If so, sorry. I don't have that yet. |
I don't know why I love Tommy in Dino Thunder so much when I borderline dislike him in everything else.
Maybe it's because in Dino Thunder he's pretty down to earth, while everywhere else everyone just praises Tommy, especially in Neo-Saban seasons. |
I always prefered Jason if I'm honest, sorry. I like both but Jason for some reason appeals to me more, he could have been in it more in the Zordon era too.
|
It could be because, for once, Tommy in Dino Thunder isn't "The greatest hero of every Power Ranger ever". He has an arc, he's forced into a new role as a mentor for the other rangers, he spends half his time either in Amber or invisible. It's something different!

Same thing goes for Dimensions In Danger in Super Ninja Steel. Yeah, he has the fight scene, but that was more to show off the Master Morpher than anything else. And the Falconzord was mainly just fanservice for MMPR S3 fans. None of the characters ever go "Oh man, Tommy is so cool!" or anything like that. Like yeah, don't get me wrong, Tommy does show up in crossovers alot more than any other Ranger, but that's more due to JDF being willing to work for cheap, his popularity, and him being being part of the MMPR team. Where any of the other original Rangers to show up, they'd likely get similar treatment. Heck, Jason showing up for the Beast Morphers crossover came with a huge amount of hyping up. It'd be like complaining that Kamen Rider 1 gets praise whenever he shows up. Quote:

Dude the entire Dimensions in Danger was basically Tommy worshipping episode. And in Super Megaforce the Mega Rangers were excited to see him the most (even though their reaction is pretty meta than anything else).
They praised him in Dino Thunder as well, but at least they make him down to earth and not hog the spotlight as much. If Neo-Saban made Dino Thunder, Tommy would be the main protagonist and the three (even Trent) would be cheerleaders. Even when they had Adak back in Overdrive they didn't worship him as much. |
I really don't see it when it comes to DiD. The Rangers themselves were more enamored with all the Dimensional stuff happening, and every past Ranger who shows up gets acknowledged as being cool in their own right. Does Tommy get more screentime than the other Legacy Rangers? Yeah, but the entire episode was in no way Tommy-Only.
Super Mega Force doesn't treat the team as being any more excited to see Tommy as they do anyone else. Heck, their reaction is actually way bigger when surrounded by literally every other Ranger at the same time(as it should be. That's alot of Rangers). And in terms of screentime, well, Jaden and Casey both got entire episodes of their own. Tommy got 3 scenes. Two of them super short. I'm not saying it's a perfect situation or that Tommy doesn't ever get praised at all, I just more feel it's getting blown out of proportion. Especially when Dino Thunder is just as guilty(and is also an entire season as opposed to one episode). It wouldn't be any different if, say, Jason had returned all those times instead. And considering it's a member of the team that started the franchise off, it should be atleast somewhat expected. |
But DiD really does boil down to every Rangers that is not Tommy/Wes/Gemma/Koda to essentially glorified cameos.
And remembered the Mega Rangers was basically "TOMMY!!!" when he approached them. (jaysus I sure remember a lot aboot Super Megaforce for something that I refuse to acknowledge its existence. It's like a 'traumatic' past that you can't forget lulz) To be fair it does get blown out of proportion, mostly because the franchise as a whole keeps pushing on the 'Tommy is the face of the franchise' lately. This happens in the comic as well. |

I think the beast x morpher has an accellerometer and a sensor

Should in some ninja storm movie adaptation have the 2017 film tone ?

