I'm convinced that if the Pokemon world was a thing i'd be a girl in it. Seriously the female trainers are the only ones i pick outside of Gen 5 and HGSS where i always pick the male trainers because they look awesome.

I am not a fan of the female characters. Too bland or dumb looking.
Or, in May's case, too alive.

When i was little i wanted to have May as a girlfriend.

When I was younger I wished I could go full on Mola Ram on her and tear out her heart.
In other words, I seriously did not like May :lol

Is it because she replaced Misty? :lol

Nope.
It was because she was infallible.
I don't recall one occasion where she lost. Her rivals fell to her so often it was hard to believe they were ever on her level.

You know the reason why Ash always loses the first time against a Gym leader? Why he always loses at the Pokemon League? It's to show that he still has training to do, room to grow, and opponents to overcome.
May, meanwhile, steamrolled through her contests so handily that the attempts to make her more grounded by having her be nervous didn't make sense.
When Dawn lost, it was believable because it was made clear that she wasn't going to wreck house and demolish her competition from then on. When May lost, it was because she had gotten cocky and over relied on her Skitty's Assist move, and then she never lost again.

I loathed May. And it wasn't for the vapid reason of replacing Misty (Who I also hated).
Remember. I hate for all the right reasons. :p
