As much as I'm loving Zyuohger, this looks so freaking great. I want to know about the characters.

Year of the mutli-tagonists. Watch the next seasons of both series be minimalist and back down to just 2-3 Riders/5-6 Rangers in response.

Ooof, yeah, Kyuurenoh's combinations are incredibly simplistic... Gold and Silver's Mech things look a little more complex at least. I do like the final product though and it's certainly more interesting than stacking 3 cubes.

I seriously love the Kyuranger costumes though. God damn.

The subtle differences are just neat.
For example, Washi Pink has wings, Hebitsukai Silver has reptilian scale patterns on the sides if memory serves me right, etc.

I...really like the look of the suits and the zords for this. The suits all look really unique.

The whole orb gimmick on the zords even looks really cool to me. Shame Bandai of America will probably screw things up when this gets brought to the U.S.

Has anyone been able to pick out unique suit details (helmet aside) for Sasori Orange, Kajiki Yellow, Shishi Red, or (maybe) Chameleon Green? I saw someone earlier suggest that the latter might have a small tail coming off the back, but I haven't been able make it out in the clearer photos.

ChameleonGreen's tail was revealed to be the second "E" in the word "GREEN" in the background.

I haven't been able to find any distinguishing characteristics on Orange, Red, Yellow, or Green either. Maybe that means these are our human characters?

It's protruding outwards a bit, probably to emulate the mouth of a swordfish.

Also, if weird helmet features are in play as distinguishing characteristics, green's chameleon-eye helmet-odangos are noteworthy.

As far as I know, outside of the last 4 episodes of Ohranger, I've never encountered a Sentai with a setup even remotely like that. Color me very intrigued.

Also, this pretty much confirms to me the majority of the action will take place on Earth. :lol

...Well, I know now that this is either going to be REALLY good or REALLY bad, because I don't see anyway to only be mediocre here.

"The bad guys have already won" has the potential to either be an incredibly cool feature, or a millstone for the secondary writers to drown themselves with.

...You know, that would be cool. The last time any two series had a direct connection, it was freaking Denziman and Sun Vulcan.

The Dethgaliens really aren't the invading types though. They're not in it to subjugate, just to cause enough havoc and destruction to entertain Genis. I don't think they would work for this kind of story.

I have to say I am LOVING the look of this. Normally I find Sentai suits to be a bit boring (*cough*Zyuohger*cough*) but these look good. Loving all the detail, especially the small differences for some of the suits. For once I'm very excited for a Sentai show. :D

TenbinGold and OushiBlack are my favorites. So if we could get some nice figuarts of them, that'd be great. You listening, Bandai?

Seeing as toy sales are the entire point of Toei tokusatsu, I wouldn't be at all surprised if these designs aren't geared this way to make them more appealing as figures as opposed to most Sentai, which is more mech-centric.

I second this notion. As we all know, Sentai toy sales are on a downward swing, so Bandai shifting focus away from mechs a bit, toward action figures and role play toys, makes a lot of sense.

I predict that they'll start targeting older collectors again too. I know it seems very unlikely, but I would not be surprised at all if we get a Figuarts line out of these guys.

Good points. I think Kyuuranger would have a good chance at reviving Sentai figuarts. The small differences with each one would help distinguish them more.

I definitely love the design of the suits aswell as the mecha & the other stuff, plus what was the last sentai that had the rangers all get a standard sidearm but had it set to be individualized for each ranger, female rangers included? I also hope they use the Kyursngers ss a way to revive sentai figuarts, I'd literally buy all nine if it happens.

I mean, it'a far from guaranteed, and is actually very unlikely, but if any Sentai was tailor made for the Figuarts treatment, it's Kyuranger. All depends on the Japanese interest level.

Which makes me wonder...

For those of you who keep track of such things, do we know what the Japanese fandom's reaction to Kyuranger news has been so far?

I agree that these suits seem far more suited for Figuarts, but as I said on Twitter: the big problem is these also require more body types and remoulding than any other team they've done before. If they couldn't sell those they're probably less likely to gamble on a team that costs far more to produce.

In short: If these happen everyone has to buy red on release at full price if they want more :lol
