I know, and the same holds true with Fourze, but W was a bit darker and more dramatic than that so I thought they may actually go through with what I felt was a stronger, more appropriate way to end it. 49 is there for those that need the happy ending I suppose, but to me I'm gonna close it off at 48 on any future endeavors, it makes the series much stronger IMO.

And true it doesn't really undo my emotions I felt, it just feels like a bit of a slap in the face to me..especially since the last series I watched did the same damn thing.

For all the bad things I may have said about W I actually love it's finale :lol

I honestly felt 49 cancelled the purpose of the emotions invoked by 48.
It's not like we even got an episode for it to sink in. That's just me, though.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a happy ending. But I did feel Double stretched too far to get it.

W isn't my first Rider series either. I started with Wizard, which is ongoing. My first series I watched from start to finish was Fourze, so I do have a bit of a special attachment there. W I just felt was incredibly strong from start to finish. Rarely did I feel it dragged on or lost my interest. Thematically it managed to find a wonderful balance between fun, lighthearted moments and dark, dramatic ones. The stories and characters were likeable and interesting. We had a great cast of villains with some pretty neat designs (though I still think I prefer the Zodiarts). Was the show perfect? No, it certainly had its issues, and the overall ending to the series I feel was one of them given how strong the second to last episode was (the series really should have ended there, IMO), but as a whole it was really solid and deserves the praise it gets.
I think the problem was a lot of people loved Philip and didn't want to see him leave, plus he is essential to the W transformation so any future movie wars would be rather weird to just have Joker and Accel. Still, they could have brought Philip back in the OOO X W movie war, or in some other later installment. But I digress, W is currently my favorite series (not saying much seeing that I've only watched W, Decade and Wizard) and episode 48 is my favorite episode from that series, again, should have ended there but it's not like the finale was bad, just could've been better.

I deffinately prefer 48 as the finale over 49 for sure, I'm just saying it didn't really bug me so much as I just accepted it.

You're thinking of Movie War 2010. Remember, Kivara made her debut in that movie which was after All Riders vs. Dai Shocker. I just finished Decade recently... loved it by the way!

I'm far from an expert my friend but I'll happily make suggestions. Between OOO & Kiva it's a tossup again. I think OOO is great. It's got a lot of variety for the heroes forms & powers, the villains are pretty interesting (especially Maki), and the ending is manly tears worthy. Great designs all around for OOO forms and for Birth. This show should be on anyones' watch list.

Wataru starts off pretty timid and sheepish, no more so than Ryutaro from Den-O in my opinion. By the end of the series he's easily one of the most powerful riders out there. Otoya makes that show worth while if you can't find anything else to redeem it. Which I think would be highly unlikely.

I'd personally rank them as about on par with each other. I'd probably say go with OOO first, though, because Date and Ankh.

Good man. I'm on episode 15 right now, and I'm loving every minute of it. I don't think that Wataru is as (for lack of a better term) wimpy in the beginning as Ryotarou was.

That's what I always say. They used Ryutaro as a template for Wataru in the same that they wanted to cash in on the Taros with Kivas' Arms Monsters. The characters wind up being similar but still satisfying in my opinion. I like Kiva even with the few faults it has.

Garuru/Jirou: Kind of like Momotaros, but they are different. Momotaros is more of the crazy tough guy, whereas Jirou is more of "he's the tough guy you don't want to mess with, because he'll mess you up [spoiler],or rather consume your soul[./spoiler]

Bashaa: The only similarities I see is: They're both the kid of their respective groups, and they talk with a similar...dialect...I guess?

It's not even that they have similar personalities. Toei saw the huge success of Den-O and the Taros and wanted to try that formula again. See if they could get the same results. The Arms Monsters come off fine though Jirou is the only one with real personality.

Anyway Kiva episode 16:

It was pretty good. Throughout the whole thing, I was afraaid of something bad happening when "Dai-chan" regained his memory. It did...he killed that girl :( Powered IXA was cool. As for 1986...it was good too. It kind of sucked how one sided Jirou and Otoya's fight was. I have a question guys...(this applies to the IXA Knuckle as well) in Den-O. If one has a Rider Pass...does the Den-O belt just materialize when they have it? Because it seems implied that that's the case (take Negataros and Gaoh for example).

EDIT: episode 17:

Again, prety good. Nago screaming "that buton is mine!" Was kind of funny. That sucks that the archer girl witnessed her partner die at the hands of a Fangire. Is it wrong that I really want to uy a motorcycle and have it customized to look like Kiva's? Anyway, I find it weird that Nago was able to fake out the Garuru Saber, since it seems like it's like New Den-O in that Jirou is the Garuru Saber. Anyway...DoGaBaki form appears in the next episode!

I would personally recommend Ryuki to anyone, I love that series. It has a great number of interesting characters and the plot, well, its interesting to the very end.

Anyway I've finished the first 3 episodes of Faiz and is it just me or the pacing of this show is a tad slow? I mean 3 episodes in and I can't still make a feel for Takumi, ok he's different from Godai, Shouichi and Shinji in that he's reluctant to be rider but other than that he's still a bit flat as a character. Heck in the first episode I thought Yuji was the main character. Now in episode 3 they've introduced 2 more characters that would probably be relevant to the story but it still a bit vague. And what's up with that Yuka girl's family? That's messed up.

I don't know if its because I'm coming from a high from Ryuki or Faiz is just slow story wise but I'm still waiting for it to hook me in. Well its just 3 episodes in so maybe it'll get better, hopefully.

The Arms Monsters really are the weapons - hence "Arms" in their group name.
It's never explained how they were able to develop fuestles that could steal the Arms Monsters... But seeing as it's also never used again, it's not really something worth fretting over.

However, I will admit that Decade wasn't written as a god among men that we all should worship, so that's a step in the right direction.

Decade 4.
What the fuck. Decade just up and kills Rook (Ignoring the fact that he can kill Rook in the first place) and doesn't get called out on it? They're not just monsters in this universe. They live alongside humans in coexistence. Why wasn't Decade punished for his actions? He essentially killed a cop who was chasing a criminal because the criminal was a pretty lady.

i've been noticing something, each of our series have a bad main character which is each of our main problems. except decade actually has a reason :p
