and they're crime drama games. not much else to expect there. |

Is the game even fun or am I just wasting my time here? |

the online is probably my favorite thing. just so much to do. |

I'm expecting DSP levels of fail as I learn the game. |

Still have no idea how there still needs to be installs on the PS4 and Xbox One when read speeds and RAM of the consoles should be much greater then ps3 and 360 to not warrant them.
|
I just too want my damn disks to be read. The insanely long mandatory install times (and limited internal space making it worse) is genuinely incredibly aggravating and it always will be.
Yet so many people are going to download-only, so to them it doesn't matter. And so to Microsoft and Sony, who want that also, it doesn't matter either. Just make the experience the same regardless of source of the game and promote the downloading nature. |
As I predicted I can't even get past the first mission of GTA 5. No matter which car I pick I always lost due to the other driver somehow being faster than me.
I'm tempted to just delete the save data and perhaps try GG Xrd or LB 3 again because I am NOT having fun with this game. SanoBaron was right with that laughing pic; GTA is not the series for me. |

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Progressed a lot since the last time I posted so here we go..... Exploring Beast's castle was cool. But that lamp boss was kind of annoying. And the spell hasn't been lifted yet. But that fucking closet man...... And I hated that lamp minigame as well, it was just tedious and annoying That's another thing, since when the hell did Nomura have time to add so many minigames to pad this game out? I understood it for Hundred Acre wood in the first game since it was very different and also out of the way, but jeez, it's getting to a point. Speaking of Hundred Acre Wood, I gotta do this shit again? UGH! I don't think I even finished it in the first game because I got bored with it. Poor Pooh and Friends..... Hercules world was fine. The game did something different by destroying the coliseum and doing all the Underworld stuff. Plus, I got to meet a new final Fantasy character! The Timeless River world was really cool yet really tedious at the same time. It was cool to see the explanation for why it exists and how different all the characters look. But the annoying minigames being apart of the Pete boss fight got on my nerves quick. Also, is this how Xehanort was able to go back in time and get previous versions of himself in DDD? I also unlocked Wisdom form and it is really fun to use and feels really different. While Valor form is just the craziness of Kingdom Heart's combos pumped up to 12, I like Wisdom because it gives you some space and gives you a boost in magic, giving you some variety of options in the form rather then satisfyingly pounding the shit out of the X button. The Pirates World was okay.... and that does not look like Keira Knightly lol. I liked the pirates in the moonlight mechanic, but that shit got really annoying when the moon are was really small or the covered area was really small. Jack Sparrow sounded... weird. It's not that he's not Johnny Depp, it's just he has this weird accent and sounds like another character that confuses me. Depp's eccentric potrayal is kinda lost here. Which, to me, is the one thing so far that Nomura has let Disney fans down with in trying to be as accurate as possible. Agrabah is also similar to the Hercules world in that it changed up enough to feel fresh. But it's not that memorable since I am having a hard time remembering it. Kingdom hearts 358/2 days Bought this game yesterday and I'm already up to day 75ish. Been skipping almost all of the cutscenes since I'll watch them in 1.5 later. So it's just 4 hours of pure gameplay so far. Firstly, this game is impressive. The fact that h.a.n.d. shrunk down Kingdom Hearts onto the DS of all consoles is fucking mindblowing. And it doesn't look half bad either. Plus, having organization XIII members in your party is really awesome. I love the panel system so far. It gives the player a lot of choice in how to upgrade and arm Roxas and keeps giving you reasons to come back and tweak your setup. Although this system does suffer from what I call "Tetris syndrome." Where you have a limited amount of space and you have to move shit around a lot to get the maximum storage. Although this game does have some simplified mechanics. Limits have gone from being context sensitive to a super move when you're low on health. And MP has been replaced with only being able to use spells a certain amount based on your panels. And with the use of an ether, you can't chose which spell you want to replenish. But it's been a fun experience so far despite the simplified meachnics. Although I feel kinda overpowered at this point since I've installed all the level up panles I've collected and have a strong Keyblade |
XCOM: Enemy Within.
Just completed the infamous "Site Recon" mission. Operation Dying Ring. Four promotions, one soldier lost. Captain Elita "Cairo" Kapur gave her life holding off a group of Chrysalids with rocket fire in order to give the rest of her squad- Cpt. Joan "Omega" Kelly, Lt Cesar "Scarecrow" Delgado, Lt. Alex "Paladin" Ritter, Lt. Shaojie "Chilong" Zhao, and Cpl Matthew "Spider" Weaver- time to retreat to the evac zone before being overrun or caught in the airstrike. |
I played Jump ultimate stars last night, i had no idea what i was doing but it was awesome... I should learn to read japanese.

