Nothing, yet. It is very possible we'll never see anything of them ever again, yet they've got a better chance of becoming a reality than Utsuno Ikusagami does, that's for sure.
"Who?" Precisely. :p |
If it meant having Orochi as well, why not? Now you're going to make me dig through the stack of vhs tapes and hook up a vcr to watch that movie.
|
Same things goes for the Vajra from Macross Frontier. After that one display at a show they've never been seen or heard of again :(

Anyway, random question. If they made a Kaiju monster from a video game, which line would it be under, D-Arts or MonsterArts? |
Quote:
Here's another question: suppose Tamashii Nations got the Pacific Rim license. Would the monsters be in MonsterArts and the robots be in Super Robot Chogokin? Or would they all be in MonsterArts? You can't know for sure which way they'd go, after all the sentai mechs are in SRC... |
In the case of macross and evangellion, the mecha were robot damashii while the adversaries were proposed monsterarts. I guess they would follow suit for a Pacific Rim license. Then there's the Ultra-act model, put everything under one line. If that were the case, most likely all of the releases would be monsterarts.

The various Angels, especially Sachiel/whatever they call him in Rebuild, have appeared more than once. I bet at least one of them will finally happen in time. Quote:

So much like the Eva Angels, rumor has it some other new prototypes will be on display very soon to gauge fan opinions. This time, it's Alien Vs. Predator figures at SDCC.

Hey folks, I just wanted to let everyone know that some of the Godzilla groups/sites are pushing for a Monsterarts Titanosaurus figure for the next Showa release on Bluefin's Facebook page. We're hoping this has the same effect that fans had with getting the upcoming Biollante release.
Here's what my recent post looks like... With all of the recently awesome announcements/reveals for the S.H. Monsterarts line including Biollante, Kiryu, Battra, Mothra, & Godzilla 2000, I'm still hoping Tamashii has a Titanosaurus in the works, since he placed well in last year's Bluefin poll. I think Titanosaurus will be disappointed if he doesn't get a Monsterarts figure soon & nobody wants to see that... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psb0760c0e.png Like or place a comment on Bluefin's FB if you want to get Titanosaurus made! :D |
Got this in over the weekend and some early thoughts on the set.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps40416dee.jpg -Sculpts and the painted details are ridiculously nice. -The flying Destoroyah is my favorite of the set and arguably the best of the three! -I'm kind of glad the smaller aggregate version is mostly a solid figurine. Parts would be next to impossible to find if they came off. -Most of the parts stay on the two larger figures except for one or two small parts. I already resolved this with some clear nail polish on the ball joints. -I wish the larger aggregate figure was scaled better to Junior. -The flying version needed to come with a stand to display it proper. -Beam effects would be nice too. -With some free Amazon gift cards that I had saved, I'm glad I only paid $8 for this set, because the retail price is probably going to keep some collectors away, otherwise this would have been a good set to troop build for those that wanted multiples of the set. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps82e80166.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps97639aef.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psaa5fbed5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psfce9c6af.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...pse4dd88db.jpg |

Den-O has had one on his Sales list for $60 shipped, for those that are interested. That's a LOT better than paying the $90 I paid for mine via BBTS. It's a nice enough set, just not a $90 "nice enough" set given what it does lack. |

Very nice. They may not be that good toys but NECA's Pacific Rim stuff do fit in nicely with SHMA displays.
|
This thread needs a wake up! For those that haven't imported Kiryu is coming in a few weeks and I'm super stoked! This one and the 2000 concept are among my personal favorites
|
I missed out on AvP preorder on AmiAmi. If anyone can get me one of each I'd be very appreciative of that. I plan on getting them no matter what but I doubt I'll be able to find better prices than AmiAmi.

Not really interested in the AvP Monsterarts, but great for those that want them.
As for Kiryu, he's taken a spot in my top 5 Monsterarts figures! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psf1911605.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps5671fc4c.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps27c5b025.jpg And something to fight my MA '64 Godzilla (on the way), http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psf85ff1aa.jpg And for the fun of it: To fight monsters, we created monsters... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps9b969a8a.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...psc08d3ed9.jpg |

Actually, I only learned about them recently since my interest lies with Figuarts mostly. I am willing to branch out to Monsterarts just for AvP though, because I've been a fan of the franchise for a long time. |

Looks as if we got a sneak peak at the Promo pictures for the Monsterarts Mothra.

What's indicating Mothra is an exclusive?
|
ALl MA are exclusives in Japan.

Exclusive: Effects & Toho Special Super Weapons Set for Godzilla UX-01-92 Garuda & Effects for Mechagodzilla Meltdown Godzilla Little Godzilla Godzilla Junior Destroyah Evolution Set Godzilla (1964) "MosuGoji" And then confirmed upcoming exclusives are Battra and Biollante. I don't think Mothra's status has been confirmed one way or another. Alien and Predator are mass releases as well. |
o_O That's like every release from this year...

I thought Destoroyah was last Nov. Forgot about Kiryu and I did not even know KK came out in Japan.
Anyway, I finally said screw it and ordered Godzilla off Mandarake. I hope he does not come with defective eyes. |

The reason I asked about Mothra is that I could find nothing from that shot, which was taken from the current Akiba showroom display, that said anything about exclusivity. Even checked the Japanese source's blog and found nothing. Unlike Battra, Mothra's placard from her very first appearance at Sakai's table at WonderFest didn't claim she was exclusive, and I don't recall seeing anything next to the physical figure at Tamashii Nation '13 saying one way or the other. By the way, welcome aboard over here, GIGAN05! |
Wait, that is not how that was supposed to come out...
It was supposed to say, "Aren't all MA exclusives in Japan?" not "ALl MA are exclusives in Japan." I didn't even realize it until just now. My bad. |

As for Mothra being a Web exclusive; http://www.amiami.jp/blog/2013/11/tn2013_02/02.jpg Take a look at her display card to see the Web Shop logo. |
Hey wait, is Battra going to come with a figure stand?
Speaking of figure stands, which ones are the best if I wanted to display MechaG flying? |
