I've kinda fallen behind on this week's episode, but yes, I am. I really love this show.

Edit: just watched episode 9. Did not see that plot twist coming. Honestly, not my favorite episode, though. I kinda missed the dumb, random humor of the last several episodes.

I know I sound like a broken record but come the fuck on!!! This episode just pretty much made Hitomi absolutely pointless. Made everything that has happened between episodes 2-9 pointless. And it also made me hate Gou even more because he is a selfish sack of shit main character. Lastly, am I supposed to feel something for this love triangle between Jin, Gou, and Rin? Because all I see is some tacked crap that feels forced just to say there is a romance going on in the show. I cannot wait for this show to end so I can delete it off my computer and never look back at it again. I'd rather be watching "The Adventures of the Buddyroids" or "Hey Look, Garo S3 Ain't So Bad Anymore" over this.

To be honest, I'm kind of getting out of the show a little. I actually liked it a lot more when it was just weird and full of random shenanigans. Now that we're getting back to the plot I'm not as engaged anymore. I kinda blame Rin - for such an integral character she's practically a cipher. All we really know is that she's pretty, she's nice, and she's a cocktease. I'm failing to see what makes her so incredibly amazing that Gou and Jin are so crazy for her. I just finished downloading 11, though, so maybe that will clarify some things.

Last episode was on air about 13 hours ago.
Everything runs according to plan. :)
The ending seemed to be rushed (yes. they said that themselves in last episode), and incomplete.
It felt like watching Mirai Ninja: Keigumo Kinin Gaiden all over again (full of surprises).

Although I want to see an actual ending of last battle, I think I can wait a little bit longer after reading this.

Hopefully I'll enjoy the last episode, because this show went downhill fast for me when it turned plot heavy. All I've really taken away from it is Rin is kind of a bitch.

The Gou/Jin fight was pretty cool though.

Didn't expect the show will get an overall rating of "good and very good" from 98% of the viewers at Nico Live Marathon on the 29th ~ 31st.
I guess schedule for second season will be released soon.

Just marathoned the last three episodes. I will say this much to start: the Rin episodes (10-12) really drag. The show wants you to get really invested in the love triangle with her, Gou, and Jin, but it never comes together, mostly because Rin is an incredibly dull and undeveloped (un-, not under-). Once she's gone, though, the last episode really does pick up a lot. There's a few plot twists that would work better if the show's mythology was less vague, but the last episode is a lot of fun and we finally get the crazy Amemiya effects extravaganza I've been waiting for since the first episode.

Without spoiling too much, there's a giant robot vs. monster scene at the end and it's great. I love how the robot moves - more like a giant clockwork machine than a dude in a suit (which it isn't, seeing as it's all CGI). There are also some very cool Sentai-style suits for the main heroes which are absolutely gorgeous. It sounds like there are no concrete plans for a second season at this point, but if there is I want to see a lot more of those suits.

Anyway, overall I did like this show. The last major story arc really dragged, but overall it was just a fun little show - it was very silly, very weird, and really badly edited in spots, but I'm glad I watched it and likely will again at some point.

Those are indeed gorgeous. Glad to hear it picks up after Rin's gone, if anything she's been the biggest detriment to this show.

I think part of the problem is that the show doesn't take anything very seriously. Even the final battle has a little bit of joking around, especially in regards to the final boss and his motivations and abilities. But it plays the love triangle so damn straight, like it's the most dramatic and serious thing in the world. It clashes with the tone of everything else and just does not work, especially because Rin is such a bland character.

I think I like those suits a bit better than their default appearances myself.

Even if it does make them feel too sentaiy.

Even Gouraigan put more time into their Sentai designs than Tokkyuger. :p

And the sad part is, these suits were only on the show for less than a minute. :lol

Well, that was a suitably epic finale. Shame we couldn't have had more than that.

My very strong suspicion is that visually, this is Amemiya's attempt to recreate DMT visuals.

I say this because most people experience similar visuals/closed-eye hallucinations when they experience DMT -- and the visuals in Shougeki Gouraigan are SO UNBELIEVABLY SIMILAR to the ones I had the one time I tried it.

I'd think a lot of haters should be excited for a season 2 -- because it keeps Inoue away from Kamen Rider and Sentai for at least another year.

I'm not one of the haters, though. I love Inoue -- even in spite his tendency to drop the ball lately -- and would be excited to see another Sentai or KR series from him, especially after his extended break from the franchises.

Who is behind the scene for turning people on earth into Magi.
Is it possible to brainwash the corrupted people on earth by grandma's way of life, in order to save the other Hikaribito from walking down the path of the Kagebito.
Going to expect more from Inoue to play with this dark fairy tale.

I hope all of the second season will be like the crazy horror/sentai parody episode.