Sure it doesn't acomplish much storywise but it's still a really fun game. |
Not sure how far in to it I am, but just hit the point in GTAV where Michael and Trevor reunite.
I am aware that all promotional material down to even the cover of the game promote that there are three "protagonists" in this game. And I think that was supposed to be some big change. But it really feels like it's just Michael's story. But... I do play very, very differently as all three, so that's working. Franklin clearly is a bit more, or wants to be more... cultured than the people he's usually around. He's a victim of his circumstances. When I started playing as him, I thought "this guy wants a better life and I'm gonna make that happen." Of course, he's doing that by massive crime heists instead now, but still haha. I don't like to kill as him and think of him as a nicer guy. But his life is only changing because he happened to "repo" Michael's son's car and got tossed in with him. Trevor, duh, is a psycopath, so of course I'm crazy with him. Everyone dies. But he's only here because Michael was his old partner and he knows he's alive now, so came down to Los Santos... And of course you start the game as Michael. Most of what I've done has revolved around him. Which is weird, because I kind of play him as the guy who just doesn't care about anything anymore. I've not done anything crazy yet or gone rampant through the streets... mostly... Just getting through the story for now. |

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
That god damn Tron cycle from Space Paranoids. Just.... Also, I acquired Master and Limit form super close to each other. I don't feel as good with limit form yet, as it breaks Kingdom Heart's "SPAM X" gameplay with "SPAM TRIANGLE" and doesn't feel very powerful for being all of KH1 Sora's abilities. I don't even have an opinion on Master form since I used it only once. |
Who would have thought I'd get to Trever's first chapter in GTA 5 after I had so much trouble getting past Franklin's first mission?
It's become a guilty pleasure to just drive around being a jerk, but I really should go back to GG Xrd in order to unlock more content now that there's a FAQS at GameFAQS, the website where people argue more than 4chan, TFW2005 and the Death Battle forums combined. |

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Holy shit. I actually fought a 1000 Heartless all at once. Holy shit my arm muscles are tired. For some reason, when I press a lot of buttons quickly, my arm bicep burns a little lol. I believe I am now past the halfway point in this game, with having to revisit the worlds and whatnot, and the Organization seeming more involved in worlds' affairs this time around. I think I got Limit form down a bit better by spamming it a ton in the 1000 heartless battle. Still don't have a good feel for Master Form but jeez the combo pattern seems kinda random. One minute I'm dragging in enemies with a vortex, another I'm dual keyblade spinning. |
XCOM: EW
So. First Covert Operation mission against EXALT. Not going well. |
So I messed around a bit in Total War Shogun 2, it seems like a really cool game. Not a game I will be likely to devote the necessary amount of time too, but still fun.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Xaldin. Fucking Xaldin. Okay, I really got a hang of him during the first half of the fight, but his spammy teleport move is really hard to get the timing on in order to do the warp jumps Also, this fight makes me hate Antiform. It seems like 50% of the time when i would use drive, it would put me in anti and make me lose. Fuck Antiform and its randomness. Next up is Hercules world and damn that Hades is a manipulative SOB I actually tried using the summons this time around, as I had only used them like once up to this point and I like Stiches' a lot. Maybe because I love Lilo and Stich. |

Recently started re-playing ORAS. That is all. :lol

Been playing Dragon Age Inquisition on my Xbox One for the last days. Is really fun even though it has its problems. Some of the quests are unnecesarrily hard since you have to find stuff and you get no real leads where to look for them.
Its kinda sad that the world isnt as coherent as I would have liked. You have to travel to different areas and cant just walk there. But on the other hand that allows them to make alot of differen environments and make the game absolutely gigantic. |
Today I am getting Dying Light. More to come once I start playing it! :)

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
Returning to the Pirates World wasn't very special. The main boss this tine around was very easy to beat. I like his medallion collecting gimmick/form when you fight it the second time. Larxene. Oh my god that Absent Shilouette Larxene fight was really really hard. It also didn't help that Sora turned into anti form 90% of the time when I wanted to use any form. I actually had to reduce my combo lengths in order to defend against her doppelganger's attacks. |
KH2FM
I grinded. A lot. I tried to get the second level of each growth ability on normal Sora prior to the Roxas fight so I could have better mobility. And holy hell that Roxas fight. The first part was manageable but once he starts throwing in lasers that fight got hard. So my tactic was to just dodge them and use a shitload of elixers. And yeah Final Form!!!!! It feels fucking amazing. Just how Sora slides and the way the Keyblades hit, magic being so ridiculously powerful, god its so satisfying. Although only being able to grind any sort of amount of nobodies only in this castle does bug me a bit. Xigbar was not very hard of a boss. I died a handful of times to him but I beat him easily. It felt awesome to kick his ass when he was reloading. But all you have to do during his latter half is spam reflect to deflect all of his lasers. But again, I was level 55 with a shitload of AP to equip almost every ability. |
playing the manliest franchise Sega has to offer

Spent all afternoon flying around Los Santos to clear the map and unlock an achievement. Ugh.
Almost done with the story, too. |
Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix
So... I beat Xemnas. And Saix. Yeah. That series of boss fights was easy, the only one that was a minor pain was the on-rails Dragon thing I like the ending, its very much the inverse of Kingdom hearts 1, where they come from the darkness and go into the light and meet back up with Kairi. But I don't understand why the darkness is good now? Because wasn't the whole point of KH1 was to fight off the darkness but now Sora and Riku are embracing it? |
So i beat the first case and i'm currently working my way through case 2 of Ace attorney investigations. I'm really liking this game so far with how unique it is.

Riku embraced the darkness before KH2, that was hi's whole story in Chain of memories. |
