Okay I'm thinking Gotchard could probably go the card route in both TCG & tarot cards!

The riders' Rider Machines will probably be almost similar to the Duel Runners.

The riders' card attributes can probably be....

• Fire - Metal (red)
• Water - Ice (blue)
• Nature - Wind/Air, Earth & Plantlife (green)
• Light - Thunder (yellow)
• Darkness - Poison & Space (violet/purple)
• Aether (white)
• Nether (black)

I must say, the mock-up sketches provided here already make Gotchard look amazing. I initially thought the eyes were "G"s, but still, looks nice, if that is how he looks.

Then again, I'm reminded of the leadup to Saber and how uncannily accurate those predictions went down, but I shall wait and see.

Quick PSA there's a fake Gotchard logo that just started going around [see attached], it is, extremely not real, and i just wanted to get ahead of this before more people see it

i already explained this on twitter but the trademark submission AND approval dates are identical to the name trademark dates, which they really shouldn't be if this was real, if this was applied for and approved on the same dates as the name trademark we would have seen it at the same time

it's clearly a shop of the initial name trademark, all the text is identical, and it doesn't look like previous logo trademarks at all, which have usually just been the logo itself... this also hasn't appeared on the trademark bot even tho the text implies it was approved in MAY, so it's utter nonsense

And for some bonus over-the-top debunking, while it's sort of hard to explain, the logo is also written wrong, some of the characters used in Gotchard are easily confused with other characters that are basically just a different size

While they meant to write ガッチャード (Gotchard)

it's smth people not familiar with kata probably would never notice (so this is likely a shop from a western fan), but this is like a huge mistake, gives me the same vibe as writing "poodle" as "qoobie" :lol

I don?t understand what they were trying to achieve, because the logo is as boring as possible and does not give rise to fantasies. Unless it confirms the leak about the eye-arrows.

yeah... it's not a very inspired fake-leak... feels like it was just made to capitalize on the current arrow eye rumours without much other thought put into it honestly

Yes, it's okay, actually. Some of them may appear after the first quarter, and someone will definitely come out three episodes before the final (hello, Juuga!). In fact, looking back at previous shows, none of the Reiwa series had fewer than 7 riders.

This one firmly looks like ai to me, if you look at the edges in particular details get fuzzy and weird.

The line thickness on the mouth guard is all over the place and makes no sense

Because of his head tilt you'll notice the enteneas would actually be substantially off to one side if this was a real suit not centered... I.e. they're centered to the SHAPE of the head as it is in THIS image, but not centered to the angle of the head at all

The chest plast looks like every rider chest plate i've ever seen generated by dal-e which feels telling, the style of the chest is also very early heisei in a way I don't see them doing now

This also just hits me with that uncanny valley ai feel immediately, so I don't feel this one is real at all

If so, Gotchard will be a noisy rider.

They can try, but I think they need some kind of external boost that will increase sales of kaijins. Perhaps making the villains pseudo-riders, with their own transformation devices (not gimmicks without a belt, but something different from the ones used by the riders) would help.
But I miss spectacular monsters. From all Geats, only the cactus knight was visually remembered.

I agree on pseudo-riders.

Take example of Night Rogue & Blood Stalk.

Have the pseudo-riders use daggers as henshin devices.

After Geats i was ready for a more traditional rider (even though Geats ranks very high among my top 10 rider series), seems we are getting exactly that.

The sketch leaks had a scarf so the white thing is totally a scarf yeah, he's a grasshopper and a train at once, really vibe with the suit

Comparing Gotchard to the previous fake one reminds me of the Sonic meme.

He looks like a reference to other #5 Riders. 2 arrows and X symbol like X Rider. Uses cards and insect motif like Blade. Blue and orange colors and name starting with "Ga" like Gaim.

I love that similar to how ultra is giving us a "post shin ultraman" ultra series, it seems rider is giving us a "post shin kamen rider" rider? I mean a blue steam powered grasshopper rider is definitely giving me ichigo vibes anyways lol

The belt.... uhhhh, I think I hate it?? Curious if there's any more too it than we're seeing but it looks a bit iverdesigned while also being literally nothing lol... wonder if it's designed to be modified by bigger gimmicks later on?

I'm kinda here for the cards though (and totally not just bc it's a barcode system so I'll be able to print my own to save money, that's definitely not the reason :lol )

Looks like Gotchard literally pops/transforms out of a Showa era rider. Perhaps Henshinzero's assumptions about Legacy Rider are not far from the truth. The weapon looks interesting, maybe too toy, but after Geats it's okay. I like this soft blue shade, very beautiful and corresponds to the marine theme. We also have an insect again, just three years after Zero-One.

