Amen! I'm still surprised they skipped Frontier in favor of Alphamon. But that also made me wonder: are we getting most of the Royal Knights from Digimon Figuarts in the future? Is that their focus? That's the only reason I can see why they picked a Digimon from the obscurity that is the X-Evolution era over one broadcast internationally or from one of the most recent seasons like Shoutmon X3 or even ShineGreymon.

BTW after just watching Big Hero 6 I am in dire need of them Figuarts form. ^^;

Frontier seems to be the Dragon Ball GT of Digimon since most fans dislike it and I don't think it was popular in Japan. Tamashii may mainly only focus on Adventure 1-2 and Tamers.

Skip Frontier? What do you mean? There hasn't been any real order, chaotically going around for the first three series. Considering Savers and Xros Wars haven't been touched yet, there hasn't been anything really skipped.

I can see that. I guess that's also why we have Figuarts of most of the main Pretty Cures except for Splash Star, unless I happened to miss it.

But it still surprises me that Xros Wars, which did good profit toy-wise, wasn't made into at least 1 Figuart in the last few years. IDK, just me I guess.

Tamers seems to get a lot of love in the franchise next to the first two seasons. It could be nostalgia but I see a lot of fans liking it how darker the show.

Well Tamers is a pretty strong show in terms of writing. Alot of things especially the first season lacked in so its not surprising it gets as much love as it does.

When I was complaining about the lack of releases for Tamers (DVDs (Before it was announced), and more D-Arts for it (Beelzemon being the only one released at the time)), everyone was telling me that Tamers was unpopular in Japan so Bandai is trying to ignore it and that kind of shit...

That would certainly be true in terms of the german Digimon Fandom. Here its Adventure or nothing.

I don't know which seasons are popular in Japan or not, I just think Frontier has some great designs to be made into fully articulated and well detailed figures.

But I would be happy with some others too. I think one of my greatest dreams would be a figure of Zeromaru (Veedramon) because I love the V-Tamer 01 manga so much. Wouldn’t be opposed to a UlforceVeedramon-figure, but I think Veedramon is more characteristic.

The chances of getting Veedramon are really low though, since it never had any major involvement in the franchise outside of that manga-series and the video games. We could get UlforceVeedramon if they ever choose to do more Royal Knights.

I would be happy with more characteristic Champion-levels though, from all shows. We get Mega after Mega, and while they look cool I wish for more classic Digimon with a more simple design. Leomon could be great, with the scars all over his body, the belts on the left arm and the wild mane. Could also come with his sword which you can put into the scabbard, so you can do some cool sword-drawing poses.

If I recall, Mugendramon/Machinedramon typically tops popularity lists in Japan, so he might end up getting made...Eventually.

However, I think Magnamon should have a high chance, since he's a Knight, he has appeared in a series that has characters made (02), and his design isn't very complicated.

Personally, I'd like to have Sleipmon/Kentarosmon, but I'm not holding my breath due to his incredibly odd design.

Will never happen though, 'cause Examon.

Honestly, I think it's the Knight aspect that will get Magnamon made. Appearing in a series is just the cherry on top.

And definitely. A winged, six legged centaur with a giant crossbow attached to one arm, and a huge shield attached to the other (And not being able to cheat like they did with Gallantmon since both his hands are always visible)? He'd probably drive Figuarts designers mad just trying to sketch him out :lol

Not necessarily. Wargreymon is gigantic, and Omnimon is noticeably larger (Wargreymon and MetalGarurumon having to physically grow on screen just to form the arms), but their Figuarts aren't that different in height.

I don't doubt for a second that they can pull of Examon & Sleipmon. Looking at how different some D-Arts & especially some Monsterarts were they wouldn't exactly be treading into no-man's-land.

I'm having a hard time picturing a Sleipmon figure with high articulation, but then again, Figuarts has surprised me before.
