I noticed some AI in the noones world in Gozyuger as well and kin of laughed it off because i figured they are trying to evoke that its a digital landscape, so its not the absolute worst, but it did look really tacky. I think we should try and stay vocal about these things, TOEI are aiming internationally now and they will be paying more attention to the fan forums and things. If they use too much AI content a lot of people are going to be yucked out really fast, and a lot of those people are the type who could/would buy merch. I'm not even wholly against AI, but it needs to look really good and ADD something, not take a paid day of labour away from their workforce AND make the show look worse. |
Iiiinteresting. The English was fluent enough that for a moment I almost thought it was for an English dub! Seems to be very much a modernized take on Ichigo in terms of aesthetics, and I do think it looks cool but I kinda wish it had more of its own visual identity.
I'm definitely seeing the Spider-Verse similarities too but I can't tell if they're intentional or just coincidence. The last few lines in the teaser seem to hint at the rumored dream theme too, I'm curious to see what will come of that... |
Okay, even after seeing the bit about the simulcast I was not prepared for that trailer to be in English. Very nice to see Toei finally following in Tsubaraya's footsteps and curious to see if they do this with whatever next year's Sentai is. Hoping it's a proper translation like Ultraman and not a shitty AI job like Garo.
No idea what the show is actually about, but I'm liking it. Much more streamlined than we're used to seeing; almost looks more like an Ultraman in that regard. Definitely gives me some Zero-One crossed with Faiz and Rider 1's color scheme vibes and that is working for me. |

Well, this is certainly a surprise.
The big news being that this might be simulcast, which means we can now legally watch Kamen Rider just like Ultraman! Here's hoping we get more series released overseas. Zeztz, as is confirmed by the rumors, is certainly an interesting design and a bit of a departure from the norm, something Reiwa Riders seemed to be doing up until Gotchard/Gavv to a degree. I like it so far, though I must agree with others to some extent that he kind of feels like an Ultraman with the streamlined design, but mainly the belt being slung over the shoulder making it kind of resemble a Color Timer, but for Gashapons. A Dream Agent sounds intriguing, but we'll have to wait and see for more information. I'm hoping they can keep the momentum they have with Gavv and this series is worth the simulcast. Looking forward to it! |

But I live in Australia so to the seven seas I go. |
Leave it to Toei to taint the first ever simulcast mainline Kamen Rider series with generative AI bullshit. If it's used in the main show, I sincerely hope it fails. Part of the appeal of tokusatsu is that the effects are crafted by people. Using AI is against everything the genre stands for. But the studio loves cutting corners whenever possible...

Theres been just a stray few AI stills in Gozyuger as well and one of the worst parts IMO is it looks really tacky, they aren't even using good AI, probably because they are using something they feel is legally sound, Japans copyright laws are intense. All in all, just very short sighted. |
I was around for Decade; I'm not going to assume that what was done for a 60-second trailer is necessarily indicative of the final product.

Which Revice form is this?
|
This could be cool in theory. Sadly Toei are utterly incompetent with this sort of thing so get ready for either everything getting region locked, episodes disappearing after 2 days or only a dub or subs being available, not both.
I want to be optimistic for this but after like 11 years of witnessing them failing again and again I can’t see this working out. It’s even more laughable nowadays when they have a perfect template to copy. But hey, not everyone can be cool like Tsuburaya. I’m not a fan of the design either. The suit looks overly detailed yet flat and boring at the same time, and the belt is so terrible, what the hell. |
I just realized the description
"In a world shaped by the dreams we see in our sleep, Zeztz enters people’s dreams as an agent on a mission. Equipped with a cutting-edge Rider belt worn across the chest, Zeztz brings a bold new form to the battle. Stay tuned for more exciting details!" Sounds fire. Kinda reminds me of Inception. Kamen Rider Inception, I like it. |

I don't want to throw accusations or what not around, but that was my first thought, the head/face looks like it was generated rather than designed, but maybe I just need to see it more clearly... |

