It's just a general thing with model kits, as you can't exactly resale them once they are assembled, unlike other toys.

Minipla in particular have just been hitting far above their weight class. For the longest time, Bandai's top notch engineering and plastics have only been found on Gunpla, but now we've been getting Minipla, Figure-Rise, and 30MM kits which are putting other brands to shame.

With the switch to Shokugan Modelling Project branding, Bandai has already said they plan to reprint/re-engineer older kits (GaoKing was arguably the first) so I think aftermarket prices will get better in the long run. Maybe they'll even stop with the candy pieces and make them easier to acquire stateside!

I wish I wasn't so broke because I have absolutely none of the Gaoranger Miniplas ad I think they look fantastic and aftermarket prices suuuuuck.

Anyway, they look absolutely stunning! Nice that we finally have all the Gao mechs (barring GaoGod but that's a different case).

I wish Bandai would do big scale versions of the other Wildzords, not just the lion. The SMP Red Lion Wildzord looks more show accurate than the one included in the SMP Wild Force Megazord. All that's left is Animus, Soul Bird, Predazord Blue Moon and Black Wild Force Megazord.

I'm honest to god suprised that the Isis Megazord isn't a Premium Bandai limited item similar to the other auxilary Wildzords.

If that's what it's going to cost for big scale Minipa, I have no interest in them. These things are already pushing the boundaries for plastic model kit prices.

Will take a look. If it's too pricey I'll stick to GaoKnight but this is like me and ToQGer; unless I cannot afford it without selling organs I will get it

If you guys ever need to see Premium Bandai prices and release dates there's this good site called Ladyeve that posts them when they go up. Preban also does stock of retail model kit items so we can use that to see the prices here as well

Same! I was here for GaoKing and its a lovely kit. But now I'm ready for the next series! I look forward to these kits more than any Gundam or Kotobukiya kits.

Tbh, these are the main reasons why I want Dairanger and Ohranger. A childhood friend of mine had the DX Ohblocker (or whatever Power Rangers called it) and I was always really jealous.

Gonna grab an Icarus... RIP Elephant because I'm not gonna pay the P-Bandai tax just for that and the giant GaoLion. Which is a small shame since I guess I'll wind up with two kits with Striker legs (which aren't the most posesable) and anything bigger (i.e. GaoAlligator, everything about Grand Liner, etc) really tends to look the best.

Curious what they're gonna do afterwards. I assume after all of these Gaoranger kits, they're gonna go back and do another older series next before moving forward.

Got a Pre-order on Icarus over at HobbyGenki. Between him and Hunter, those are my two favourite Gao Mechs, but might be nice to have a GaoKing as well? Really trying not to fall into the completionist trap, especially since I've made my peace with not getting Muscle.

Late but the shipping/supply chain situation the last year or two really seems to be doing a number, too (as I assume BBTS gets their stuff via container ship). I normally import myself via proxy, but had decided to pre-order GaoKing through BBTS... I had long gotten my GaoMuscle (that released, what, like 3 months later?) before my GaoKing arrived.