Also, given the Reiwa trend, what can we expect from the final form? Shin or Ichigo 2016?

I kinda surprised we got a look at the full body this quick, but I do really dig the design.

The armor mostly going down his legs reminds me a lot of Zero One. And the driver looks like it won't be to bulky for fights (although Add-ons may change that).

Oof, not a fan. Looks like Kiramei Silver got his hands on a Sclash Driver or something.

I believe this is the form of Gotchard when he only uses the Hopper1 card. When he combines Hopper1 with Steamliner, we get the form you see with the scarf. This is more of a "growing" form.

The belt looks like it combines two cards and mixes them together, not unlike Build/W but with less obvious separation.

I think the card values have to add up to 10 to make a combo.

So 4 Pirate goes with 6 Madwheel.

Agreed, the first impression is already more visually appealing to me than Zero One Rising Hopper, Saber Brave Dragon, Vice Rex Genome and Geats MagnumBoost. Brave Dragon did grow on me a lot though and Revi Rex Genome is still one of my favorites for the cool pink/blue/purple colors and toothy smile, even though it doesn't really fit the user's personality much.

I also think it's humorous how Rumor Geats' wolf/axe suit was blue and orange and now Gotchard is actually blue and orange.

Well, last time she wrote a train-themed Tokusatsu.... It was problematic. Personally, I would like to see more Inoue (since he did a Sentai recently), a first for Komura, or maybe a return from Muto!

Komura and Muto are always my go to hopes honestly, i'd be overjoyed to see either of them! Here's hoping!

Inoue would certainly be interesting to see on rider again, but I feel like he might want a bit longer of a break before taking on another year-long toku project


Tbh i'm now more convinced than ever that the gummi "leak" is 1000% bogus, it doesn't have a single piece in common which the main suit, or even a simiular silhouette, which you'd expect it to even as a "half" form. You can see the card-back design is totally different from the one we got in the belt image too, so this is fully debunked as fake now imo

Can't lie, I'm overall not a fan of the suit. My general twitter sphere has been saying it looks like a movie Rider and I have to agree. The design is just too disjointed and clunky for my tastes... though I am a fan of certain specific elements like the goggles and sole designs. (And is that a scarf I see?)

That said... CARD SEASON!!! CARD SEASON IN REIWA!!! I've been posting "damn we need to have a card season again" without much hope to it for as long as I've been into Rider. (Which admittedly is only two years, I'm new here.) And now my prayers have come true! Very excited to see this go down.

Agree with the speculation that this is going to be a more classic Rider style season based on the goggles, antennae, scarf etc, not to mention the cards. I really hope it is because I love Showa and Heisei 1 eras, I haven't really been a fan of the direction the franchise is going, and the last time Rider did a Showa throwback (Build) it ruled so hard. Crossing my fingers...!

(Everyone speculating Kobayashi is getting my hopes up... please don't make me dream a futile dream... T_T)

I'm loving everything I see about Gotchard. The suit looks amazing, the belt looks really neat, and the card designs are phenomenal.

I am really curious as to how the form changes are going to be handled. The helmet looks a bit more grasshopper-esque and the chest is definitely more train inspired, so maybe certain parts swap? Either that or two cards have to stay with designated form(s).

Really excited to see "Pilets" and "Madwheel" as a form. Honestly this feels like Build 2.0 and I am ecstatic.

As for the writer, Yasuko Kobayashi would be cool to see (Toqger was amazing, and Amazons was all right). While it's unlikely, it would be cool to see Kazuki Nakashima make a return as a writer or even Keiichi_Hasegawa. Considering how unorthodox a lot of Reiwa Rider series have been, it would be nice to see a Rider a little more traditional.

Just not Junko Komura. She singlehandedly help nosedive Sentai, and literally every series that she has written has major steps down in quality.

Also, while it's not going to be clear for a few months, I hope that Gotchard has a looser/more fun tone like Fourze, or even Drive. Reiwa Rider series have kind of made it a bad habit to start out with a bit of a serious tone, so it would be nice to have a change.

That's fair. Back in Heisei Phase 1, he had at least a full year between new installments and even that seemed like it would be a lot for some writers to handle. However, I recall that Inoue boasted (feels like exaggeration) in a Donbrothers interview that he doesn't suffer writer's block or burnout, due to his spontaneous risk-taking style. But yeah, I think we'd all want him to be properly rested and prepared.

But in general, here you can still remember that before Saber they wanted rumors about the brother and sister of the riders who embodied in Revice. I think I've read that the development of the rider show starts two years before its release, so it's no surprise that some leaks from early concepts for later series are taken as false rumors for the current series.

He doesn't suffer, but his shows suffer :( Because with all the coolness of Inoue, he has a sad tendency to give up towards the final.
