I'm about halfway through ZyuRanger, and to be honest, it's like the most mediocre Sentai that I've watched yet. Not to say that it's bad, it's grown on me, but I think that it's meh compared to the others that I've seen.
It did pick up a bit now that Burai is here, though. n___n |

I also think a lot of people might not like it because it follows Jetman, which is another one of the best Sentai imo. Quote:

ZyuRanger Episode 32 and 33: Well episode 32 was really good for both Geki and Goushi. I love the levels that Goushi went to snap Geki out of his anxiety and fear from worrying so much about Burai using his time to save them and even believing in what Bandora said was crazy; even grabbing Dan's lance was crazy; but still back to the main point Goushi dressing as the Black Knight and beating sense into Geki was brilliant and what Geki really needed. Also the scene of Daizyujin rising from the ground with Geki holding Goushi was totally epic. I also really liked Dan going to strike the flower to try and destroy it when Geki couldn't, I'd do something like that too.
Dan's focus episode was interesting, I love how he inspired the little girl to have courage. It's was a great episode for having a message like that because I have problems with overcoming fear and instilling courage in someone is great. Bandora is a real bitch for trapping two friends as crystals for millions of years. I think I might end loving Dan as much as I love Billy from Mighty Morphin for completely different reasons but I love that suit so much. I see that everyone else is talking about ZyuRanger here; well honestly I love it a lot right now I can't wait to see how it ends. |

Sun, Live, Jet, Dai, Mega, Deka, Magi, Bouken, Geki, Shinken, Gokai, Go-Bus and Akiba. It's not that I necessarily prefer the newer series, they just tend to be the ones that are actually finished translation-wise. :P Quote:

DekaRanger Episode 11: I felt this episode helped humanize Hoji and made me like him more. Also it helped learn about what he believes in and more of his motives, but failing that he brought in his friend who turned out to be a villain was great to see how it affected him. I really liked the final shoot out between them and how Hoji was more motivated and finally defeated him.
ZyuRanger Episode 34: I feel so bad for Burai but I understand that being couped up when you just want to help your brother and friends stop the evil that's going on you really don't care how much time you have left. I feel so bad that he lost 8 hours being trapped by Bandora but that is very good idea from Bandora to try and eliminate one of the ZyuRangers quicker. This episode had some silly moments to that I enjoyed as well. ZyuRanger Episode 35: Or Ninja Sentai ZyuRanger time. This was a very fun, and cool episode with Boi. I loved him knowing Ninpo and doing all this cool Ninja Abilities were awesome. The Tiger Clones with Six Tiger Rangers attacking with all that Yellow was an amazing sight. Very interesting episode, loved seeing them all in Ninja Outfits. Liveman Episode 14: I loved both episodes 14 with it's focus on Yuusuke and seeing what happens when he gets charged with electricity and can't touch anybody because he'll electrocute them. I really enjoyed that we see a bit of loss of faith in people with Yuusuke it reminded me of Gabura's from Akumaizer-3 and I enjoyed what Megumi and Jou went through to free Yuusuke by having the electricity pass through them. Also loved that Megumi helped bring back Yuusuke's faith in people because they aren't fighting for any recognition or any price, they are fighting to save the world from Bias's army. Also thought it was fun Jou was playing video games so that's why they didn't know about Yuusuke, lol I might have done something similar lol. Also Ashura making the new Shura generals is interesting, I really like Bias and his army because they are all geniuses so their plans are more logical and intellectual. Liveman Episode 15: I am so emotional from this episode I totally loved Hanako from his sillyness to his awesome courage. Seeing Jou and Hanako was fun, I like how he took in this damaged Robot and helped fix him. I thought it was sweet that Hanako gave Jou flowers. Seeing Gush actually attack was great I thought he should have attacked from the beginning he seems like he's more successful than the others so far. Hanako's sacrifice to protect Jou has me all sad right now, he was so awesome and glad he took out Gush's arm. Jou getting empowered by Hanako's sacrifice was great too and hearing he wants to protect everyone is awesome. I loved his Lion punch attack and the fight afterward was awesome. I liked the grave scene for Hanako that was one special robot. |
Seems this is the most appropriate thread I can find, here's the RAW of ToQGer vs. Kyoryuger The Movie:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/k5...2as3p1?start=7 Someone must watch this movie because of... Candelira :lol To be honest, this movie is just above average. Also, it is just like the real version of Kyoryuger vs. movie. The plot is too simple that everyone should understand. For some reasons, they didn't insert many soundtracks which made the movie full of plain voice & sound equipment. However, there's plenty of good things. The scene of the ToQGers getting hurt from the Kyoryuger's pose is just as funny as ever :lol The kids version are cool, they got quite enough time to shine, I just want them to be casted in another future Sentai again :D It seems this is the first time the structure of Sentai Versus movie changed that much. The Ninninger appeared SOOO early and Takaharu got a weird Shuriken that even hadn't featured in the main show. Mecha fight is good, the Crows Train is so OP :lol . The action is kinda meh in the first part but did pick up in the second one. Helmetless rollcall for both team is just too good to be true. Yay :D And YESS, The Shadow Line combined with our heros in the final finisher, so amazing. I got a good laughing with Nero getting a shot of roll call part. Drive x Gaim movie's RAW should be rolling out by now, have another movie to watch is always welcome to me. |
Thanks so much for the link! Just watched and it was sooooo much fun! Though I guess people who didn't enjoy Toqger won't like it as much.

I thought the VS movie was good. Not nearly as much focus on Daigo as I expected

After finishing my re-watch of Lost Galaxy I thought I'd finally sit down and start Gingaman. And I must say, five episodes in and I am very impressed.
I really like the story they set up and the legendary feel it has. The whole cycle story is a fun touch and it works well in a fantastical setting. I'm curious though if they'll ever be an explanation as to why the group was chosen to be the Gingaman, and if only they can utilize Earth Power. I'm really digging the villains too. I love their backstory and the whole clan dynamic. To be honest though it's taking a while to get use to Sambash considering I'm so use to Villemax. The others seem the same as their Ranger counterparts but Sambash is such the opposite, little odd to get use to. The characters are very nice as well. Across the line. Yes some of them don't really have full blown identities (Yuuta, Saya, and Gouki being the big three examples for me so far), however for those with full identities they work well. If I had to pick a favorite so far, I'd say Hayate simply based on I like his outfit, and the green suit was always my favorite of the rangers in Lost Galaxy. However the one big thing I appreciate in the show so far is taking the time to explain everything. There's a reasoning for what the villains are doing on a weekly basis, there's an actual backstory to the Kiba Blades. Compared to Lost Galaxy where the show would just throw stuff at you without any real knowledge given to the viewer, Gingaman is doing leaps and bounds better than it's American counterpart, and only five episodes in. I am definitely loving Gingaman so far and can't wait to watch more. |
