Senshi sentai combo man.
Themes/motif: martial arts Combo red Combo green Combo blue Combo yellow Combo pink Combo black. |
This might be too dark for children, but what about Sentai mixed with military scifi elements like space marines? I give you Jūkaki Sentai Senshiger! (Heavy Weapon Sentai Warrior-ger)
In the distant future, the Star Alliance, a free and just civilization where humans and various aliens live in harmony, is locked in war with the Dargrim Empire, a conquering army where the strong oppress the weak and any evil is permitted in pursuit of more power. Alliance forces are quickly losing ground against the Monster Troopers created by the Empire's horrifying experiments, until a group of their own scientists develop revolutionary new technology based on heroes from Earth's past. These are the weapons, armor and vehicles of the Senshiger system. What sets Senshigers apart from past Sentai teams is that the rangers aren't unique, there are several of each color, with rangers of the same color being distinguished by different designs of helmets. The story would probably mostly follow one "main" team, but they would often work alongside other teams of Senshigers, and some episodes could focus entirely on other teams. "Command Red! Skirmish Blue! Heavy Yellow! Medic Pink! Recon Green! Jūkaki Sentai Senshiger, move out!" Other colors who aren't present in the main team but would show up in other teams: Pilot Cyan Fortress Orange Covert Violet Hazard Lime One-of-a-kind Senshigers: High Commander Crimson, the main Red after being promoted to lead the entire Senshiger army. Admiral Navy, captain of the Senshi Battlestar, the largest and most powerful Senshi Machine that serves as the Senshiger's central base. Proto Black, the original Senshiger suit, now used as a test bed for new technology, extremely powerful but dangerous to use outside controlled lab conditions. Traitor White, a rogue Senshiger who joined Dargrim, losing his color in the process (has a skull motif) |
Gonna give this a try

Their mecha are the Senshi Machines, futuristic military vehicles that combine to form Senshi Robo robots. Since different teams have different colors, most of their mecha would be interchangeable arms, with only the Red core mech staying constant. The main team: Command Carrier, a VTOL dropship that also act as the team's mobile headquarters and a teleportation beacon to beam down the other Machines. It forms the legs and torso of the Senshi Robo, and its nose gun can also be used as a pistol by any combination with a free hand. Skirmish Fighter, a fighter jet. As an arm of Dai-Senshi, it uses its main gun as a pistol, and can dual-wield with the gun from the Command Carrier. Heavy Gunner, a tank. As an arm, it can use the tank's cannon and turret as a rifle, or convert the rifle into an axe. Medic Saver, an APC-ambulance hybrid. As an arm, its armor unfolds into a shield. Recon Roader, an offroad buggy with a large winch. As an arm, its winch's hook can either be used as a melee weapon or shot out like a grappling hook. Other teams: Pilot Bomber, a flying wing bomber. As an arm, its wings attach to Dai-Senshi's back and allow it to fly. Fortress Driller, a drill tank. As an arm, the drill takes the place of its hand. Covert Striker, a stealth jet. As an arm, its wings drape around it like a cape and emit waves that scramble Dargrim sensors. Hazard Flamer, an armored truck with a cannon that can shoot fire or freezing water. As an arm, it uses its cannon as a flame/ice thrower. One-of-a-kind: Senshi Battlestar, a space battleship that serves as the main headquarters of the entire Senshiger army, is a gigantic Senshi Machine itself. Normally it can't transform, but when Crimson and Navy pilot it together, the main bridge splits off and transforms into the humanoid Commander King, while the rest of the ship transforms into the Admiral Dragon! Proto Robo, a humanoid robot with no alternate form, though it can combine with other Senshi Machines. Traitor Destroyer, White's Command Carrier after being modified by Dargrim scientists. Like its good counterpart, it transforms into the legs and torso of White's personal robot, Burai Robo, and it can also hack into other Senshi Machines and force them to combine with it, taking their pilots prisoner in the process. |

I have a good idea, the characters have all had their roles and stories planned out, the motif has been decided upon and the four primary Rangers (and a few of the others) have been given names.
I just need a name for the thing. |

That's funny, there's many allusions and references to the christian religion through tokustasu and this one would be a great example. |
I'm considering reworking the shows adapted for Power Rangers. Once we got to Ninja Storm the count was slowly reduced to 32 up to RPM. This PR version will be what Dragon Knight did but stay closer to what Japan filmed.
The two focused on will be the ones used for MMPR II and III. Both will be re adapted. |

