I doubt it. If that were the case, I would have expected the regular version to have only Ghost's standby for all eyecons. But each of the eyecons seems to activate whatever sound set of the rider it belongs to.

Huh. Apparently not only is that Specter two-pack already released, but they also reissued both the Sengoku and Genesis Drivers. Tempting... very tempting.

Man, it's too bad I've been blowing all my cash on eyeballs and stuff, I'd totally jump on one or both of those Drivers otherwise. Oh well, hopefully this means that the prices in the aftermarket will go down. Too bad most lockseeds will remain stupid expensive.

Speaking of blowing all my cash on eyeballs, just paid for Nobunaga and Beethoven and then paid to ship out my order. It hurt my wallet quite a bit, but after 2 months of just fiddling around with Newton I can't wait to actually get my crap. (And since I had to go for EMS I'm gonna be getting this stuff much faster than usual since I always opt for SAL usually). Woo. Excited.

Well, it's unlikely that it does have different sounds, but in the event that it did, I would kinda expect the jingles to just be reversed. So Specter's Eyecons would use Ghost's jingle (it looks like he's eventually going to use Tut, so...). It'd be...weird. And kinda crappy, but at least the option would be there for the completionists and filthy rich among us. I...guess. It's probably just the regular Driver, though.

Don't worry, we can't blame you. It would be frustrating to know that there is Ghost Driver with different sounds ou there when you've thought that you had the only one. I too hope it doesn't have new sounds.

The two pack is just meant to appeal to the kids that like Specter over Ghost and dont have a Ghost Driver yet.

SG Eyecon Set 6 is gonna have Legend Riders. Bit of a late start, but at least there's something. At this point I'm guessing the Gashapons will have the Neo-Heisei Eyecons (W is confirmed, Gaim and OOO rumored, fitting Wizard and Fourze in wouldn't be hard) while the SG will have phase 1 Heisei.

And there'll probably be more per set, since by my count they should run out of Eyecons to use in set 5...(I've been assuming that there won't be SG or Gashapon Boost or Necrom due to them having electronics, but maybe they will since there are 2 'empty' spots in set 5? That or the Genesis ones). Set 6 is already third quarter, however, so there'll probably be new ones as well.

ANYWAY. The colors on the preview images for the SGs aren't reliable, but at the moment it's looking like 6 could have Hibiki, Decade and Blade? Which I would rather like...

Hi there. I ordered the GC01 Ghost figure and was wondering if anyone here who had it could answer a question for me. I'm planning on making some sort of alteration to the jacket to get the hoodless look. Is the plastic soft enough to warp under heat? I'm thinking of heating it up with a hair dryer and bending it down to get the look I want. That, or cutting it off and fashioning a hood from fabric somehow.

Yeah it's soft rubber it will warp under heat but it's kind of thick. I'm not sure you would be able to bend it down.

I wish the Ghost figures had the horns on the bodies before you put on the jackets. When Specter uses the "Edison Damashii", he has two horns and not one.

That would only mean it would be physically impossible for them to actually wear each other's jackets. You can't make masks with one hole and two holes at the same time. Actually I'm pretty sure just making a mask to put on something with Specter's horns would be difficult enough. And that's not even bringing Necrom into it.

So here's GC05 and half of GC06. You know, I would have really preferred it if GC05 gave each Damashii the weapon in their own color like GC04, because Nobunaga with the teal Hand looks kinda dumb.

GC Beethoven actually looks pretty good.

The Driver is fucking loud. Why don't these things have a way to control the volume? Geez.

Also I took the front off to make hacking easier and now my eyes hurt from all the pretty lights. My fault but still. Ouch.

Doing so reminded me, Pythagoras totally has the Ghost jingle. And this isn't like Specter stole Pythagoras (...probably), it's just his. Really highlights the fact that they could have really done the jingles much better. Oh well. At least with this we know for a fact there is nothing stopping any other random Eyecons from being his.

And... Ikkyu is cyan and his lights orange, Pythagoras gold and his light purple. Makes sense.

Anyway, the Eyecons are pretty rad. Musashi, Robin, Nobunaga and Tut all have a very nice metallic look to them that Newton lacked, and they all look slick as hell. Beethoven and Edison were trying to be all metallic too but really they look too plastic-y to pull it off. They're cool tho. Having all these Eyecons is pretty nice.

I haven't messed around much with the weapons. But they are heavy. And small.

The new Ghost Change figures look nice. Tutankhamen looks nice, but that could me being a big fan of the design.

I watched a video on the Ghost Driver being hacked and I guess those combo eyecons could be Ghost and Specter's final forms. Shinsengumi has Ghost's standby noise and Tenkaitotsu has Specter's stand by noise.

I think Tenkatoitsu is most likely going to be Specter's final form, but I'm guessing Shinsengumi is only gonna be Ghost's mid-season form. I assume that his final is going to use one of the hacked transformations that have lights but no jingle.

Yeah, I can't imagine the final form Eyecon won't have sounds of its own.

It's not the worst gimmick toyline but maybe somewhere down the line we'll get Ghost's coats with Specter's two horns and vice versa. Other that that those pics look super good apart from Tut and even then Tut just looks bland while on the show it looks kinda cool.

I agree, if Boost has its own sounds, why wouldn't the final form eyecon?

My stuff shipped from Hobby Search a few days ago.. but they're kind of slow to actually get it out the door. So that EMS will probably next week.. tch. I should look into adding my stuff to the Bandai site, that's really cool.

I have a question about Billy for those that have gotten the Eyecon. For whatever reason, the top sticker for all four November Eyecons I have are pretty weaksauce. Like the black parts aren't really that black, they look faded. It's not super ideal. Is that also the case with Billy? It kinda looks like it from reviews, but I can't really tell.

I hope they up the quality on these...

That's how most of the Eyecons are. It's caused by a combination of the sparkly render and the camera lens shape layered beneath it, and it's supposed to be that way.

The earlier Eyecons are notably not that way though. Edison and Robin kinda are, but Newton, Ore and Musashi have fairly solid black. The face designs in the actual Eyecons also have the holographic stickers with the lens shape underneath, and they are all pretty clean solid blacks too, unlike the stuff on top.

Pythagoras's numbering is P. And of course Ikkyu's is the first kanji in his name, 一. I guess this gives us a solid idea of what the rules are for the Eyecons that aren't part of the 15, which is good. I had been wondering. Though considering Ikkyu I think it would have made more sense to use the first character in Pythagoras's name in his original Greek language. But whatevs.

Now all that's left is finding out what the Legend Rider numbering will be like...

I hadn't thought about that. Huh. Maybe the number is their logo?
