I still wish Insomniac had their own original IP franchise for the PS4. PS1 had Spyro, PS2 had Ratchet and Clank and PS3 had Resistance. Naughty Dog seems to have Last of Us to be their PS4 franchise. So it feels odd that Insomniac won't have their own franchise to go alongside Naughty Dog for the PS4 generation.

E3 has rather been ho hum for me this year.

Nothing I'm really super excited for, except for Mass Effect and maybe Insomiac's Spiderman game.

Well Mario party seems to be getting back on track.

But i lost an old friend in the process. Sayonara, Mario the paper.

I'm pissed they're pulling a MM Battle Network and separating the thing into 2 games.

Tekken doesn't have nearly half of the range attacks of Street Fighter, so players can actually get up close to their important that trying to out snipe each other across the map.

Soulcalibur can either be about who's weapon is the longest, or who's better at rolling to the side to get up close and ignore their huge opponent's range.

Vs. Capcom focuses on juggling a fool between team members.

Button mashing is only a problem when you aren't good at the game. I've beaten plenty of people who just tried to button-mash their way past me, as have players better than me. That tactic only works on computer-controlled characters and other casual players.

Does tag need a story when you play it in real life? It's a game, and while a story is great, games are made to be played, and a story isn't required to trump gameplay. Otherwise we just get more Quantic Dream games that are more cinematics with quick-time events to keep you awake and invovled.

The main reason they did that was because when the first game launched in 2013 people complained that there wasn't enough reason to collect all the Yokai because there wasn't a sense of competition, there was only one version so everyone had the same collection. So they split the second game up to remidy that issue.

The biggest complaint about Pokemon is that people are forced to get 2 games in order to get a complete regional Dex :lol

Fighting games do have stories to them. Mortal Kombat is well known for having a more in depth story mode than most fighting games.

Honestly, it's not like getting two versions is such a big deal now that wireless trading's making doing exactly that much easier.

I'm sure Yokai Watch 2's gonna have a similar feature...they'd be crazy not to.

I don't see why they wouldn't have some kind of trading aspect, i mean has multiplayer components.

And those people need to be punched in the face.

That is just pure laziness. If you don't want to collect all the Yokai, THEN DON'T!! You shouldn't need a reason to enjoy a video game.

I'm so glad Spider-Man PS4 will NOT have Activision involved because Activision are NOT GOOD with making New Spider-Man Game! They have MURDERED Call of Duty! Activision might be the worst video game company!

It's just incidental. Spider-Man isn't going to be Insomniac's new franchise because anything they want to do will have to be approved by Marvel beforehand.

Except, y'know, Activision have published LOADS of decent (some excellent) Spider-Man games in the past.

But they become worse! They are milking Call of Duty! I don't even know if Activision is run by crazy monkeys! Have you see Angry Joe Review?! He made Activision as a corrupt, money-scheming video game company! He even have Cobra Commander as the owner as Activision, Caprom or any money-scheming game company!

I couldn't care less about Call of Duty. If people are still lapping it up then why they milk it is pretty self explanatory.

I ironic thing is that Yokai watch only became popular in Japan after they made this change.

Rocksteady proved you can take a licensed property and turn out some of the best games out of it. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are down right amazing.

Remember, Sony used to have full rights to the movies and then made a deal with Marvel, so Marvel Studios has full control over the current Spider-Man movies. I'm betting part of the deal included Sony getting to make their own video game that would be exclusive to them.

When was the last time Activision made a good Spider-Man game? I'd say Ultimate Spider-Man on the PS2 era, and even that wasn't spectacular.

Are you serious? Ugh. I guess Japan just loves throwing money away on buying the same video game twice.

The Spiderman 2 Movie Game is one of those rare instances where a movie lisenced game actually turned out pretty good.

Ultimate was probably the last GREAT one they made, but Shattered Dimensions and Web of Shadows aren't awful games. At least not to the point where Activision are the devil when it comes to Spider-Man games.

I thought those games were medicore thanks to the poor camera controls. The Spider-Man Noir bits were the only things I enjoyed, but even the camera made those a wreck to deal with.

Shattered Dimensions was a pretty good game. I remember a lot of people was like "This is the best Spidey game since Ultimate". I really dig the story and it made feel very nostalgic to hear the older Spider-Man voice actors. I also like the Spider-Man 3 video game on the PS3 and 360. The game was better than the movie itself in my opinion.

I played the RE7 demo a few times and highly enjoyed it.

So I was watching this gameplay demo of Injustice 2 and unfortunately it seems like Black Manta is just part of the environment. He appears at 1:46. We also get a look at the new gear system.

I do not like the gear system at all.
If I ever get a PS4 and Injustice 2, I'd hope that it'd be a system you could disable (Though I doubt random fights online would have it disabled)

According to Maximilian DOOD the movement is faster and less stiff...