Started Sailor Rangers which does what Super Mega Force did but had gone the route of Shattered Grid. Now the Sailor Ladies will use their powers to fight the enemies battled by the Rangers before going at it with Draken.
|
That's OK and a cool idea but even though it's not Toei I actually preferred Shugo Chara! to Sailor Moon, it actually had male characters and it was that bit more relatable, Cardcaptors being an honorable mention. PGSM though(live action Sailor Moon) is a brilliant toku, very cool show!
|
In 2003 with Power Rangers Ninja Storm there was a count in episodes that reduced from 40 - 38. Then Mystic Force we were down to 32. At Samurai we were back to 40. The plan is to extend the Jetix era to 40 each. Trying to figure out how to work 40 for the board. Ninja Steel will also get reworked as a ninja series rather than a game show. Also Mega Force.
|
The braveman suits will be a militarized version of GoGo-V and Dekaranger suits.
|
Fridy I'll place my orders for
Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger Vs Keisatsu Sentai Patoranger Then after everything is shipped in I may look to rework these shows to direct adapt them rather than what Power Rangers did. This is to stay true to what Toei created. I will likely overhaul Power Rangers with mainly morphed fights for MMPR II and III with Kim becoming Ninja White. Lightspeed Rescue may be redone as a US version of Go Go 5. Power Rangers will likely have a new name with the relaunch. Mystic Force - RPM reworked as their Toei versions. |
I’ve worked more on the Sentai pitch and come up with some names (and corrected some errors in spelling and grammar)

I hope you guys make more technological sentais sentais with military-themed than mystical ones. Sorry if i say something wrong.
|
Well, I have a technological idea, but it's not military themed, it's more of a comedy.
Kitchinka Sentai Oishiger (Kitchen-Car Sentai Tasty-ger) follows the staff of a food truck, the Cloudy Cafe, in their battle to defend themselves and other small local businesses from the greedy ConCorp, who use robotic Battle Mascots to destroy any competition. After their truck is trashed by a Battle Mascot, they take it to a garage for repairs, and then the garage is attacked by ConCorp drones, which they fight off. Impressed by their bravery, and moved by their dream to make people smile, the mechanic of the garage reveals that he's actually a retired superhero, and agrees to provide them with equipment and training and upgrade their beloved food truck with the ability to transform into a battle robot, Oishi-Oh! (But since it's based on a normal-sized food truck, it's much smaller than most sentai robots.) I'm burning up! Oishi Spice! The passionate waiter, he throws his heart into everything, from serving customers to fighting evil. He's training under Pink to be a chef, but always goes overboard and makes things too spicy. Keeping it cool! Oishi Fresh! The laid-back driver, she takes everything in stride, but despite her calm attitude she does take her duties very seriously. Behind the wheel, she has nerves of steel and if needed she can drive with a wildness that would terrify anyone else. Love is power! Oishi Sweet! The idealistic chef and owner of the Cloudy Cafe, it's her dream to make people smile with her cooking. She fully believes love is a source of power, and will call on it to give her strength in times of crisis. As their war against ConCorp brings more publicity to the Cloudy Cafe, they recruit two more members to help run the food truck, who also join them in battle. They also add a delivery car to their fleet, Thundeliver, which can combine with the Cloudy Cafe food truck to form Lightning Oishi-Oh! I'll shock you! Oishi Sour! The snarky waitress, she acts cute in front of the customers but her true personality is harsh. Still, her heart is in the right place, and she volunteers to be the Cloudy Cafe's social media manager because she genuinely wants to see her new friends succeed in their dream. Unflinching strength! Oishi Bitter! The jaded assistant chef, he's skeptical of his teammates' optimism, but is determined to stick with them anyway for the sake of standing up to ConCorp. He used to work for another restaurant, until it was brutally crushed by a Battle Mascot, and now he's sworn revenge against that mascot. Eventually, a ConCorp attack on the garage forces the old superhero to come out of retirement, and since his old team has gone their separate ways he joins up with the Oishigers. He rides a motorcycle, Road Savor, which becomes a sword and helmet for Lightning Oishi-Oh. Value this experience! Oishi Savor! The veteran mechanic, he's tired of fighting and prefers to stay back as a mentor, but his sense of justice still burns strong and he will join the battle if needed. An old injury limits his strength and stamina, but his skill makes him still the best fighter of the team. Kitchinka Sentai Oishigers! Justice is served! |

Here's a more serious one, I haven't worked out all the details yet.
Arashi Sentai Sorager! (Storm Sentai Sky-ger) In the past, the brilliant scientist Dr. Ozora created a weather control machine, with the intent of using it to protect the environment. But the conspiracy group Typhon planned to steal the weather control machine and use it as a weapon to conquer the world. To keep the machine out of their hands, Dr. Ozora broke his machine into parts and hid them in many different places, before Typhon killed him in what was ruled a tragic lab accident. Now, after learning the truth of Dr. Ozora's death, his son leads a team of heroes in a war against Typhon. To deal with Typhon's cyborg enforcers, the heroes use remains of Dr. Ozora's technology to transform into the weather-powered warriors, Arashi Sentai Sorager! Burn shining bright! Sora Sun! Flow like water! Sora Rain! Call the thunder! Sora Bolt! Fly fast and free! Sora Wind! Darken the sky! Sora Cloud! Hit like a blizzard! Sora Snow! Their mecha are all flying vehicles, and combine into SoraOh. Many of their battles are over the remains of Dr. Ozora's technology, all of which relates to weather or the environment in some way, but they also fight to stop Typhon's other various schemes. |
I wish you could villains had more approach from the japanese ones include their names.
|
Not quite Sentai related, or my own idea, but I was reading a Power Rangers fanfiction earlier that had the idea to make former Rangers the main villains. The story in question isn’t particularly well formatted (it’s basically a script fic with no stage directions) but it thought that idea was cool.

