It's most certainly not ideal, no, but they are most likely gonna use the sales of this as a reference for interest in exclusives, if not Rider figures in general. They're just being transparent about it.

Why don't they pick a figure that has its original color scheme and not some gaudy overpriced garbage? Evil is literally coming out next month? Bluefin is already bringing Revi and Vice. Whoever decided to use this release to measure interest in Rider Figuarts is an idiot of the highest proportions.

Again, it's likely being used to gauge interest in (P-Bandai) Exclusives specifically. And the reason it was chosen is likely due to both convenience due to being the most recent exclusive as well as getting corporate brownie points due to being a collaboration item.

I'm not saying you have to like it, or even buy it(heck, I'm not going to). I'm just saying that this is the situation as-is.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that a very limited run of a much-higher-price-than-usual SHF of a design that's not been in any media and is specifically connected to a clothing brand... is not really going to be an accurate gauge of interest in Premium Bandai Kamen Rider SHFs in general? Just somehow this seems the worst possible option they could test it with on an objective level. Not like I've got any horse in this race though so I'm just gonna sit back and giggle at this because it is REALLY funny

Like I get why people are like "That's it?" but it's really annoying when some of us understand why this is as it is and how despite constantly hounding them to try and get P-Bandai Rider stuff this is the first chance they're getting at a widespread offering but are seen as like...Team Rider or Bluefin shills for defending it.

I criticize both when things are done half-assed. Some contests? Half-assed. Some streamed content? Half-assed. This? It's no different from when they offered the Shodo Kuuga set. It's random, out of nowhere, but it's what they were given to gauge interest. Did Bluefin's tweet sound rather blunt? Extremely.

Luckily I don't look to their tweets for KR content. And they're also not wrong. It's something marketed at a specific corner of the KR fanbase here and being offered in limited numbers. If it sells well enough, then we could get the go-ahead for broader offerings.

You don't have to like it, you don't have to buy it, etc, etc, etc. But with how things are with this franchise, spitting the offer back in their face can very well end up being all that's needed for them to go "Welp, guess it's not worth the investment!" and that's that.

It's sucks, but it's how it is.

My question is why would they need to specify that when they already have through the Team Rider side of things multiple times when it comes to literally everything they bring over?

Like at this point if you're following either of those accounts you'd see that mentioned more than once whenever someone asks about specific releases and things brought to the west. They say time and time again that stuff needs approval to be sold or brought stateside. They can't control what does or doesn't get the go-ahead. It's why you get weird stuff like the Shodo Kuuga set as the "Lets gauge interest" P-Bandai offering for the Shodo audience. Would have made more sense being a standard set, but they get what they get and have to roll with it just like we do.

And again, I'll criticize the shit out of both parties and do for multiple things. They don't give me shit to keep me from doing that or to change my mind and even if they did I'd still be transparent. I just think it's dumb that THIS is the thing people get pissed at when it's probably the most basic, to-the-point thing they've offered in months. Literally no fine-print, catches, etc. Here's a collab figure we're able to offer as P-Bandai, if it sells we could see more offered.

Bluefin definitely deserves the push-back for the wording, I just think it's funny that THEY'RE the reason for all this negativity when the KR-specific PR account that I'm sure a majority learned about this from in the first place's been the one pushing this item more and hasn't said anything close to that blunt.

I actually feel Kenzan is one of those designs that looks way better as a figure than a suit? I don't dislike the suit or anything (I can barely think of any Toku suits I out and out dislike. Mage, I guess?) but there was always something off about it to me. But here it looks amazing

Ooh, it might be how his "leg armor" reaches all the way up to his waist, and his belt is actually on his stomach. It's really weird, but I suppose it's so that Fujita can move around easier much more so than he did as Valkyrie. Kenzan works better as a drawing

Yeah, but BBTS deals with both the imported japanese retail release and the Bluefin release which is usually listed after. The one that sold out for them at least is the japanese release that everyone was trying to pre-order as the listing makes no mention of Bluefin like the Bluefin release listings usually do. Hopefully more retailers list Preorders soon, but I'd advise against BBTS for the sole reason that they may keep you waiting far longer for you figure and leave your order unfulfilled, happened to me with Saber. I was waiting till early june for my figure while they had already begun shipping in april. Utimately never fulfilled my order, but thankfully i got the japanese release for retail from an Amazon seller.

I'll definitely check out Sure Thing and Tokullectibles.

I'm not sure I'd recommend the following path, buuuuut...

Diamond Comic Distributors, who distribute to comic shops worldwide, listed both Revi and Vice as available to order. (They source from Bluefin.) That means you can talk to any comic shop in the U.S. and ask them to order both figures for you.

Three caveats:
1) Expect the price to be higher than BBTS or anywhere else online. The wholesale cost (meaning what a store pays Diamond to get the figure for you) is $36.50 for Revi and $50 for Vice. Expect a store to charge you around $65 for Revi and $85 for Vice.
2) They won't be in until June, at the earliest.
3) This is the big one: they might never show up. I've ordered Figuarts through Diamond that showed up a little late (Seihou OOO), and I've ordered ones that just never arrived (Seihou Wizard). Total toss-up, although I'd say these are more likely to come in.

Anyway, there's an option, if you're desperate!
