is that a crown (as in, the part of a watch you use to change the position of the clock hands) on the side of his head? the full view is yet to be revealed but i'm liking the design work already

Something seems odd in the way Zi-O stands/posture and body language.

Can't quite place it, but the musculature and posture seems to suggest something else about the person behind the mask.

Though it could be the suit actor chosen too that's throwing me off, or the photo angles.

Still, sounds and looks very promising. Can't wait to see the full reveal. Does seem it's going for a more anniversary approach which is great.

Imagine it being Narutaki, it would be hilarious.
But it seems sensible to have him appear in some way, since its likely there is time travel and kamen rider heistory involved

No cliffjumpers & screwups like Decade too.

One of those images makes the antennae-analogues look a lot like the hands of a clock, with a short and long hand. Quel Chronos from DC Comics. The images of the Riders and their different years makes this series sound a lot like Decade-meets-Den-O. I'm wondering whether the creators are hoping to make the show people wished Decade had been.

Given that the time-travel element of Den-O was largely constrained by the budget and concept, and that Decade was incoherent, I don't quite know how to feel about it.

You could be onto something. I can't quite see them doing a female main Rider, but maybe this Rider is much younger than usual?

Starting to get excited thinking about a new Rider, new SHF's, new Henshin toy-..er..devices. :D

Looking at the drawing, I'm wondering if there might be some truth to the rumored chess element. If I'm reading it correctly, the armor is a split-apart version of the collectible (not unlike Ex-Aids Gamers), and its shape strongly suggests a Rider-themed Chess piece.

It probably the angle but one of his antenna looks smaller, and alongside the hourglass belt, means it's probably clock hands

First of all also with Build they made him do some poses in the early advertising that looked alot more "sassy" then his actual in show behaviour. It's probably the same for Zi-O.

I do notice that his Antenna are kinda angled in a way that looks like Clock Hands at 10 and 2. Which I think would work perfectly.

I also notice a weird writs watch/gadget and a sort of earpiece to the side. I'm half expecting a Kuuga-esque mouth piece to harken back to Kuuga and Agito.

A 2chan leaker who posted hints has said 'letterboard' and 'Deadpool', the kanji for Letterboard can be read as Dial and judging from the binary code like stuff and clock motive, the current theory on Rangerboard is that Zi-O will travel to past shows and is self aware about it like Deadpool

So Den-O meets Deadpool? Could be interesting, could be bad!

Maybe. The suit does seem kind of loose and baggy in spots too. The proportions to how the clothes look to fit seems really off in places. Not as high up as it should be, looser in places it should be more filled out, tighter in spots it should be more loose. But now that you mention it, that hip line has me wondering. The narrowness and etc.

*Shrug* could be all from the angles though.


Any word about a new 'Adult' series to replace Amazons? I wouldn't think Amazon would go so deep into buying those rights for wider distro if they hadn't planned on doing more like that. Don't think it was for the other series either since original content like that seemed to do so well.
Been thinking we might get something to celebrate the anniversary over there too. *Fingers crossed* Here's hoping.

I wouldn't mind a self-aware Rider. Like, what if Kamen Rider is a show in this show's universe? And the main Rider is a Rider fanatic? That'd be funny.

I've always wanted another lighthearted Rider.

I would not mind that. Sentai already has a fanboy who became a hero aka Gokai Silver and unofficially Akiba Red too so about time we get a fan archetype for riders too.

I just hope Foundation X is the antagonist.

If these rumors are true, not unless that's the name of the rental place the Rider's untransformed identity goes to to get VHS tapes or DVDs. Or the name of the shop they buy the collected series videos from.


Foundation X may get pushed back to whatever the 50th anniversary series ends up being. Or it could get worked into this somehow. Like easter eggs found throughout that this Rider investigates after noticing it as an oddity they never realized was there before across all series.

I really like the silhouette, the suit looks sleek and definitely has a clock hand thing going on with the antenna. I might not watch this show live if it is some anniversary show though. At least I only have Decade, Ghost, and Amazons left to watch for Heisei shows, so I might be able to catch up.

The first silhouette we saw of (presumably) the collectible widget was a disc. That could have been intended to obscure the details, but I'm wondering if maybe the collectible is swappable clock faces for the Driver. If there's a "reveal the image of the Rider" gimmick on the belt, and there's an element of Rider-switching (a la Decade) in the show, perhaps different clock faces reveal different Riders when the hourglass is turned.

I'd be puzzled as to whether the (chess piece?) thing that turns into armor fits in, but then again, Ex-Aid had both Gashats as the collectible and Gamers as the things that turn into armor.

Well, if the antennae are 10 and 2 (so 12) I guess people will try to force it on Build being 10 AND 11 (2 numbers because Katsuragi AND Sento were two different Build somehow).

I've already seen people say that 10 is the Crank + round gear light thing, and 11 is the 2 full bottles.

In all seriousness though, number theory stopped after Wizard.

Number theory has always been off by one digit anyway really. W started it at 2 but it was the 11th series and first of the new decade. So if they corrected number theory with Zi-O, it'd be 10-2 or 20.

So in contrast to build's return to W's 11 approach of 1+1, this would be for the 10+2 people. Or if you want to look at number theory for build as 10, then this is 10 again.

Or better yet, separate the two hands of the clock to make 1 and 1. Put em together and you get 11.

If that rumor's true, I kind of hope there is a special or movie of this rider fighting a horror creature like Sadako.
