Yeah, they really seemed to just say "screw it" and go full on wacko. Should have known with RV scene. The whole blind/shark thing too much for me but the rumble cameos brought me back.

Managed to see Frozen earlier (hooray for my local cinema screening it!) and have to agree with what's been said before - the advertising does not do this film justice.

Could have done without Olaf though. Usually I'm not one to criticise the superfluous comedy character but he wasn't funny or needed at all.

Plus he makes the terrible ad campaign even worse.
"Hey kids! Let's go see a funny comedy movie about a silly snowman and his reindeer buddy!"

"That wasn't at ALL what we were expecting. Where were the pop culture references and all the obvious adult jokes and the clichés like we got in Smurfs 2? This film was actually a GOOD film!"

I thought Olaf was a good addition to the cast, but that's because I found him hilarious and I thought he worked well within the theme of love for the movie.

saw Frozen last night, and it was not what I expected, and I think I reacted to it more emotionally than I should have. It was good, but I kept feeling really depressed for Elsa. :( I wish I had magic ice powers.

I liked Olaf, well, everybody really, and my three girls loved it. Well done, Disney.

I blew off Frozen the other day when my sis, cousins, and gf went to see it... Saying it didn't interest me purely because the trailers for it made it seem too goofy.

Now you all have me reconsidering that decision.

I think it was very well written, the music isn't bad, and the animation is pretty good. especially all the stuff with the ice, it's pretty fantastic.

Just watched Event Horizon after having my interest piked by a imgur gallery of the "hell" flashes a friend linked on Facebook a while back.

I'm disappointed that a proper extended cut of this film doesn't exist any more, because I loved it. It's not a particularly clever film, but I can't say no to graphic space horror.

Already gone into length about my personal feelings of the failings of Frozen, but I loved it overall, put it at number two on the best of the year list.

American Hustle - So yeah... we just got back from seeing this movie and well, it kind of sucked. It sucked that it is easily the best movie of 2013!!! My god this movie was freaking awesome and put The Wolf of Wall Street to shame and did it in two hours instead of three. The cast of the movie was fantastic. Christian Bale was nothing short of pure excellence, but Jennifer Lawrence is easily the best character in the movie. Every bit of dialog she had was brilliant and she easily stole the show. The comment she makes in th movie about being the life of a the party rings true in every scene she is in. Jeremy Renner finally decides to show off that he does know how to act, something I haven't seen since he did "The Hurt Locker." There is another actor that shows up that was great in his little cameo, but I'm not going to ruin it, so you either have to spoil it for yourself or go see it to know who I am talking about. The movie moves at such a swift pace that it is over when it needed to be without dragging on Not to mention the movie actually has a payoff for the character's actions at the end, which was amazingly well done. Danny Elfman does a fine score for the movie as well, and it was surprising that it was him because this movie seems out of his element. Nevertheless, he did a fantastic job as well. In fact, there is nothing bad I can say about this movie outside of the first ten minutes, which started out a little rough. The dialog is witty and fun, the story holds a sense of seriousness over it while being comedic when it needs to be, that there is nothing I have seen at all in 2013 that can compete against it. As amazing as I found "The Hobbit" to be, this movie is just superior in what it wanted to be and achieves it with exuberant finesse. This is definitely a must see, especially because where us do you get to see Batman, Lois Lane, Rocket Raccoon, Hawkeye, and Mystique all working together at one time? :-p Overall, I'm giving this thing an excellent Chuck Norris/10.