Aaaaannnnnddddd... My hypothesis in my very 1st post way back in late of March 2025 here is confirmed to be quite correct. KR Zeztz does have a dream-infiltration internal logic similar to Inception (2010)/Paprika (2006)/The Cell (2000).
According to the article here, the transformation trinket is called カプセム/Capsem(?)/Capsum(?). It seems like those capsules contain people's dreams, which could be "dream realms" or even entirely separate parallel universes or multiple, nested "baby" universes in a vast sea of multiverses. Spherical, Gashapon-esque capsules = Separate dream worlds/"dream realms". I see a 95% probability that this series is gonna be as atrociously convoluted as KR (God forbid) Geats. If KR (God forbid) Geats dealt with simulated universes, then KR Zeztz could likely deal with dreams as parallel universes. If what several people have said is true that Yuuya Takahashi is the (main) writer, then it means KR Zeztz is pretty much the v2.0 of KR (God forbid) Geats. KR (God forbid) Geats was already the peak of atrociously convoluted writing, so I think Takahashi is still trying to out-Yuuya himself, haha.:lol There are several possible parallels between them, such as: - DGP's wishes = Zeztz's "dreams realms"/Capsems, - a new world after each DGP's resets = a new world inside each Capsems, - DGP's Goddess of Creation = the ultimate lucid dreamer God who could manipulate all "dream realms" (and even the whole ensemble of multiverse) according to his whim(?). The main protagonist could be similar to the main protagonists in Inception/Paprika/The Cell where he could be someone who possesses some kind of a lucid dreaming ability and has the rare skills to be able to actively navigate through dreams (and very likely even manipulate it), not only his own dreams, but also other people's, while normal people can only be passive spectators/participants at most. You don't need to wait until KR Zeztz. It's not just using generative AI for mundane aspects of visual appearance like background images for promotional photos, but also for the most basic forms of creative writing. I've long suspected that even the scripts for KR (God forbid) Gavv were written by using AI with very little supervision/editing from actual humans. No wonder it's so atrocious, just like AI-generated slop of texts, images, or videos. It's not all doom and gloom, though. At least I'd get to laugh at how pathetically bad it is, haha.:lol |
My theory on the term Capsem (the collectible items for this show) for now is that it's a wordplay on "capsule" and the onyomi for dream (夢) which is pronounced "mu" (ム).
カプセル + ム(夢) = カプセム If this turns out to be correct, maybe the Capsems are some sort of condensed tangible form of the dreams of individuals that Zeztz is trying to rescue, etc. something along those lines. |
Honestly, my first associations came with Black, most likely because of the shot where Zeztz walks to the motorcycle. Also, there is not much red in the suit, but it is very noticeable, so together with the words about the agent, I immediately remembered Goranger. In terms of feeling, the show will be much more dynamic than Gavv. Zeztz is presented as a goal-oriented professional in the teaser, but I wonder what he's like outside of missions? The theme of infiltrating dreams promises a lot of scope for imagination, but to be honest, the images shown in the teaser were very basic and more than secondary. On the other hand, King Ohger was also quite clearly inspired by other media, which didn't stop it from becoming an excellent and unique show. So it's worth waiting for at least a full trailer, or better yet, the first episode.
Also, since everyone is so concerned about the AI issue. For starters, did Toеi confirm that this is AI, and not cheap TV CGI? Because it's not like they've never been confused. Well, and of course, I don't share the joy of the international broadcast, because I don't fall within its borders. But I also admit that the franchise's first international broadcast is a solid reason to return to the basic concept of the rider. Another thing is that for long-time fans of the franchise, these returns were too many. P.S. Considering that Zezz is an agent, that means he works for the some sort organization. Considering the franchise's tendencies, what are the odds that the entire organization, or at least a group within it, will turn out to be villains? |

Is there a full list of the countries where the series is gonna be simulcasted?

Huge letdown. Nothing prevented them from casting it worldwide like Tsuburaya does with Ultraman.

When asked "What would be the smart thing to do?" said switch makes them do the opposite. In this case the question was: "Put it up on YouTube and rake in free add-revenue?" were any human with more than two working brain cells would’ve just said yes, Toei chose to needlessly restrict it to selected markets. I will laugh if that strategy backfires once more and they start copyright-striking their own media again. |

With the official reveal now, trace folks on Reddit and Twitter have noted that the McGuffin item and Riders teased in the most recent Girls Remix sorta fits with the Zeztz aesthetic:

I think I finally understand why the design is such an Ichigo throwback from Zeztz' design to the bike. This is going to not only run into the 55th anniversary but will also be Toei's first big foray for Kamen Rider into the West in terms of simulcasting a main series like Tsuburaya does Ultraman.
That might even be part of why Takahashi is the writer, because two of his shows have been released in the West already. |

Speaking of which, starting July 15th, YouTube will remove monetization from videos with AI-generated images. Then you will be able to see the source code of this teaser and find out whether it was condemned or not. If someone wants, they can even complain to YouTube so that it will definitely be checked.

If this is true, it will be a great harm to content producers, whether they usae AI or not. This trend of AI generation backlash has been going too far, effecting people who don't use AI, and advocating for laws that will harm people who dont use AI. Its important that people understand this, its likely many lawmakers in many countries will try to sneak bad copyright laws into play by labelling them as anti-AI bills. I am not Anti OR Pro AI BTW, it does many GREAT harms, and many reasonable goods. Figuratively, its a gun. its not a simple thing, it needs to be used properly to benefit anyone, and it probably won't be. |

Shame because the suit looks badass. Like a sleeker, more organic Zero One. I just hope the AI shit is relegated to this teaser. |

inb4 they were grabbing stock background assets from a repository somewhere because they were just quick shots for a teaser. Because like, stock photos and the like aren't safe anymore now that Generative AI pictures have flooded and taken over the internet like crazy.
