped. It will be reviewed around Christmas 2015. The Gold Ranger has finally appeared. Red herrings for this ranger were Billy, David (Tommy's brother), and even Skull, but ultimately, the Gold Ranger was Trey, a Ranger from another planet. Trey was forced to transfer his powers to Jason Lee Scott. The Rangers also get new zords: the Super Zeo Zords. With the use of these zords, King Mondo is destroyed. He is replaced by one of Zedd and Rita's monsters, Louie Kaboom, who is then destroyed by Mondo's first son, Gasket. Gasket captures Tommy and brainwashes him to make him think that the Machine Empire is good. Tommy is rescued by his teammates. After an odd episode Another Song and Dance, it is revealed that a device that Billy used on himself in the Alien Rangers saga had some side affects, and that he is rapidly aging. To fix this, the Alien Rangers of Aquitar show up and attempt to cure Billy. In the end, Billy is taken to Aquitar where he can undergo treatment to make him young again. The Zeo Rangers and Alien Rangers team up to fight off a combined threat from Lord Zedd and Rita and the Machine Empire. After the team up, Jason finds out that his body is not compatible with the Gold Ranger powers, and Trey returns to reclaim the powers. The Rangers also get a new ally, Auric the Conqueror. Although.... He is rarely seen in this season. Alright.... So, what's next on the list? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51064KKBHYL.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc |
Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon: Day 25
http://38.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0...iuxoo1_500.gif Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie Wow.... This.... This was not a good way to start off a Power Rangers season..... For a Power Rangers movie, this only had a couple scenes with the actual Ranger suits. This just felt like a really long episode. Also, Kimberly and Jason are back. https://33.media.tumblr.com/1c228e92...nr8co1_400.gif |

I took a break from working on Godzilla reviews and just relaxed by watching some more MMPRS1. I skipped a few episodes but I finished the Island of Illusions two parter. First off, I miss the days of a nice 5 parter like Green with Evil. Why don't shows ever put effort into their story telling anymore like that?
It is funny to see American ranger footage because red ranger's chest gets twice the size it is in the Japanese footage. Anyway, I really enjoy the Island of Illusion episodes, especially since Fox never really seemed to rerun that two parter a lot, but I never understood the point of Quagmire. He will show up give them a hint, disappear, only to show up again 45 seconds later. Wouldn't it have just been easier for him to stay with them the entire time? And what was his purpose anyway? He never shows up again after these episodes. |

Damn you Seth MacFarlane and your crappy cartoons. |
I recently re-watched Lost Galaxy thanks to buying the DVD set. It was a fun watch and great to see the show that started it out for me in full again. But while fun, it wasn't that good of a show.
The main issue I have with LG is that everything seems rushed. Story elements just come out feeling rushed or even empty at points, some even coming out of nowhere and just leaves you confused. Even the arsenal comes off as rushed. The transdaggers just appear, the launchers appear without any explanation, the Defender Axe is never even explained, you see my point here. So much of the show just seems rushed almost as if they were fighting against a deadline and just decided "Fuck it." The characters are nice, but aside from Leo aren't really developed. Karone was honestly my least favorite of the bunch, she was a little too bubbly for my taste. However not everything is negative. The American action scenes were really good. And I give the show credit for taking a nature themed Sentai and making it a space show. As a whole, I'd probably give Lost Galaxy a three out of five. It had potential but it just didn't live up to it. |
MagnaDefender is love my favorite ranger/hero in the power ranger franchise... Shame his successor didn't had as much screen time.

Thunderstrike's Legendary Ranger Marathon, Day 26:
https://worldofblackheroes.files.wor...10/09/tj10.jpg Power Rangers Turbo, Season 5: Episodes 1 - 3 This is probably the shortest amount of time I've gone before I watched a Power Rangers season again after seeing it before. I just watched this sucker back in December. In the first three episodes, Divatox decides to attack Earth after what the Rangers did to her fiance. Zordon and Alpha 5 leave and are replaced with... http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/...20070616222223 Oh god.... Not her.... ANYONE but her..... And yes, I'm going to say it. I actually like Justin. *prepares for the hate wave* |
Dino Charge Episode 2-4
This is easily the best quality Power Rangers since RPM. The characters are likeable, the comedy works, and the story is decent, and not just a copy of Kyoryuger. Sledge is a competent villain, or at least as much as Power Rangers can let him be, while the other characters are just funny. ALthough I don't see why they haven't got married yet... Unless they need a Space Priest. Did Rita and Zedd need a Space Priest? I have just one issue: the Blue suit looks off, at some points. Is it just me thinking that? |
