How did I get through Decade the first time?
I'm fighting starting episode 3... |

I'm up to episode 5 of Blade and I'm still loving it. It's starting slow, but not enough I'm fast forwarding it through episodes to get to the Riders like I did through some of Decade later on. |

That's why I'm trying to watch Decade in a good mood with full intent to like it. It just so happens to piss me off every time. |
to an extent i am liking the show, tendou isnt actually doing as much "trolling" (as you guys call it) as i remember. to an extent i am enjoying myself, im just not saying it. you're doing the same thing and only pointing out the bad
|
No, oh no.
If there was good in Decade I'd be praising it. |

That was a decent scene, but ultimately unnecessary. |
Up to episode 39 of W, when should I go about watching the A-Z movie..how relevant will it be going into the remainder of the series?
|
Cotorus, I think I can explain one problem you have with Kabuto.
And I'll use the anology of Dragonball Z. Remember when Goku would ditch his weighted clothing and increase speed without all that extra weight? Consider the Masked Form of Kabuto his weighted clothing. Also let's look at Rider Form. We can assume any originization capable of creating a Zector, and mastering Clock Up, would know the kind of toll that would have on a body. And would take measures to counteract it. Augmenting Stamina, Strength, and other atributes. Giving Tendou the ability to run across the city while Clock'ed Up so he can match a Worms own augmented abilities. Otherwise Kabuto would get beat down like an unwanted step-child just like the Zect-Troopers. |

sentai: good point, i dont even mind the running that much, i just pointed it out. it's all the jumping and flying that makes me want to scream at the screen

Coturos, I find it funny that even though we both dislike Kabuto, we seem to do so for a lot of different reasons. Few of your points were the genuinely bad parts to me. I can accept the show's rules like masked form is slow, rider form is fast, etc. To me the show's biggest flaw was it's complete lack of substance in any meaning of the word. It was devoid of direction or plot. It just did stuff, never for any convincing or worthwhile reasons, if even reasons were given, and none of the characters were likable. It almost seemed like an intense parody, completely devoid of any entertainment. The fight scenes were boring, the characters were nothing, there wasn't any story to be found. The heroes were pretentious blocks of wood and the villans were mindless animals that existed just to be beat up and were never seen even doing anything besides killing a few people. The ones I saw couldn't even speak. Tendou, God, you know he actually struck me as joke at times, a jab at shows that have "epic" protagonists. He was laughably bland, litteraly believed himself invincible for no reason, had complete and utter bullshit abilities and did that moronic "pointing to heaven" gesture that reminds me of an old lady trying to hail a cab more than dramatically pointing to God.

Also, if the end doesn't pull at your heart in some way, you're an inhuman monster. My eyes were welling up I swear. |

I just saw the OOO movie and man was it cool. I do have some things to say about it.
Positives: Puts everything good about OOO the series and condenses it down into an hour. Seriously, the debate about the role of human desires, character(s) of the week focus, Eiji's relationship to everyone around him, badass rider fights, and Kougami are all here and are balanced relativity well. Heck, even Eiji gets to be Kamen Rider Birth for about 2 minutes. The end fight sequence, and I thought OOO the series had an epic ending but this movie just blew it away. Fighting a giant monster with Gattakiriba and OOO transforming into his 8 forms and Birth creates and epic NINE RIDER BATTLE. Neutrals: Burakawani. He's not used except in one fight sequence and he doesn't seem to do anything that the other OOO forms can't except for the shield thing. I like his scanning charge but I wish more was done with him in this movie. Fourze Cameo. Showing another rider in the current series' movie is already an iffy concept to me since it takes the spotlight away from the current character that we have developed a bond with by making the cameo rider overpowering the enemy the current rider can't defeat. This would have been on my bad list had Fourze and gave a handshake to Eiji. Sending part of the city back in time. Didn't love it or hate it. Negatives Continuity. Now I know this movie can't be pinpoint exactly which episodes it takes place between but I'm pretty sure its after Dr. Maki absorbs the Purple cores and two of the Greeeds "come back". I kinda like the fact that the movie addresses the purple cores in Eiji's body along with the appearance of the Medgabryu but it creates a plot hole. WHY DON'T THE PURPLE CORES COM OUT AND PROTECT EIJI WHEN HE'S GETTING OWNED BY GARA. Seriously, the excuse Ankh gives doesn't coincide with what we've seen in the series. It's a minor flaw but it shouldn't disturb a person who doesn't think about this movie. THE VILLIAN. Gara possessing the little kid's mom looks like a reject Bandora/Rita Repulsa and doesn't do anything except laugh and make it rain cell medals. Yes, I know he made a yummy but the yummy did all the work at the beginning of kicking OOO's ass. Overall, the flaws of this movie are minor nitpicks compared to the great amount of things OOO does. |

I never claimed to know every episode, (like I said in this very thread when I was actually watching it) but to me the show sucked for almost a full quarter of it's run. There was no reason to go on. The point of a TV show is to be entertaining, which what I watched of Kabuto (a substancial amount) was not. I'm not going to watch an entire show if I don't like it. That's not how entertainment works. Why would I waste my time watching something I don't like when I could be trying a new show that actually has me interested. (like Agito so far) I gave Kabuto a more than fair chance, and it still dissapointed in every major regard. And don't tell me "it gets better later" because that is irrelevant when it starts as bland as it does. |

Sentai, you must remember that not every show is for everyone (Unless it's Decade. Which should be for no one). It's why I'm not touching Gobusters. I hear episode 25 and on is great, but I'll be damned if I watch up to that point.

i just remembered something, are you gonna watch the decade movies or 18 episodes of gokaiger matrixbeast?
