Definitely, I can see him having that same "bro" reaction. Although so far Jake still seems like less of a d-bag than Conner was.

Watched the first episode of Dragon Knight. It was a mixed bag, but certainly interesting enough to keep me interested.

First off...Wing Knight has a signature bike?!? That alone tells me they've gone to some sort of effort adapting this show and I'm going to appreciate it purely on that alone. The transformation sequences are really cool too.

But, man the acting is pretty ropey. I guess its passable since its not something I watch these shows for, but it certainly stood out to me a lot more than it does in most PR shows. The civilian guise of Wing Knight (haven't had his name yet in-show) looks utterly ridiculous too, he can't pull off the Terminator look at all.

I'm curious to how exactly the monsters work in this show too. The mirror monsters of Ryuki were fairly straightforward to understand from the first episode but this was a lot more complex. There's a mirror world, but they can come out of it, but most people can't see them, but then Kamen Riders can transform in the real world and people can see them? I'm sure it'll be explained, I just thought it was a lot to process.

Oh and the "... vent" voice sucks too. Just as well I can read/know that the cards are anyway because half the time I can't understand it.

Regardless, looking forward to more!

Either it's the age of it or it was just poorly made in the first place but the Ryuki footage drastically stands out from the new footage, as the new footage is miles better quality. It isn't quite MMPR bad but close.

Most of the actors weren't actors but martial artists so they grow into their roles as the show goes. That isn't in defence of the acting so much but it does get better.

Also I never really understood the monsters either, most of the time they are just kinda...there. They might explain them but despite the amount of times I've seen the series I can't remember what that explanation was.

And you can't understand the Driver voice? I thought it was fine.

I love the Driver voice... I want the "Final Vent!" sound for my voicemail alert, heheh!

Well, I can. But I think the significantly clearer Ryuki voice is so ingrained into my head that it comes off as too distorted. I might be able to shrug that off when I'm further into it.

Google a torrent is probably your best bet. That's how I got mine.

I've been seeding the Dekabroken torrent for about three or four months.

Youtube, maybe? Like Zeo says, Torrents are probably your best bet though.
