You pretty much said what I would do. Honestly just leave everything intact. If you the parent and aren't sure about it, search up the movie and judge if you want your kids to watch it or not. I know movie wise, I'd have no problem showing an eight year old an R rated film depending on it's overall content.

Especially when that something comes on at Midnight.

So Madoka Magica Rebellion Story. Did I enjoy it? Hell yes! Was it good? Well... that's hard for me to say. I'm going to post my full thoughts on the movie at a later date but for the time being I'll leave you all with these few points.

1. Rebellion is very weird and might split people in terms of opinions.
2. Don't expect it to pick up where the series left off.
3. This movie is drop dead GORGEOUS!

The ending to Rebellion is the type that can easily split a fandom down the middle.

The biggest thing for me is deciding whether Homura kidnapping Madoka and turning into the devil at the very end was in character for her or not.

See while it was very drastic, I see it as Homura snapping and discovering that doing that would be the only way to ensure that Madoka's life would never be endangered again. It's a happy ending seeing as all the girls are either given a chance at a normal life or a second chance at it in Sayaka's and Nagisa's case, but it's an amazingly dark and twisted one given what it took to get to that point.

Started watching sekirei a fun anime of fighting chicks on season 2 now and also started watching moonphase

That's basically how I saw it as well. My only problem with it is that it kind of destroys Homura's character for me as I took her last words at the end of the series as she will continue to fight until she has earned seeing Madoka once again and being taken into her embrace. All in all, I felt that what Homura did at the end of Rebellion kind of shits on that interpretation of mine. Maybe that's just the shipper in me talking but that's how I took it. :lol

About to finish Needless soon. I need to find another show to watch.

Watched all of Rosario+Vampire already so I guess I watch Solty Rei after I finish Needless.

Okay great, that series does need more love as it's very underrated and not many people know about it... just keep in mind that there isn't that much fan service in it but the action and the story are both great. :D

Speaking of Rosario, anyone else think Moka and Hajime have a lot in common?
Both are monsters accosiated with grim bad pain death that use a supernatural trinket to lock away their true form and its influence on their personalities.

It's just that with Moka it's a rosary and with Hajime it's pretty much Adam locked inside a 2 of Hearts.

Watched both already.

I watched From Up on Poppy Hill. Surprisingly good movie, though occasionally uncomfortable due to some things. Watch it! :D

Steins;Gate: Fuka Ryōiki no DéjÃ* vu.

I'll be brief and mostly spoiler-free, the lingering question I had in my mind while watching this movie was if it was really necesary, after all it was an original story, completey independent from the original visual novel, and for the first half or so I thought it wasn't.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great movie from the start but it didn't really feel like it was needed for the overall story, the original ending was great, and my fears were that either it would end up trying to play it safe, feeling pointless or try to go big and jeopardize the original ending.

But after finishing it, I can say with tears in my eyes and a grin in my face that it was necessary, after all it's the origin of Hououin Kyouma itself.

If you watched Steins;Gate feel confident that this will fit right in, you'll love it, if you haven't... What the heck are you waiting for!?

Take it from someone who doesn't understand Chaos Head: While the intensions are good there will always be people who will have trouble understanding.

Because both CH and SG are weird. Like almost needlessly weird at times. Don't take this as a attack; I just find this anime series to be hard to follow.

Ars Nova seems different enough, and Gaist Crusher looks almost like a futuristic Saint Seiya but with some Toku elements…looking forward to watching both.

I can understand the hard to follow part, time travel can be incredibly complex and hard to follow in any media, personally I love that part of Steins;Gate but I can understand it would keep others at bay.

Never watched Chaos;Head (or Robotics;Notes for that matter) as they ddin't look too appealing to me.

I'd like to strongly encourage everyone here to watch Summer Wars on Toonami tonight, especially if you haven't seen it before. It's easily one of my favorite anime movies.

I've not watched it dubbed yet though...
