There's so much different between the forms, though. Almost every inch of the Gundam changes between modes. That's a lot of new tooling for a p-bandai release.

Yup, heard stories of people breaking Zeta gundam and the MG Unicorn is fiddly as it is.

It'd be better then just only selling one form or having the stupid 1/144 thing try to transform.

Did Unicorn Mode Unicorns really sell that well for them to consider releasing both a Destroy and Unicorn mode RGs? I think maybe for compeltionists, they got it, but I think there aren't that many people who prefer Unicorn over destroy mode.

I don't think anyone bought the Unicorn modes other than, as you said, completionists.

I'm tempted to buy it and put it in lovey-dovey poses with the EZ-8.

Speaking of the Origin kits, the Dom test type has been out for a bit.

Man, I'm super jealous of that cool weapon. Defintley made Origin stuff a lot more tempting to a lot of people with the new weapons. Sort of lore breaking in a sense, because on the box, the weapon looks like it can charge a beam, which Zeon didn't have that technology at that point.

It is, but it's also p-bandai sadly. It's pretty much a purple Origin Dom Test Type with the arms and head of the normal Zaku ii and a new shoulder. They're also marketing it as an Origin kit for some reason, even though it actually appeared in 08MST.

Yeah, the branding on that is weird. P-Bandai kinda sucks like that sometimes. Unless they are shoving the Origin stories of all the other One Year War era characters at the last minute or something lol.

You guys think we'll ever see a PG Barbatos at some point? IBO is more popular then some of the more recent Gundam series, so maybe?

It depends. Series popularity doesn't always mean a design is popular.

That said, if they wanted to go all-in with the various upgrades, it'd print money IMO.
