Just marathoned episodes 45-7 of Gekiranger. Damn, that was some good Sentai. I really only stopped because 48 is still downloading from krdl, but it actually feels like the show could end here and, aside from the last-second cliffhanger, feel like a good finale. Honestly, I kind of want it to end here, because I've heard enough about this show before now to know what comes next and I really don't want to see that happen.
Also, in episode 47 when Jan went to confront Rio in the snowy mountains I kept looking around to see if Chalice was standing somewhere in the background. :lol |
Oh, man, now I'm hype to get through the next 10 episodes of Gekiranger for LWW
But 3 episodes a week. Killing me :lol |

I'm prolonging marathoning the remaining Geki episodes to enjoy them more, with the 3 episodes a week thing... |

Okay, time to sit down and watch the last two episodes of Gekiranger.
|
I watched episode 20 of Battle Fever J it was a fun episode. I hope the series picks up and becomes less episodic but I doubt that.
|
So, finished Gekiranger.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...8220242183.jpg Really epic ending. Will discuss in greater detail in a few weeks. Overall, it was a great show. Probably my third favorite now, just behind Dekaranger and Gokaiger. I will miss you all, now that Matrixbeast is going to kill me for that last sentence. :p |

>Gokaiger ...Never mind. Anyway, in all honesty, I don't mind it not being someone else's absolute favorite. But Gekiranger seems to be in the same position Go-Onger is for me. In that eternal "I'll get to it later" spot, and I just want more people to just watch it. It's a great series with a wonderful story and awesome characters, not being overtly gimmicky like it's fellow shows. I just want to spread the Geki love, and it's great to hear you enjoyed it! |

1. Dekaranger 2. Gokaiger 3. Gekiranger 4. Jetman 5. Dairanger Gekiranger's a great show and I really like it a lot, but I sometimes felt like the villain stuff was always great (and I'd almost argue that Mele is the show's closest thing to a main character for most of its run), but the hero stuff doesn't always feel as solid. And aside from Ken and Jan, I mostly found the Gekirangers themselves fairly low-key and lacking in the dynamics of a cast like the Dekarangers or Jetmen. |
Huzzah. Gekiranger managed to beat Jetman!
Anyway, I'll agree that the hero side of things is lacking compared to Dekaranger (I don't think Retsu really gets much story beyond Gou's introduction and Ran...HEART!), but I just adored the villain side of things way too much. And I'm still that doe eyed lad who doesn't enjoy watching the villain win, but when the villains are as great as Rio and Mele, I can't help but smile as I watch them. They sold the show for me. Rio was brooding, but he was active enough that it never bugged me, and Mele was just awesome. |

After watching so much Kamen Rider the cheapness of Go-Busters doesn't feel such an issue anymore but I'm still not really sure how I feel about it. The characters are really annoying but whenever I feel like giving up there is a great mech battle that keeps me going, I guess like Gransazer in that regard, although I like those characters better.
|
Watched Jetman 2, GoGoV 1, Akibaranger S2 7 and Kyoryuger 15. Super Sentai is awesome.
|
Watched Boukenger Task 30. I am greatly amused by Zuuban for some reason. Cool monster, too, with the Legendary Beast powered by the Goadam Engine.

So I just started Episode 17 of Zyuranger. If my assumption of the title is correct, it's Dragon Ranger time! Yahoo!
|
Bandora's song and dancing.....LMFAO HAHAHAHAHA!! :lolol
|
When does Go-Busters start to go downhill before it picks up at around episode 25 again? Cause I'm only on the early episodes but I'm actually really enjoying it so far, the action is great and I'm really warming to the characters plus with the way the show is constructed it actually makes sense to have standalone episodes centred on just one mission the Busters have to tackle.
|
Finally finished Jetman. I knew it ended with Gai's death, but it was still so sudden and random, so weird to have such a sad ending to a Sentai series. I really did enjoy Jetman a lot though. Tamashii Nations, get yo' ass into gear and release those Raita, Ako and Kaori Figuarts you advertised! You better not cancel them or I will cry!
Now I'm watching Magiranger, up to episode 8. I'm enjoying it, its strange how Mystic Force is toted as one of the most direct adaptations, when the two are very, very different. I enjoy both, though. |

Considering the possibly irony, I'm willing to wager Locke will declare the show took a nosedive after Beet and Stag arrived :lol

Beast saved Wizard for me. I always felt Haruto was more "Uninterested and bored" than "Subdued and subtle." :p |

Beet and Stag are pretty awesome but also polarizing. I've seen people who hated their flippant attitudes and then there are others like me. Who LOVE the pair of them, best characters and parts of the show. Not sure how Locke will like them though. Their pretty wacky but really cool.
|
Honestly I didn't think there were that many REALLY bad episodes of Go-Busters, even in the first 25 or so. It's slow yes, but not out and out bad.

Seeing as I just finished Go-Busters, I actually enjoyed the whole season. People kept telling me it was one of the worst seasons of sentai out there and I shouldn't bother with it, but personally I didn't see it. The only episodes that I felt that was really weak in my opinion were the Gavan two parter. Other than that, it is one of my favorite seasons. It all comes down to personal taste I guess.
|
Oh yeah, that Gavan 2-parter was pretty awful. It worked quite well as a bridge between the two parts of the show but that was about it.
