Jokes aside, it looks like some mindless fun which isn't particularly worse than taking a classic story and adapting it in the shittiest ways possible which is what DC Animation does way too often these days IMO (that and cramping Damian Wayne into everything), so I will watch it. I would’ve preferred a straight up Batman vs. Godzilla though. And don't tell me money's an issue, they waste enough money on Snyder's crappy fetish movies so they could use it for something actually interesting for a change. Oh, and of course the YouTube comment section is full of "This is not Batman"-crybabies already. Are people really that stupid that they forget how like 90% of Batman incarnations had a giant robotic Tyrannosaurus Rex in their lairs? And I'm pretty sure he’s worn a giant exo-skeleton more than three times in the last couple years. But hey, everything that's not Miller or Nolan these days is apparently not Batman anymore. Jesus Christ. |
It's cute that they're trying to make Chemo cool :lol

I don't exactly know what people expect from the Batman Unlimited films. They're just giant toy ads.
Pretty good/fun ones at that if you ask me. |
I have no interest in the Unlimited movies, but they exist solely to sell toys, so I'm not sure why anyone is upset over them.
|
My older cousin's four year old son loves the Lego Batman and Unlimited movies. So they are not written with the older audience in mind. Batman is a character for all ages. The younger kids have the Unlimited films and Lego Batman while the older fans have the darker direct to video films and the Arkham video games.
|
Most older fans I know are looking forward to the Lego Batman movie a hell of a lot more than they are Batfleck's film, even the ones who loved Batfleck in BvS :lol

Did anybody else think that Superman #7 was amazing? Because I've always wanted a comic where superheroes take a day off and go to the fair.
Sure, in my oddly specific imagination it was an issue of Justice League, but Superman is cool, too. Also, Trinity is a beautiful book. |
Yeah, this was pretty much more entertaining than all three CW shows from last season. +1000 points for the Diggle reaction shot.
Edit: Apparently the video is being yanked from YouTube as fast as it goes up, since (for the time being) it's supposed to be exclusive to the CW App. If I find another working one I'll post it. Edit 2: It looks like the full Superhero Fight Club 2.0 promo can be viewed here: http://www.theworkprint.com/superher...fight-club/123. Edit 3: Back on YT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7SnhM6H900 Also, the big crossover event this year is apparently an adaptation of Invasion!, with the Dominators. |

The Justice Society has assembled. Obsidian's costume is beyond ridiculous and I don't even know what to say about Commander Steel. It's pretty interesting though that we'll have Commander Steel (the grandfather) and Citizen Steel (the grandson) at the same time. |
The hell did they do to Dr Midnite?
DC's color allergy is now showing up in in their TV shows. |

The title of Ben Affleck's Batman Movie has tentatively been revealed as "The Batman":
http://comicbook.com/2016/10/03/ben-...an-solo-movie/ Not to be confused with the cartoon that aired on WB back in the early 2000s.... |
so caught up with supergirl and loved it bring on season 2 and just started nearly finished season one of flash.

The season 3 premiere of the Flash was interesting. I was surprised that that Flashpoint only lasted one episode. I thought this would be all season long. And now that everything is back to normal, Iris is gone. The scene with Dr. Alchemy was pretty cool.

As for the episode, I have to wonder how long Barry's acceptance of his parents' death will last. The Speedforce episode from last season was undone almost immediately. I was really hoping the writers could move away from the "Barry needs a pep talk to defeat the villain". It grated especially badly coming from a version of Iris who didn't really know him, despite feeling he completed her or whatever. I was mostly entertained, but the big flaws from last season seem to still be there and I'm cautious. Especially considering how badly Arrow fell off the cliff last season. |
I want to watch this but I don't have an American TV.
|
I liked the premier. If you expected this to be the huge world altering event that was in the comics, that is your own fault because we already knew this was going to be exactly what the story was originally meant to be had it not been for Didiot's interferrence. It was awesome seeing Wally in the costume and I hope this isn't the last of him in it. On the other hand, I have no idea who The Rival is. I've never heard of him at all. The only thing I can think of is if he is a New 52 villain since I stopped reading those comics after 12 or so issues. The ending with Mirror Master and Dr Alchemy was pretty cool (although, I was really hoping to see him be Mr Element first). Now that is not to say I didn't feel some disappointment because it seemed to be over too soon. This really should have been a much bigger event. Like maybe they should have done Flashpoint as a 5 parter, started the season in Sept, and then had Arrow and stuff premier after Flashpoint was over. So I liked it, I enjoyed it, I was entertained, but I wasn't rocked as much as I wanted to be.

I didn't think Flashpoint would last too long--it'd get really complicated with the other shows really quickly. But I liked the episode.
Can't wait for Supergirl, though. Quote:

The Arrow premier kind of... sucked. There editing was choppy as hell and the camera motions were terrible. At first I thought they were done well, but then they started jittering and had really weird sudden angle changes that completely distracted me from the immersion of the episode. Not to mention the writers have clearly learned NOTHING from Season 4. Flash is the only reason I'm going to continue watching this show and continue buying the BDs (since WB doesn't care enough to put the crossovers together on each series' respective discs). The worst part was when Ollie started to talk about his whole killing speech. UGH!! We've already dealt with this, DO SOMETHING ELSE!!! I do hope things improve though.

So excited for this. The effects look much improved compared to last season anyway and Grandma Vixen looks like she's gonna be part of the team, interesting. |
