Nice! I hope you enjoy Jaco since I like it myself. Some fans are mixed on Dragon Ball Minus which is the bonus chapter at the end of Jaco. Also nice SHF Perfect Cell as well. I hope you got it for a good deal since he is like over $100 on the after market these days.

Jaco was great! Would love to see it as an OVA. But wow was Minus terrible. I'll keep the Bardock movie as the true series prequel. And yeah I paid a lot for Cell but considering he goes for like $220 and up generally, $180 seemed fair.

What is wrong with Minus? It makes far more sense than Bardock. Plus, we meet Goku's mother.

I wholly disagree. Minus is just contradictory non-sense to me. I'll gladly take what we already had over a huge retcon like it. But that's beside the point. It felt more like parody than anything.

Either Way I think Jaco could work very well as a 4-8 part OVA series. His appearance in Resurrection of F makes me hopeful it could happen.

Even though seeing baby goku was anime only filler and was used for roshi explanation to make sense back then in the anime. In all farness manga never showed what goku looked like as a baby so stating he was three year old when he landed on earth. From Vegeta make sense. Plus old people use term baby for up to three anyway so minus is more cannon to manga material. Bardock more cannon to anime series due to the filler I mention. Also Jaco had a panel that featured goku in armour so that even more make the to special non cannon due to the Jaco take place before dragon ball events and minus is set before Jaco so I dunno why people think bardock TV special need to be cannon like stated before bardock special only fits in the anime time line any way so yea.

Now he has, so this is the official story. It makes far more sense than Bardock being turned into a clairvoyant by a magic spell.

$180 is a pretty good deal. I do agree that Jaco is awesome. Minus is okay in my opinion. I think Toriyama did Goku's origin way too late. If Minus came out in 1990 before the Bardock TV special happen then maybe fans would have like it better. I get why fans dislike it.

You guys are missing the point entirely. Dragonball Minus feels completely out of place and is also completely unnecessary, considering Toriyama openly stated that he really likes the "Father of Goku" TV-special, to a point where he added Bardock in a panel in his manga after it aired to make him and the story canon.

That's two stikes: Strike one, Minus feels nothing like Dragonball, reading it is like seeing a fan-fiction cartoon strip on the internet. Strike two, Toriyama was obviously very pleased with what the anime team did with their explanation of Goku's origin and the character Bardock, so the whole idea of Minus feels like a quick afterthought just so they can advertise and sell the paperback of Jaco better.

Also, we have a Dragonball topic on this board, we don't need two pages talking about Dragonball Minus in the recent purchases. If anyone wants to continue this discussion let's do it there.

The strategy guide sucks ass. There is no character artwork in it like the other two guides had and the paper feels a whole of a hell lot cheaper. It isn't even glossy.

I picked up a rather cheap 2nd Crystal Skull on Mandarake, so I can display both forms at once, and to fill out the order I grabbed G Den-O, who was only 1500 yen.

Of the hundreds of Figuarts I've purchased on Mandarake, these are the most used feeling. The figures were dusty, and I could tell which hands had been on Skull, by how gray two of them were, compared to the others being black. :lol
And Skull's hat had stuck to the Crystal Skull head and chipped some of the paint.
And yes, in part, I bought a 2nd Skull with a mind towards a future gallery. :)

How are the hips on the Skull Crystal though? Mine have some annoying issue where one (the right, I think) is perpetually stuck down. Something inside there forces it down and it can't be pushed all the way up into the crotch. Makes posing him a pain.

My original Skull has pretty good joints, the ones on this new one are a little looser, but nothing horribly wrong, like yours sounds like it is. :/

to round out this month I finally finished getting all the hello kitty piggy banks with phone charms with this one. collecting a full set from a gashapon machine can be fun and annoying. I have two full sets of all six plus six doubles totaling 18, one being given to my sister. I picked up sweetie drops this past Saturday at a family dollar on a whim. now I have both lyra and bon-bon. got the applichanger in for one third its retail on amazon yesterday along with volume 1 of nurse hitomi's monster infirmary. I liked toqger a lot before, but now that I have one of its toys in hand, I have full blown choo-choo fever for it. got the movie mecha coming in now next week after having ordering it a little bit ago. now with this manga I am getting and following three that have to do with monster girls.

That's one of my favorite odd little manga to read. If you like supernatural characters and school life stories with a little bit of ecchi thrown in, you'll like that one
