Coincidentally in Pagan practices the elements have gender associations. Waters association is.... wait for it.... FEMALE. Sadly Earth of female as well and Air is male.... >__>

Are you Pagan? Can you explain what it is. I've heard it several times and I've always wanted to know what it is. If you want green cb be male and female will be black. In Gokaiger, Ahim was always black when the colors were the same pattern as this, so black as a female can work.

Can designs be made either way with the females being black and blue orhwatever and we decide from there? Sometimes having a visual can help a person make concrete decisions.

I had already made up designs for most of the team in male and female so I imagine it wouldn't be hard give me a few days and I can have it all posted here

Here is a suggestion for the design. Psycho and I wanted the rangers to not have a consistent design throughout. What I mean is we want them to look different, but at the same time look similar, like sixth rangers. Sixth rangers always look different, but you can still tell they belong to the team.

hmm My design was more uniform with some subtle and stand out differences such as the kanji for the elements in gold on their chests (By that I mean most of their chest) the kanji is also presant on their belt buckles and a different shape on each of their foreheads giving each ranger a number designation without pronouncing it...unfortunately thats where the differences ended

We're not going for Japanese elements and Kanji. When Psycho and I thought of elements we meant it in more of supernatural aspect that relates to Mother Earth. No Kanjis or Japanese stuff.

hmm maybe pull a little from nininger's design and have a stripe of something related to that element across the chest

we could add to that and make the sash into a toga.

The toga is over doing it, let's just stick with the sash.

Sashes for guys and those little half skirts for the girls. And by half skirt I mean something hat comes down over only one leg diagonally. Something Yuna's skirt from X-2.

I like the idea, but it definitely has to be shorter.

Yeah, the highest layer would be where the skirt ends.

except take out all of the white part of the outfit, replace it with a sentai-esque suit, and make the skirt of the red part shorter so that it can work for all the colors. and the genders with them.

I'll need to see a drawing of the ranger suit with that toga thing first to give my opinion.

I really like Psycho's idea actually maybe combine the two and give a kyoryuger style one shoulder pad thing

What do you guys think about having the visors be the ranger's color instead of the helmet? That way there can be different styles and details on it and they could be seen easier?

Sounds good to me. But a part of me always wondered just how much of a vision problem that cause the actors, both character and stunt.

yeah lets keep visors black I personally think that looks just a tad better anyway

I like the colored visor. Its something that's not used to often.

yeah but from a design standpoint looking at it while most of the helmet is also that color? it kinda blends in black helps break it up

I think the point was to have the helmet be a different color like in TF/TimeRanger.

Ahhh okay things are clicking into place I'll start work on it tonight when I get home and have at least Red posted by the end of the night maybe blue as well so we get male and female designs up there.

My sentai is a blend between bioman and jetman.

seems to me it's basically kyoryuger with rounder helmets.

I dunno, it just feels like there should be something that should associate the element with the color.
with the way the costume it, it just feels like a basic sentai design.

I like the direction you're going in, but it needs more detail. It needs something that screams fire at you. The sash should be bigger and patterned with fire probably. Good job though! Let's take a break from the design and work on it later. We need to work on the hensh in device and sidearm to incorporate it into the design.

I think maybe the sash should be more like a sash, have a small piece hang off.

Everytime i tried fire designs it didnt look right which is why i had kanji originally but ill re work it a bit and add stuff and work on the female designs..hows the helmet tgats my only worry right now XD