I had an idea. Instead of Typhon, maybe the Sorager villain faction should be called Buraiden, from burai meaning "rogue" and Raiden as the name of a thunder god. And since the yellow ranger is lightning-themed too, maybe he used to be a member of Buraiden before switching sides to the Soragers!

There's no one else with a new sentai in this thread ?

I didn't really flesh out the team, but lately I've been imagining some sentai mechs :lol
Recently one I've been having fun with is a pretty mish mash thing. Each member makes use of a modernized ancient tool and a guardian beast. Red: Guardian tool is an armor, and his beast is a dragon (Think Godzilla/Dragonzord style dragon). The armor's modern form is a giant humanoid mech that combines with the dragon (Humanoid forms a torso piece) to form their main mech. Blue: Guardian tool is an ancient water pump, and his beast is a dolphin. The tool's modern form is that of a handheld water cannon (Similar to Fourze's Fire switch, ironically). When needed, the water cannon can grow giant and combine with the dolphin to form an arm for the mecha, additionally, the dolphin can become a new torso piece. White: Guardian tool is a cart, and her beast is a kabuto beetle. Modern form is a police car. The beetle is able to exist as both a normal sized bug as well as a giant, but it still noticeably smaller than the other mechs. The car and beetle can combine to form an additional arm for the main mech, while the car alone can become a torso for the mecha. It can also form it's own miniature mecha as well (Think the size difference between Kiramager's Sky Mage and Ground Mage). Red solo and Red-Blue-White are the two default "Basic" combos. Green: Guardian tool is a kite, and his beast is an eagle. Modern form is a helicopter. The helicopter can form an arm and torso, like the others. Ninja themed, so the blades come off and becomes a shuriken. The eagle and helicopter can combine to form a medium sized mecha. Yellow: Guardian tool is a carriage, beast is a lion. Modern form is a F1 racer. Can form torso, but no arm mode. The two beasts can combine to form it's own individual robot, same size as original red's, with a portion of the F1's front end transforming into a crossbow for said robot. All 10 pieces can combine into a final form, with yellow's combined mode forming stablizing feet arm, and torso pieces that would allow for green to form a wing pack. Dolphin and Helicopter are the arms, while the police car moves to the back and the beetle forms hand upgrades and a new face plate. I didn't flesh out the rangers because, like I said, I was just mostly thinking of the mechs xD I wish I could draw, because I have what it looks like clear in my head, but describing it would be a jumbled mess :lol |

Could be cool if you guys make mechas based on super robots shows.

The Ninja series from Toei has come in today so I may look to re work Power Rangers Ninja Steel once I watch the remaining 49 chapters.

I didn't mention it, but since the yellow ranger's lion mech forms a robot on par with red's mech, the arm and torso gimmick works with it as well. As for blue, I was kind of thinking that it would show a way for the tools to be both vehicles and actual tools. As a "Mid season" sort of thing, blue would later get a tool that becomes a boat, and a squid that it could combine with, while other characters would receive tools that were handheld (The only other one that had come to mind was green getting a crossbow and a sparrow or other small, fast bird animal) One other thing I was thinking was that them getting their mechs would be spaced out. After all, 4 out of 5 can form their own individual robots, so I think it would be cooler for each of them to be an event :lol |

Currently watching Nin which gave us Power Rangers Ninja Steel. So far I've seen the 1st 4. Green Ranger will be a new Ranger not seen in the series. Now featuring 7 Rangers.
Shelby from Power Rangers Dino Charge will join as the Green Ranger. Cam was Ninja Storm Green last time. Blue Dolphin Wind Ranger Tori will be the team Sensei having become one at the end of Ninja Storm. The game show theme will be exchanged to be more ninja themed like Ninja Storm. |
The vectorrangers work for a similar organization like the time masters from legends of tomorrow and they fight against aliens through space-time like Doctor Who.

Started watching Magi this week to try to work out how to update Mystic Force. This time more Magi plots will likely be included.
New You're Surely The Heroines will be adapted as Sister Heroines which takes place after Fire Heart and before Legendary Catastros. Need to flush out the story plot for this. Also hope to expand on the 10 Terrors as a mini series near the end. |
