Dragon Quest VIII is my favorite and getting out my PS2-copy I bought when the game was first released works, but man would it be better if I could have this on PS4, PC - and everyone else could get it wherever they want. This goes for the entire Dragon Quest games actually. They’re available on mobile of all things, why not at least port those to PC? |

EDIT: Ok I found a surpring amount of copies but I'd prefer a secondhand copy as despite greatly enjoying 11S, I'd rather not give my money to Sugiyama, the series composer |
Anyone else getting 403 errors from AmiAmi lately or is it just me??

I still had fun watching it, but the writing in the movie could have been much better. I also didn't like how they handle the characters because they introduced them into the plot by having them be like "Hey, I remember you as a kid" when we never seen them before. The audience has no idea on who they are unless you are a hardcore fan of the series. |

Glad we can agree on the ending though - man that sucked. |

The Sonic movie doing well because for these reasons.
1. Good Internet Buzz 2. It's well advertised 3. Nostalgia brand name 4. It's a family movie 5. No real competition at the moment 6. Sonic has a huge fan base and many Sonic fans went to the movie to show their appreciation that they were actually listened too. |

So the Continuum Turbulence event started today in Frontline, and it's a rerun of the Garden of Sinners collab in FGO.
No rest for the wicked indeed. Quote:

Yeah, I believe most other movies out right now are very different genres? I'm trying to think of other family films in cinemas right now outside from Sonic, and I'm struggling to come up with anything...

Wonder if a Mario film will be made a la Detective Pikachu and Sonic? What other franchises could receive a film like those two?

They're trying to do this for Monster Hunter. Keyword being 'trying' |
Mario actually is getting a movie. ... by the guys who made the minions

Mario being done by Illumination is a red flag to me because I feel like none of their movies are any good in my opinion. However, I could be wrong like I was with Detective Pikachu.

Makes me wonder if y'all willingly forgot about this movie. Or simply didn't know it existed. Because it was BAD.

The 90s Super Mario Movie movie is bad, but I can see why people enjoy it. It was interesting experiment with the source material because you can tell that the movie was trying to cash in on both Tim Burton's Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies at the time.

True.

So I guess it’s safe to say I’m the only one here who actually LOVED the live action Mario movie?
P.S., I always wanted a pair of those high tech jumper boots. |

The original Super Mario Brothers movie is a cinematic masterpiece that is yet to even be paralleled in its glory and success. Its achievements are so outstanding that I daresay modern cinema would simply not exist without it; and we owe much to the incredible work put into it.
|
Interesting fact: before Hugh Jackman landed the role of Wolverine in 2000's X-Men film, the late Bob Hoskins was considered for the role.

Next year will be the end of the contract between Nickelodeon and Saban/Hasbro and they didn't find another network channel for PR yet and probably never will.

Is the Mario film worth watching?

As a kid, I used to hate the movie. As I got older, I started to dislike it less over the years. It's not a good movie, but it does have a bad movie charm to it. The best thing about the movie is the set designs and practical effects. Quote:
