Personally I do not mind the techno-organic aesthetic they are pushing for cause it does look less like a spandex suit with a zipper on the back, but the suits could look better if they trim-down and go for a slightly more slimmer look and which is why I think the 1995 suits had the right amount of extra suit details.

And also you gotta understand that the recent trailer alone sure felt like a mishmash of the Breakfast Club and Chronicle with a teacup spoonful of MMPR.

This is a new generation and why would I as a life long fan since 93 want the new film to be like the shows? What works on TV cant always work on the big screen and its about time that the rangers are moving in this direction. Today teens deal with bullying, and all sorts of issues and I like the fact that its in the film. Also I love the costumes. People need to stop comparing it to Iron Man. Iron Man sucks and is no Power Ranger. Your just one of those people who hate change and you think the "in thing to do" is cast judgment because you see other people doing it. If you are casting judgment, then don't look, watch, or see the film. You say "ripping things from other films" what did they rip? Because they wear mech suits? Its funny people like you want to bitch and moan about it because its the "in thing to do" like every other film that comes out because its the new trend to bash new things but bottom line, you will be there opening night so why complain when you can just look forward to it. You bring up Transformers... I'm a child of the 80s and there is no way I would have watched a live action Transformers film if they looked like they did in the 80s cartoon. Its not realistic or believable, And as far as the zords being mind blowing, I ment compared to the original shows.