- Some scenes of Rita and her people in Season 1 do NOT originate from Zyuranger and were filmed for the sake of the adaptation. This footage, which doesn't exist in unedited and uncut format insofar as we know, has been referred to as "Zyu1.5"! - Zyu2: The Fandom designation for the latter Season 1 and early Season 2 Monsters which have absolutely nothing to do with Zyuranger or Dairanger, but made and filmed the same way. In Season 2, Dairenoh became the Thunder Megazord and was edited in by taking Daizyujin out of the Zyu2 footage and the actual context of those battles were a source of boisterous debates for years until 2nd Unit Director Jeff Pruitt released some of the unedited and uncut Zyu2 footage a couple of years ago, which also had the effect of dispelling some fan theories! https://www.grnrngr.com/zyu1.5/ https://www.grnrngr.com/zyu2/ |
In dimensions in danger, wes says rangers have been disappearing across dimensions . All of the captured rangers are from the main dimension.

What do people outside the fanbase think of beast morphers when they see a fan watching it ?
|
It's hard to know what people who aren't fans think, other than my mum and my sisters who mostly seem to either not know Mighty Morphin is over or think it's the best! :lol

Basically no different from only acknowledging the original 60s Star Trek show. Shame.
|
I can’t speak for outsiders watching Beast Morphers, but my brother’s reaction to Ninja Steel was “Same as I remember it. Cheesy as f*ck” (please note we grew up on the Disney seasons).

What should the ryusoul changer be called in dino fury?

I can only speak for myself, but at this point, I wouldn't be annoyed, just disappointed. I'm a child of the Disney era, so MMPR nostalgia just doesn't grab me as much as it does others, so to see everything go for that pure MMPR just doesn't catch my interest. Buuut, after so long of everything being MMPR-first, any other series there as an afterthought, it's almost expected. I'd sigh, and continue to wait for anything else. Idk. If Beast Morphers proved anything, it's that the current team is perfectly willing to look elsewhere for inspiration, and honestly, that's some incredibly positive news looking forwards.
|
Yeah, I mean my older sisters(who generally I don't think I could really consider fans tbh!) watched Mighty Morphin when it went out whereas my childhood was likely a mix of the post-Zordon and Disney eras if anything so when even people the same age as me have said Mighty Morphin is their favourite I've just wished they would do their research!

My dino fury hopes : stig eldrid as the mentor and holly shanahan as the technical advisor and the daughter of the mentor.
|
Lost Galaxy is OK for me, I do love the In Space-Time Force era anyway (Wild Force doesn't deserve to be included IMO!) but admittedly I do put In Space and Time Force above Lost Galaxy and Lightspeed Rescue.

Why is odius's mind control device reffered to as sattelite dishes when the mind control device is one sattelite dish?

What does a Power Ranger series need to do to make you like & enjoy it?
I know my preference for the post-Zordon Saban Era (In Space-Wild Force) comes from the creators treating the shows like it's actually about superheroes. The tone was great being a nice midway point of fun & serious, the music score was epic & always felt like you were watching acts of heroism, etc. Not to say I couldn't watch anything after that time-frame but I admit I have a hard time giving later stuff a chance. I feel like so many series just let themselves go through the motions & are content with making a glorified toy commercial. Creators who are willing to make Power Rangers more than that would definitely be appreciated. |
Creativity.
SPD is basically about the crapouts rising to true heroes. Ninja Storm has them fighting a space luchador. Dino Thunder has Kira. Something interesting to keep me watching, and the more creative the series, the most interest it garners from me. |
Be decent.
My standards are very high, I know. |
Be adapted from a Sentai series I liked so I can get good Lightning Collection figures of said Sentai

Also, I like each character having a unique personality. It doesn’t have to be deep, it doesn’t have to be developed, it just has to stand out compared to everyone else. Mostly because I think the best thing ensemble shows do is individuality. Which is why I hate team power-ups, since they look the same for everyone, which diminishes individuality in favour of conformity. |
The PWRRNGR sister site mentioned a new deck-building card game by Renegade. What do we know about that as of now?

In Space is great. Lost Galaxy is enjoyable in spite of what a narrative cluster mess it is. Maybe because its the first time a Power Ranger series felt like it earned its Y7 rating. Lightspeed is fairly mediocre but then becomes amazing in the final four episodes. Time Force is great as long as you don’t think too hard about how badly it botched most of its themes. |
